Always putting out awesome vid been working on uploading more videos and trying to get more comfortable talking and recording working on building sup now set a goal of 1000 by end of the year keep up the hard work and I'll keep watching
Hey, my kids and I love watching your videos. And this Delorean cart rips! We always hear you guys talking about go power sports codes. Now we need some parts from them and can't find coupon codes anywhere. Do you guys have any active codes? John, best of luck with your new house, I hope it has a nice track.... for testing purposes only ofcourse. Eithe way, It'll be fine! Keep up the good work gents 😎
I have a high compression, Mod2 cam with 1.3 rockers, fully ported 212 running the Juggernaut and it's positively awesome. Any full throttle action under 30mph is instant wheelie. super smooth and controllable
Now that looks fun as all get out. Hey john I seen in another video your truck looked all painted. We want to see it, don’t be holding out on us. Maybe 88 mph can be achieved. Great video
I'm switching a tao 110 to just a motor and centrifugal clutch. Was wondering motor and clutch set up. Was going to buy a predictor 212 from harbor freight. What carb adjustments do I have to do for gas pedal?
You could put some cool heavy filters over that intro clip of Ike and use it for a channel title clip or something. Soo cool and cut just right IMO. I am gonna have a go myself.
If the torque converter boosts low end torque but you lose some top end speed, go to a smaller rear sprocket to get the top end higher. The low end will still be great and you may get to the 88 mph you are looking for. Billlk
Love watching you guys having fun! I've stumbled across a few TH-cam vids recently where they're using smog pumps, or AMR300 roots blowers (tiny fellows) to supercharge their little 212 (or larger)engines. Have you two explored this concept? Use a draw through carb configuration, keep the compression low, and run billet rod, flywheel, etc. I know, I'm going to give it a try when I have some free time...
Love the way this carts handling appears to so responsive, I want to take it for a ride w/ the original stage 4 engine and the juggernaut... That would be sick.
I think you are going to find that the chain is jumping because the rear axle is flexing. The driven sprocket is a long way from the axle bearing and you are generating enough torque to bend it out of alignment enough to loosen the chain. I suggest that you add a third bearing anchored to the engine mounting plate. If the chain was the problem it would break rather than stretch enough to jump a tooth. You have the same kind of problem on the 670 dragster which shows up clearly in the slo-mo footage of the test videos.
Take a look at you original manco dingo the torque convertor is much more stable using two bearings and a way longer shaft/engine riser this puts distributes the torque under the engine instead of the drive shaft side of the engine stopping the flex issue the TC plate can cause with this hi torqe set up or if you run some big ass tires in my opinion lmk what you guys think?
You really should go to the drag strip and do the disc clutch vs torque converter comparison. Or get a Dragy and do some 330’ pulls. I’d like to see the difference in 60’, ET, and mph. That would make an awesome “Data” video.
So here is a challenge for you. Can you build a monters crawler cart with only a the 3hp Briggs? Small cart, big big tires(for its size), and lots of gear reduction.
I have also heard you need to change the oil often running alcohol. Also if you are grinding aluminum it can stick to the disk and then come loose and fly at you.
Not all torque converters line up on the inside like this one. Just a little PSA. The larger converters for 420cc or bigger have belts with bevels on both sides and you line up pulleys by their center
Hey Fellas, did y'all ever build a Shifter-Kart with a Honda CR80/85 engine?? Now that'd definitely get U to 88mph & then some!!! If u haven't alrdy done a build, Will U PLZ Do ONE??? If anyone else agrees plz hit that thumbs up so they'll notice and just maybe they'll consider it. Have a pleasant day folks!
You guys should look at getting one of those diamond metal cut off wheels by rigid or diablo from home depot. They are where the cutoff disk are for your grinders. I love mine. I've cut steel and aluminum and even did some mild grinding on aluminum. The nice thing is if it accidentally binds it only bends the cutoff wheel a little. Use a pair of pliers to straighten it back up and your good to go again.
Mason Gerszewski DAM!!!! Good eye right there!!! That is one elusive vehicle right there!! I had a chance to buy my buddies in 1985 for $300. It was a 5.0, and in decent shape (better than my 1973 Gold Duster). Why didnt I you ask??? Because it was...................yellow. I am an idiot. One of 3 cars I should have never let get away from me in my lifetime.
@@glenpiro313 I have always loved capris. Never had one. Closest I've gotten was a 79 Cobra mustang. But seeing LMR's project Mercury rising Capri on TH-cam made me want one more than ever! If you haven't yet, check that baby out
420 chain/sprockets and bump up the pinion 3-4 teeth. Need to leverage that torque better! Why do the engines fling oil all around? Is there some sort of internal baffle you could use to help mitigate that some?
@@isaacitllbefine7231 Ah, I didn't catch that. Just know that it seems to be a bit of a thing on some of these carts where you have to have a "catch can" for oil overflow and didn't really grasp why.
what was the autopsy on the Predator 670cc v twin engine from the drag rail ? my theory is it fried a crank bearing making it bend down on that side and flywheel hit ignition and that caused the sparks. this might have hurt all bearings on crank assembly due to offset load and seized it up.. this usually can also fck up the ignition by demagnetizing it and make it real weak. sparks looked like when a flywheel come loose and collide.
My manco dingo with 420 chain still chunks with the torque convertor and just a stage one predator it's got some wicked torque with my big tires on it this throws grass everywhere I need a pre stretched chain and thinking about putting the old jackshaft style torque convertor on I think all the torqe is flexing the aluminum plate than and just small side to side engine movement with the torque makes the chain slip
That kind of thing happens when too much power is applied to low power equipment. #35 chain is only rated around 5hp or less. Check specs before ya build. That's how bad injuries happen.
Great explanation on the torque converter setup but, you neglected to mention this only applies to ASYMMETRIC setups with a single TAPERED edge belt. Some setups (usually without a backing plate) are symmetrical in which case, this advice doesn't apply...
I used to race methanol and ethanol racing karts. Always pickle the engine when you store it. Break the fuel line off at the gas tank and put a spout of Wd-40 in it and crank the engine over until the WD-40 reaches the pump
License plate: Outatime
John in the intro: Outafocus
Mitchell Frechmann but Ike was spot on.
@@jbrinTexas yea! That's what matters! 😏
Lol
Out of all of our projects, this one is in the top 5! We need a Delorean body!
Always putting out awesome vid been working on uploading more videos and trying to get more comfortable talking and recording working on building sup now set a goal of 1000 by end of the year keep up the hard work and I'll keep watching
Show us the inside of the drive pulley. Does it have rollers? The biggest problem with the Comet is the metal on metal design.

I need those rear rims and tires link please
Aluminum cutting with a thin disc grinder needs a pass through a bar of soap every so often keeps it from doing that
As looks go, my favorite.
For safety grab some wax and run your wheel edge into the wax before cutting aluminum. It keeps it from gauling the wheel.
Issac getting down with the driftness! Heck yeah! That lil guy rips!
Definately one of my favorite builds! There is never enough power, that is what they make throttle's for! Love it!
Great to see this cart back!! I think we need to see a bit more of that shop in the opening scene!!
N Henderson pretty sure that’s Ike’s. You can check it out on his own channel
Jackson Busch it must be a different angle. I didn’t recognize it.
That white Chevy body behind you guys needs a build
I think they are gonna make a mold of it for an extra for their lifted kart...
Yes!!! This is one of my favorite projects. So simple and clean. Plus it rips!
Been watching for a few years now and this one is for sure my favorite
without a doubt the best go-kart channel I love go kart thanks to you I congratulate
U should make a sheet metal body that makes it look like a Delorean
You done a great job, that things is so awesome.

Awesome guys, love this kart!!
I just got my manco american express running yesterday! Nice timing!
Mini mayhem at the freedom factory
nice looks like a fun ride
Put ivory bar soap on blades when cutting aluminum, works great on band saw blades too.
That's a sweet Capri in the background!
Great video guys looks really great what a fun looking cart Thanks for sharing
Wow, that thing is quick!
This is a little beast!
You can usually clean off aluminum from those blades and saw blades with Copper
This thing is awesome! Probably one of my favorite that you've done
This is one of your nicest carts. Love it.
This is too funny. I was just watching old videos and I was watching all the delorean ones lol
Dude this kart rips lol. I'm very impressed with the way it just takes off and spins those little tires. Looks like fun guys

Phil swift: THATS A LOT OF DAMAGE
John: THATS A LOT OF TORQUE
Great go kart. Such a classic.
Is the white mini truck in the beginning of the video the one going to be lowered ?
You guys kill my back working on the floor. Time to get an atv lift and work standing up.
A Musick Exactly. I'm too old for that floor work. I made a sturdy table with a solid core door as a top for fabricating.
@@abedanielspictures that is a great idea
... I had to crawl on the dirt under my mustang to replace my ground cable two days ago and my back is still sore LOL
Ya should put some knobby tires on it and rerun on your ( grand prix) yard track. Slicks are for asphalt!
I agree with knobby tires, let's see that thing ripp it up!!!!
74 is still pretty awesome!
I can't even break 32mph with a stage 1, torque converter lol
Did you guys try to start it on the old E85? if not you should have tried to fun it first and see how it would run or if it would even run>

I love that frame , i think that's gonna be the next one i build
If you don’t mind me asking what jet size did you end up with on the e85 I’m running a 26mm and wandering a starting range on jetting with the switch
That is Awesome

E85 alone is ok, its the blended gas that has the troubles with sitting.
They are also using canned gas which is not the same as what you buy at the pump, since canned has stabilizers added.

use a soapstone and coat the cutting disk with it on the cutting edge, will cut like butter and keeps it from loading up.

Hell yeah

Mitchell O'Brien or just drain it before you store
Zeth Loveless that it true. But the Wd-40 costs the lines, carb and pump and keeps them from drying out/cracking

That's heavy.
Should do a real shifter kart build with disk brakes and use a built 420 for 7-8k rpms with some high end gearing for 80+ and take it to a track
I thought John was buying a house?? When do we get to see the new playground!
Chevy Chevette in the background, and a mid 70's Camaro? Chevette was first car! Wish I still had it!!! Do something with it!!!
