Back in the old days we would top it off with crushed potato chips. Remember? It added a lot of texture, not to mention a big kick of sodium. But we loved it.
I Absolutely love watching Your channel I heard about you from watching Tessi homestead, you have inspired me so much I have binged watched you for 2 days now and cant wait to try some of the baking breads and different meals I am a great grandmother and I love learning new things I am a home body and only get out when my daughter picks me up I am legally blind so I don't drive anymore and I have been down for 12 weeks with pneumonia in and out of hospital for respritory failure so I can't wait to get back on my feet so I can try all these new projects Thank You and God Bless You May The Lord Keep You Safe And Well
Quick, easy & delicious .... my kinda meal. I will be adding this to my "to make" list. Thank you for sharing. Glad to see Lexi joining you and that she is better.
Oh hard good this looks. I love recipes like this, I usually follow directions first time and then put my on twists on it. Thanks for sharing your recipes and family.❤❤❤
My brother in law doesn't like mushroom soup either. My sister puts it in the blender to hide the mushrooms in it. He loves it, even though he doesn't know it is actually mushroom.
@@brendastudnicki9334 my new husband said he didn't like cream in food. I didn't tell him I had put cream in the casserole. He was so sick that night, the only time in 34yrs I ever saw him throw-up .. .. I felt so guilty 😔😔😔
I made this tonight and it was fantastic! The only thing I did differently is I added some mushrooms I needed to use. My husband said this one's a keeper.
That looks delicious! I watched the video twice, second time writing down the recipe. This is going on my meal plan for either this week or next. Served with green beans or a side salad and...my mouth is watering and I'm watching this at 9:00 in the morning - LOL! Thanks for all you do and I'm so glad to see Lexie feeling like being in videos. I agree with the comment below - the crocheted appliques on her sleeves are so pretty. Have a blessed day Ms. Renea!
This looked really good! So quick too. Love that. These are the type of meals I like to fix anymore. I can’t stand for hours on end in the kitchen like I used to do and a meal like this makes life easy peasy! Yum! Loved the lacing on Lexi’s sleeves too, so super cute! She’s just a doll!! TFS. Renea, you are the best cook and you are so organized! I am so happy that I found a new friend. You are truly so sweet. I am excited to try this casserole. I am trying to watch a lot of your videos. Hope you are having a fantastic week.----------------Tressa Daigle

I totally agree! I do some things differently, but I watch her to learn something new and different. And as a result we have some wonderfully tasty meals that are not the same ole same ole. Thanks
It does look delicious and easy. I like when people add on suggestions to such a basic recipes. It gives me other ideas to choose from also. I am sure it is not meant to be critical.
My grandmother told me that Worcestershire sauce was pronounced wister-sheer, & that the rule of thumb for using it was 1 tablespoon per pound of meat.
That Amish casserole looks yummy! So easy too! I'll definitely try it soon. Cold weather is setting in and this dish will be perfect. Thanks so much for sharing.
This is a riff on yumasetta and it looks delicious! I have always wanted to add onion soup mix to Yumasetta and cheese! I have the stuff to make this this week. Today is my birthday and I'm sick. My caregiver was going to give me a birthday party but I have been sick since yesterday that's par for the course with me. :-)
Awe thank you, I am glad she was able to come back too... Just love her...I only have 1 son and I think she fell right out of heaven and landed in his lap. I am so happy to have her in our family....
You two are so fun to watch no stress thank you so much i have learned an awsome recipe i will have to play the video agian to follow your instructions thank you so much 38 below here in fairbanks alaska
Unless you are going to use the entire bag of shredded cheese, do not stick your hand in the bag. Even if you just washed your hands, touching the cheese causes the cheese to stick together and it quickly becomes unusable. Instead, use a pair of tongs or just a fork to pull out the cheese from the bag. I learned this many years ago and it's quite important to avoid waste.
Gloria Billings funny thing is I’ve been cooking for my family for 30 plus years and have NEVER had a bag of cheese to go bad just because I put my hand in the bag to get the amount of cheese needed out.

I call it W.Sauce
Forgive my ignorance. Do the Amish use canned goods or did you adapt for the ‘modern world’?
You are not ignorant...lol Amish eat the same as us and they will eat canned foods they do home can lots as well...
Yummy!
The salt. Thank goodness your not adding more salt.
List the recipe please !
what temp and how long to bake it for
350 degrees for about 30 minutes. Thank you Tracie.
Just curious... why is it called Amish country casserole?
That is the name of the recipe that I used from an Amish Cook Book.
I am going to use sour cream instead of milk!
👍🖒
😆
looks good, but the sodium content is through the roof!
Oh boy is it ever...But you can get the low sodium soups...Thank you.
So....
I can't IMAGINE the sodium content....with the salt, the canned soups, the onion mix, the Worcestershire sauce, cheese!
there are lower sodium alternatives....Taste just as good. Thank you Carla.
Carbs, sodium, preservatives, and calories - YUM!!
Well, this looks like it may not be best for a healthy figure.
Can you make this without the meat?
Absolutely. Thank you Joyce.
Oh my, give this channel a miss!!!!
A true Amish would never use an electric stove. They are not allowed to do that.
Well, I am not Amish ,however, the recipe is and it came from an Amish cook book...
