  • Of the many villains in recent anime history, JuJutsu Kaisen's dark and bloody "Disgraced One" Sukuna is perhaps one of the most vicious and evil. But sadly, while he has since established his presence as one of the strongest villains in the Sorcerer Society, the ongoing story has suffered drastically because of it.
Should Sukuna win? Beware this spoiler-ridden analysis as I break down why and what would happen if this four-armed Heian Era hedonist were to succeed and achieve ultimate victory.

The end of this extraordinary summary of the character made me want sukuna to win more. Idk but the story ending with the audience feeling hallow and unaccepting of the outcome because at the end of the day movies, TV shows, anime, cartoons, music, etc... is all art and art is not necessarily meant to make you "feel good" or "keep you entertained" it's supposed to send a message to the viewer. Hopelessness is a message. I worry about an artist that makes art around hopelessness because everyone wants to be distracted from the hopelessness that is life itself so people tend to disparage them. If Sukuna wins in the manga I highly doubt the anime will be green lit to finish. It'll get the Deadman wonderland treatment.

What was it that Drago said during the movie "Rocky IV?"
"If he dies, he dies." (?)
In my opinion, if the story does end that way, the best outcome is just having that feeling of dissatisfaction. I feel this would open up the eyes of audiences to seeing how stories could've ended and perhaps shifting the outcome to more positive, "earned" endings, y'know?
      I appreciate the honest comment!

@@expychristian if I'm being really honest I believe that Sukuna is the actual MC of the story because of the pilots title. It would be narratively interesting to have a MC that for the majority of the show cannot interact with the over world because he's "in prison". Since Sukuna left Yuji, Yuji has been fairly irrelevant to anything. Sukuna hasn't killed him yet because of his ideal..... He is saving Yuji for last basically. So he can get the best and most "flavor" out of their fight.

It sure has developed significantly since the start of the arc.
