  • hey guys first off let me apologize the original version of this video release did not have the description not sure how it didn't get loaded,,,,
it's amazing how many mistakes people make and the things they just don't think about when they're moving to another country...
I understand it's a crazy exciting experience and people tend to think about all of the good stuff but they don't think of these small mundane things such as,,,,
    taxes bank cards insurance etc
so here's a list of my top 10 things that I would do before I even move to Thailand to protect myself financially...
here is the link to the new insurance company,,,,,

Having an extra ATM card is priceless. One guy was in Bangkok, and he had his ATM card in his back pocket. He probably sat down 1000 times with the ATM card in his back pocket, but the 1001 time he cracked his only ATM card. Dude was behind the eight ball. He had to Western Union himself some money and wait for his bank to send him another ATM card. This Is some great advice. THANKS!!!!

As long as you have your debit card 16 digits, pin #, and security code Thai banks will let you withdraw $$ if you walk in and speak with a banker. If you lose your debit card you can still go to a bank and withdraw $$ with your credit card by doing a credit card advance.

This actually happened to me but what happened was I got this weird and this is going to sound hilarious considering I'm in Thailand but I got this weird bump on my card....

My two cents on retirements visas; for your first one go with a reputable agent to walk you through the steps. Mine cost about 33000 baht but it went through with no problems and much less stress for me. Next year it should only be 1900 baht plus some paperwork.

Thats my plan for the Philippines. The first time i show up i have too many things to focus on to have it ruined because of a missed page or typo. Once I'm there I'll take the time to do it myself because things like finding an apartment are already done.

    • @brucesnyder690

Again I understand why some people would want to use an agent to get their visas but man you're paying over 17X what you should be....
I'm going to repeat that because that bears repeating......
17 TIMES WHAT YOU SHOULD BE PAYING......
I guess the way I look at it is if you're coming here and you fully understand how important the Visa situation is I think that is something that I would want to research so that I fully understand it...
Again some of the people that I've seen who have successfully gone through the process completely by themselves you would be surprised at these people can even turn their computers on....
      Lol
And believe me I'm the dumbest guy you're ever going to meet so I'm not making fun of these guys I'm just telling you the truth about how easy it is to do it yourself......

      @whyhellotherewithdrmarksabean  16 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      Hey Funkbringer,,,, brother I know
I have been trying to sort out the mic situation and the production issues...
Here's the trouble to be honest with you....
I have tried about 5 different mics....
This video was recorded using a Beats Studio Plus headset....
That's how discouraged I am at finding the right mic
Also please keep in mind that a lot of these vlogs I'm talking about stuff that I can't really do outside,,,,, so I do end up doing them here in my office and then adding the screen obviously....
So it does have that tinny sound because of the concrete walls...
But also I think there's something going on in the app that I'm using to create the video itself...
Because again as you said some of it sounds fantastic and then other parts not so,,,,
I'm trying to find the right set up
      Here's the worst part okay,,,,,,
To make a video like this I know it's about 30 minutes long but it takes me about four or five hours to record the actual sections...
Some of these I do hundreds of takes and you'll get one take that you really like but maybe the sound isn't perfect......
But you don't want to redo it because you know you won't get the same take again.....
So please if you can bear with me I'm trying my hardest to sort out the audio I thought this one was actually pretty good but now that I've listened to it on a friend's iPhone there is one or two spots that is not the greatest....
Only enough on my Samsung it sounds fantastic and it sounds great on my Huawei....
      Hmmmmm
      Lol
      Again mate I'm trying here......
Thanks for pointing it out I appreciate the help mate 🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻

Very nice and informing video. At least this time i can say everything is already on my list for the future. :D You highlighted the point well, know the value of your money and how mutch you are spending!
The Pringels situation,.. my thoughts would be that they are prob. Produced in Asia for that Marked and Heat went up year after year so potato production needs more Water in that region. And Water is in itself already a rare good at some places. So inflation + rising production cost´s would be my guess.
I do have a Question that is quite fitting to the headline. My plan is atm to write ~6+ real estate agents arround ~7 month before i start my retirement. Tell them what i want, when i plan to arrive and ask for meetings in the first weeks of my stay to make a long-term-rent for 1+ year. As i do want to see what i rent for sure. And arriving there with a condo for 1 month at the start of the low season. So arriving end of March and starting long term rent April-Mai!
You think that this is a good way to go into that or would you or other readers suggest a different route for the long-term rent property process?
Thx for the video and keep up the good work!

      @whyhellotherewithdrmarksabean  16 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

Yeah the Pringles thing really threw me for a loop to be honest with you
      Oh well!!!!
Lesson one of the problems is finding a real estate agent here that's even going to respond to you....
If you watch my video that I did about the $500 pool Villa that I released last week that agent there he will respond to you he has places that are available and if he doesn't have what you're looking for he'll help you find it....
I'll be completely honest with you as a former realtor I'm blown away by how lazy the agents here on the island are it's hilarious....
I can also put you in touch with another agent if you would like to reach out to me through Facebook Messenger....

Crypto is useless in real life. By the time you buy crypto in your currency and then cash it out into local currency in Thailand or elsewhere - you will lose like 20% on exchange fees and commission; plus you are risking getting scammed by all sorts of crypto gangsters.
