    Please continue the story beyond episode 6.. There is SO MUCH MORE to this heartbreaking story. I lived in the area of Washington state when this happened and it still haunts my dreams here and there, even after all these years. My 1st husband hung himself in the tree outside our son's window in June of 2005, and the parallels between our stories are far too similar to ignore.
    I consider myself extremely lucky that the psychological damage he suffered encouraged him to only take himself out instead of our 2 son's (both aged 7 and age 1 at the time in 2005) and me, at the age 27 at the time of his death.
    What happened to Susan, and her family is beyond understanding or comprehension. And the fact those sick bastards took her whereabouts to their graves can NEVER be forgiven or forgotten.
    I think about the Cox family daily to this day, even now in May 2019.
    I have immense sorrow for all those involved knowing there are so many unanswered questions that really may never, ever be answered.
    My heart truly goes out to Chuck and Judy Cox, and everyone else involved in this horrific act committed by the sick, and sadisistc POS's who carried out this insanity.
    My only only hope is that Chuck and Judy find the peace they so desperately deserve

      Dianne, I am sooo sorry you were put thru such horrible circumstances. I too, think of Chuck and Judy a lot. I do not understand why they couldn’t just give Susan’s whereabouts before deciding to take himself out. I am very glad your 1st husband did not try and go after your kids! Hopefully one day, Susan can be returned to her family and she can be properly buried and give them an ounce of closure. Stay strong, Dianne, you’re worth it!

      As a parent myself, I can't even begin to imagine what the Chuck & Judy Cox have suffered, and are still suffering. It's literally beyond my comprehension that they can even get up and face each day. My heart breaks for them, Susan and those precious boys.

    I thought the voice-over for Susan was fantastic. It really brought Susan to life, it was so good. It's hard to find words to say just how good this Podcast is. It's absolutely fantastic in every way. How you managed to put together so much information and tell it the way you did is incredible. It's truly a masterpiece. I think it's also a wonderful tribute to Susan, you have honoured her and shared her story with the world in such a sensitive but open way. Amazing!!

    I thought the idea that Susan’s body was dumped in a mineshaft was very probable. The perpetrator did seem very unconcerned about a body being found, though. It makes me wonder if he somehow completely destroyed the corpse, so that it would never be found.

    • @MygirlsGJPB
      @MygirlsGJPB 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I think he destroyed the body too. He had that saw that could cut through steel most likely he pulverized her bones with that. I think he went back to do it though I cant imagine him doing that with the kids around.

    • @kellyk5835
      @kellyk5835 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I think so too, I look at my husband (of 20years) and as much I hate him at times, I can't imagine killing him, and to do that with 2 little kids in tow, he got SO much better than he deserved

    • @maneckineckbeard1749
      @maneckineckbeard1749 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I would think that, too...except that he had so little time to completely destroy a human body. I had an acquaintance who was a mortician, who encouraged me to go to mortuary school, and even though I didn't end up doing so, one of the things I learned is that it's actually remarkably difficult to totally destroy a human body. Using any of the methods most commonly attempted by criminals, it's apparently almost impossible to 100% destroy a body, and doing so takes hours, days, or even weeks.
      This knowledge is why my own personal theory is that he disposed of her body, rather than destroying it...although, based on Josh's apparent know-it-all attitude, I do actually think it's entirely possible that he might have *attempted* to do so, but then when he realized *just* how much work it was, he did what he usually did: took the easiest, laziest way out possible. Now, I'm not sure what exact method I think he likely used, but my suspicion is that it would involve the least amount of work possible, and possibly also the help of one or more members of his creepy family.

    The biggest tragedy is that no one listened to Susan's warning on the video tape that was found in her safety deposit box. Susan clearly warned that she, her boys and whole family were at risk...that was the biggest piece of testimony as to why it was unwise that her children not be left with their father...especially when she had gone missing.

      I totally agree. She had said that one of the main reasons she stayed in the marriage is for the boys (which I totally relate).
      But yes, she was also afraid that he was capable of and would harm the boys. Granted they did not discover the safety deposit box for quite some time but once they did, if they STILL refuse to lock him up, my God!!! They should have taken those boys with ONLY supervised visits

    He was very much like my ex-husband. He was diagnosed with narcissism, but I had fibromyalgia which he( who had the money) deemed me unfit, cuz in those days FMS was not considered real. I lost everything. Visitation to my kids was so far in between and he turned them against me. Haven't seen them in 10 years. How many times I got a chill that if he wouldn't have won so well...I'd be dead today.

    • @daisyladyklg8538
      @daisyladyklg8538 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Wow, ladies. I’m sorry. My ex was never diagnosed with narcissism but I have come to realize that that’s exactly what he was. I did not lose our only one child that we had together.
      However, we had joint placement and of course, his family thought it was only because of his dad that our son turned out so well and is currently a junior in college. We had a Brady Bunch plus one situation so the older children were grown by the time we finally divorced.
      However, I did want to mention that it wasn’t until 11 years after we were married that I too was diagnosed with fibromyalgia. I believe that it’s as a result of the stress of dealing with a narcissistic spouse. Luckily I had been working for more than 3 decades, so when I applied for SSDI in 2010 (13 years into the 15 year marriage and 2 years after my diagnosis), I was approved within 4 months.
      My heart goes out to you and I pray your children come to realize how much your heart aches for them. ✌️💞✌️

    I think he poisoned her that evening he cooked for her bd her friend at the house the last day she was seen. Then josh took the boys out of the house who she would die. Went back in and told the boys they were going camping as a family and mommy was sleeping. Took her and dumped her in a mine shaft at the dinosaur place where the shiny rocks are.... as the boys stated.

      No. Woman at gas station/store enroute to "the freezing (deadly - for Susan) camping trip" clearly recalls checking out all 4 who were in store: Josh, Susan, Charlie & Braden. Unfortunately the stores cameras reset every 10 days & were unavailable to the investigators.

    I love this channel’s coverage of the Susan Cox Powell disappearance. It has been quite an interesting case. It has also gone on far too long for the Cox family. I have watched this case from the beginning. Emotional and mental abuse are very, very real. I agree 100%! I have been married for 28 years and it has been hard to go thru at times. My husband has narcissistic personality and can be very verbally and emotionally abusive. He likes to point out my faults and embarrass me in front of others. If arguing, he will definitely use my fears and worries like a weapon to turn them around and make them come true. He’s never once slapped me around or anything but sometimes his words cut deeper and the wounds never heal. Now, all these years in, he is terminally ill and needs me more than ever. He has no other family left except me and our now grown kids. I do love him and stayed in this bcuz most of the time he’s a thoughtful and loving man. He’s a good provider and husband. When he became ill like this, I knew it would be very difficult. He could no longer work and is on oxygen tanks. He doesn’t act like an ass much anymore. He acts completely different and tells me he loves me all the time. I know he does but he took a very long route to get here. I still wonder tho if he’s like this only bcuz he needs my help for real now but at the same time I did take these vows a lifetime ago. I only hope that anyone who finds themselves in an abusive situation that they can get out of it. I also had an ex who used to beat the crap out of me. Neither situ is ideal. I knew what I was getting into when we married. No one tho expects to be terminally ill at this young age. I will be here for him, take care of him and make him as comfortable as I can until the end. Just be wise and careful. Never let someone belittle you or make you feel worthless. You are not! You are loved and appreciated and needed!!

    I’m sorry but I am only @23:50 and can’t continue until I get something out here.
    First of all, I’m a little late to the game because I’m just now found your channel.
    Overall so far, I am really really impressed especially as I never realized that this was a situation with this type of abuse. So, It is only because I have myself been through a 15 year marriage with this exact kind of narcissistic abuse that I need to point something out.
    The only thing that I disagree with you so far is the comment that was made about the financial advise. I definitely understand that he would get mad if she would spend a few extra pennies for a different brand however, I do not believe that it ever got to the point where she did not feed herself in order to feed her children.
    I came to this conclusion especially because I had seen the video that she made of all of their possessions and she made a comment about how she loves Mary Kay cosmetics but if she spent too much, Josh would cut her off.
    The reason that I feel that I need to mention this is because financial abuse does NOT have to get to that point in order for it to be abuse and I want others to know that. Thanks so much for all you do ✌️💞✌️

    Just wanted to add that this case reminds me of the Chris Watts case but for the fact that Chris didn't commit suicide ( he's too much of a narcissist to do that and besides he seems to have actually thought he'd get away with it) but other than that it's eerily similar with the exception of the mistress as well which Josh as far as we know had nobody on the side. These people are so mentally messed up it's terrifying. Anyway just wanted to say that and thanks again.

    @45:55. Wow, I am thinking that that is a sure sign that you are married to a narcissist. They may work a full-time job, but you not only have to work a full-time job and bring home your share of the money, you need to do all of the cooking, the cleaning, the shopping, the laundry and possibly even mow the lawn and shovel the driveway and sidewalks 🤷‍♀️😟

    That is the woman that was living next to us at least till this last Feb. When her and her husband go restraining orders against us for taking pictures of two boys riding their quads and bike on the street out front of our property. Cora as she calls herself is the missing woman in this video.

    Susan was cheating on him. She had a whole new husband picked out. It's all in her journal that's why her parents didn't want them public.
