I don't think anyone can appreciate how Knofler has impacted the world of guitar. He created his own sound by playing fingerstyle - which is particularly difficult on electric guitar, creating so much sound, very unique. Chet Atkins and Merle Travis also fingerpicked - but used their thumb to create primary a bass line to their fingers - Knofler claws, sometimes playing bass line with his thumb - sometime not. He's so good, so unique - he makes it look easy. He's a true pioneer and probably won't be emulated for a very long time.

Star power aside and there is a shining universe of talent here, the best of all play as a team- they play together, weaving in, out and across, each manning their position with precision. Here we have Knopfler, known yet still underrated, I feel and such may also apply to so many. It is the age of clicks and modern classics, only time will tell. These players, are already proven. A powerhouse band hitting its Mark's. Quiet and unassuming personalities- and not once do they say their own names in the song, which so many seem to have to do EVERY song. In the age of self promotion and algorithm methods, this is a self fulfilling classic. ... and I love it!!! Thanks for posting!!!
