You might think he licks windows, but in the end, it is free content, free ideas, more information for new players... motivation to do more...everyone wins to some degree.

I like them a lot, but as a melee dps, the black dragon should be fixed. When it spawns its green balls, they overlap in melee range and one shot you no matter what, and there's no warning beforehand, that's my only issue with it
As a 73k IL Rogue, I find the dragons to be pretty fun and the armor grind just at the threshold where it's doable and not overly repetitive. I think this is a very big step into the right direction of updated content that Neverwinter was looking for. The only real issue that I have with the Dragons as a Rogue, and maybe everyone else can agree, those hit boxes need to be adjusted. I cannot count how many time's i've been hit by nothing only for the ability to come out seconds after I've been hit. But all in all, this is some pretty fun content

Yeah this system is way better then say the avernus hunts i mean grindy yes but as you said you play a MMO, all MMOs are grindy plus fact with enough time you can get everything you want yeah nightspine can do one these Hunts are what the game was lacking now here hoping mod 24 will add more to sink our teeth into in a sense i mean game needs content to stay alive anyone who says it doesnt is well you said it in your intro slurp slurp lol
TL:dr the dragon hunts are top tier design, fun, coded well, love'em. They expose the players who rushed to end game not learning their class.
love the dragon hunts, I said the one mechanic where the dragons grab you in their mouth was annoying but now meh, even as a rogue if I get aggro I deal with that mechanic well, and I think it's good, it forces the tank to play it's class well and tank, try to keep aggro. These dragons are very very well coded, every fight feels fresh/new and not repetitive or predicable, the team that worked on these done great, for me the most fun I've had in neverwinter in a very long time. The ancient dragons for me are perfectly balanced, sometimes they kick my ass sometimes I kick their ass, even the black dragon. I hope the Devs don't listen to those complaining they are too hard, they're not. I'm a 60k WK and have killed nearly 100 dragons(all ancient since unlocking them), and if I can beat them with my squishy toon then they can't be too op. Although I have seen many item lvl 70k+ die over and over and it's clear they're the players who rushed to end game because they can't avoid any of the attacks at all and go down constantly, these dragons exposed those who never put the time in to learn their class. Overall the dragons are great, I'd ask if they can improve the dragons even more, don't know how but they're so much fun I can imagine if they add more mechanics to them.
I like how challenging they are and also would also agree with the name theory because I've experienced something similar and it makes sense. Lol also I get angry with them too and call them names 🤣

8/10 the new hunt system and mod...some bugs,as usually, but overall more fun, doable with some skill and patience (same grind but this is the game 🤗) significant less RnG, loot values from dungeons chests seems to drops even better, I enter in random queues even faster, I think some welcomed little signs of improvement, I'm having some challenging fun 👍.. Just now I've come with this silly idea: when a global timer strike (once in half hour or so) throughout all the instances a message from 'El Mister' 😅 (or whatever Smerdiuk e co, :p) tell all the players are called to a specific zone cause a fearsome ancient chromatic dragon has landed to threaten and ravage the land...you imagine the epicness of a full instance of 30/40 ppl that go beat up the beast, like in WoD? Same new hunts mechanics maybe empowered winged monstrosity to face 😱: but no group required no queue no roles, no modifiers to select for increase drops, instead the handicap mods effects are random activated automatically for every toon participating (as a normal dragon hunt)...this way ALL players, also the 20k that probably have no possibility to find an hunt farm group and succeed, can have the chance to kill e drop something (and advance the free rewards campaign for slaying daily dragon and hunter rank until 100) but with veeryy LOW rate some reagents for new bis gear, that maybe (after MONTHS of this random ancient event) along with natural time-improvement of their characters, could help finally manage and get some interesting piece ...This manner by the time of accomplishment, the gear probably won't be still fashion ones and Endgamers will be farming something else, having done their Élite Dragon Hunts run smoothly and fast and avoid to enrages and blame cause 'little ones' could get BIS basically with no serious onerous investment of resources and slowing down the mission(but you think realistically a fresh player will succeed early on this?) . The balance in the Force will be preserved, all players could still get some benefit I don't see bothering?
PS: hope unique fashion items and weap/armor illusions start dropping frequently from other sources and chests, instead of seeking them only on AH.

This is good. I like this mod for same reasons you outlined. You know which one you have when you get in there but the randomness of the attacks is a good thing. As for the names of them I swear they got alphabet soup and spat it out and whatever letters came out...yeah that's what they named them. Almost as bad as primal/masterwork weapons back in the day🤣🤣 we need more content like this. The formula is working, let's hope they don't go back to the same old shit we were getting!

I think the dragons themselves are pretty good, NOW there are a couple attacks that are unavoidable and that to me is kinda lame but tolerable..... now the bad news, this is what they gave us as a "mod".... barovia had 5x the contents AND hunts on release so I dislike when they slap a "mod" sticker on this and call it a day... its like the dragons were a gift and they put it in a brown paper bag aka the nipple on the side of PE..... just feels lazy. Round 2 of dislikes comes in the form of the obvious gutting of AD instead of increasing access to it, they keep doing everything they can in this game to remove the ability to gain AD, and as a personal feeling, I hate that.

I LOVE the dragons.. Especially the parts where I can actually see me in their mouth right before they fling me into the air, Or how i looked mashed into the ground when they stomp on me LOL.. As a Tank I know i could dance better with them, but as you said have to learn mechanics and still working on that. The ancient dragons are worth it with the Modifiers. I love looking at the different lairs. I mean its a grind, but a FUN one..LOL.
100% agree, these dragons are the most fun I have had in Neverwinter. My only complaint is the length of time the PUG queue is for ancients, nearly an hour at times, adults I can get instant gratification, but I need those ridges. But that's on me for not having a posse to run them with. Think my main limitation on how many I can run is the number of heal potions I can craft in a day, I don't like to make extra work for the healer, because if he lets the tank go down, the dragon will come after me and I taste good with ketchup. In any case, even with PUGs, success rate is 75% or more, so no complaints as to difficulty. Being able to fail easily but usually succeeding means good content. Running with mods on has resulted in some nice rewards too, 28 plates and a dozen webbing from one run was a nice contribution to my future gear. Rotating chaos kicking in when I just lined up in combat advantage makes me swear, as does getting knocked back just as I am hitting the artifact+mount power combo move and ending up out of range.
i have only done 6 dragons on adult. very easy. even did 1 with dps and me as tank.
cant wait to do 9 more to start real dragons[ancient]. my biggest complaint is the knockback knockdown and being sent flying across the map is annoying lmao.
first time i got eaten was a shock. but this is fun content and i am enjoying it.
Dragon is Fun enough for me..
and for a returning player its kinda thing that can catchup with everyone...like the items it self ..it helps alot for anyone who dont have a BIS or better item to play HC mode.
Its superr good cryptic release this...and what fair is.. the item is not that crazy strong.. so the time spend farming dificulty and the item power is just so balance.
Did my first Ancient hunts today. Not as difficult as I thought they would be, but still challenging. Found the Reds to be the most challenging, although we did them with no Tank. We had a great time, am looking forward to more tomorrow.
I must say, I wasn’t looking forward to the hunts, but man, they are fun, annoying some times and I do think dragons knock back is a bit op, and black dragon aoe is out of control lol the only thing I would say, I’d rather have a seperate dragon hunt store, rather than a campaign store. As a campaign store, it makes the hunts a limited time thing, give it a month and the masses won’t be running hunts as they will all have they’re gear. A seperate store like the reaper store would have made the hunts relevant for longer as new items could be put into the store.
I'm enjoying the dragons so far I like the idea about the different named dragons having different abilities explains why last week I felt comfortable tanking and now this week I'm getting absolutely shafted with attacks over and over spending more time stunned and on my arse than anything else only main thing that annoys me at the minute is the constant being eaten got eaten 3 times in a row yesterday and it's impossible to block and even if your to the left or right of the dragons head he can still get you in his mouth and stun you then spit you out and u always land in a pool of aoe the dragons are chaotic as fuck as they are fast and they don't stop attacking and like you said they love to knock you around like a rag doll and the new design of the dragons looks a bit more horror vibe than fantasy so far I'm loving the dragons I've got a mythic helmet so far but will get 2 more mythic pieces this week
dr hunts has been great this week in already at 102 rank and now farming ridges to buy the acc,ca chest and defender strike wrist for this week for my dps build
i have been playing as barb tank 55.9k IL with dragon ward overload and some potions
i used death and ferocity r3 to farm the agro rings and now using all 3 r3 hard mods to farm mythic
ppl really should take advantage of the IL cap i have seen a 55k warlock do more dmg than a 70k warlock ans wiz but boa users can still do 3 times more dmg
average run time has been 7-13min depending on mods and dr
102? I was curious about the ranks if they go above 100. apparently they do so thank you for that! i wonder if they cap or it's unlimited rank yah my runs depending on the groups are from 6 to 11 12 minutes, i tend to run wityh wheover is available and dont pick and chose the best players.
@@GalacticUnderwear ya sry about that i checked i was 102 on dr hunted my rank was 98 so needed to kill more ancient after that it hit 100 on both and wont increase anymore
Im 47k il and im only doing adult right now, if i even managed to get just 1 of those my mythic gear im good.
I agree with you. They are hard, just as they should be. I mainly tank them, and that black dragon is a pig. But they are great fun.
Love the video and learning the new Greek curse words. Got to expand my vocab. My favorite part is as a tank i get bitten then the animation turns away then i get shot out from what looks like the dragons back side.... hilarious! Great content as usual.
I find it fun and rewarding when playing dps, but playing healer is very unrewarding. The perma cc prevents from healing your allies, and since most groups use chaotic rotation, when you're unable to use encounter powers the fight becomes very hard as a cleric, especially if it was the time to recast healing word. I haven't tested on my tank barb yet, but from what I understand it's not fun either, as the strongest attack is also unblockable (the bite)
So, fun for dps, harder on the other roles which already have it bad enough... Well, at least the gear is great, I'm still unsure if the new ribcage is better than the 12% crit chance torso but I don't have enough to buy it in all cases. Also wondering what are the best bracers (or gloves, idk) for clerics
well , you can just choose to not run this modifier bro , a lot of groups dont run chaotic anymore
Yep rotating chaos is brutal on cleric. Can't do sh*t! Lol, then ppl wonder why they're not getting heals 😂

Just came back from a 2 year break. Main a TR but had every class endgame then.
Had a week and a half before this mod dropped to get gear. Alli got was horns, wrist guards of precipitation (which some ppl call participation for some reason) and the vos at will ring
No ribcage, no boa, not even close.
I'm an exp player, and I would beat some ppl with those. But other ppl who know their class beat me by double. But that's what I like about the dragons. There's skill involved, knowing your class and the dragon can mean someone with less than optimal gear can beat someone with bis gear.
It was hard getting in groups even in alliance. I actually had to go to zone and even pub Q. But got a few good runs here and there in alliance. Mostly though I was ignored because of my gear.
I still have a couple friends that play so we were all on Monday night, got a group and ran over 40 dragons in a about 4 hours. Back to back. Got new updated ribcage and new goristro horns. Then got a ring from reg dragon tab just to help for now
But I think this mod is fun. Yes there's no new zones, the dragons piss you off, and it can be tough to get runs if you are undergeared. But I've ran about 120 dragons in a week. (More actually because my cleric is doing adults trying to unlock ancient) but I'm still not tired of running them. I bought 2 more loadouts during the sale and try different things. I switch and compare.
I can definitely see how others my find it too difficult tho. You have to have a good team and a stack of scrolls and stones
Well, prepare for the ancient black dragon. THIS dragon is a dick: Lots of knockbacks, undefensable bites, trillions of poison balls that fills almost all the arena, flips, huge aoe attacks etc...
BTW, this is something this game needed.

Ha! I'm having a field day with these dragons as well. A ton of fun! I've also discovered a whole new Gamer rage vocabulary while playing! However I really want a flying achievement as much time as I spent on my rogue getting tossed all over the place!
As to the dragons, I noticed the same dragon having different names as well along with some of them being bigger smack talkers! I do wish you could see what other modifiers are being picked after I pick mine though before it's final. Often it shows 2 selected and then there are 3 when it's finalized.

They're quite fun and I'm enjoying them, although a minor adjustment to the queing of the abilities would be swell. It may be bugged as you said but if it's not bugged then ancient black dragons shouldn't be able to chain fear/knock up you while firing balls of death at you which you have to avoid or die and which don't have any kind of animation to tell you it's about to happen. Other than that good job to Cryptic on putting in something different and fun

I tried neverwinter over the years, and i find it difficult to get used to the game , or to reach max level and to do stuff with other people..
I play wow for 17 years now , and i maybe look like a fanboi.
But no i think i played every MMO that existed in the last 17 years. But i just can't get the hang on of some.
If i see this content from killing dragons or dungeons with other people i think like WAAUW GIMMEGIMME looks alot of fun , i wanna do that stuff.
But i just don't have the time or the dedication anymore to grind everything out and level it out to get to max level.
And definitly not alone.
If you can tell me any way i could try to do content like you did in this movie , or if i could even do some content with you please let me know =)

My tank has helm, chest, arms, and two rings. I'm now and 80k tank and run with players as low 30k. The key to success is a good healer.
If the tank Is capable to not lose the aggro, then yes.... otherwise healer is dead xd
Except when the dragon bites and kills you and wout a times heal if you had your shield up you cannot use your scroll. Team wipe. Got to be a bug.

Im only on the Adult tier yet (got back for a month, to test it for a bit, and I like the Dragon hunts) I already see People struggling with it, and im swapping powers and builds to check if I can do them without the issues im having, with mobility and survivability, etc.
Seems like for once, Craptic did a good job on content 😂 kudos for that. 😂

I think the length of time it takes to down one w a pick up team does not equate to the amount of dragon parts received. For example .... 1 dragon claw for an adult dragon and I need 170 of them? Bad grind investment. Ancients are better but to spend a large amount of grind to get a pick up group that fails due to weak healing or dps makes it irritating. ALSO... fix the bug that doesnt let the tank use a scroll when he is bit while holding his shield.

Most of them feel pretty easy and ofc hard ones will be hard. Game is much alive and active than before, something which i like a lot. Getting groups are pretty easy sometimes public groups are a little but hard anyways i just do it. I like to help players a lot.
So far no complains except some hitboxes are buggy specially black dragon, i tend to bug in his hitbox a lot and i cant move anywhere except his Hitbox circle so we sometimes gotta reset the whole run
So far so good no complains its a 10/10

Agree. They hit this out of the park. Now that I hit 100 on two different toons. I think that maybe should have made it a little longer? Maybe double the amount? And like 3 different sets of every set? The way they look that is.

I am actually enjoying the dragons. I havent done much ancients still working on my first 50. I am a warlock IL78 depending on the gear I am wearing. I dont think the dragons are too hard. I have 2 wipes. One was pug and one was an All run (I didnt check out my teammates before I picked my mods). I am currently grinding to get the ancient dragon parts.

Personally I hate them, but more power to you. The single player ones were not so bad, but I've tried the 3 player one a few times and it's absolute cancer, first time I died in 15s and released and got ported to the campfire with no way to get back into the hunt. 2nd time i decided to go as healer, 20mins and several deaths by my party members later it was over and I came to the conclusion I was finished with this content.
It's annoying and makes me angry but i still thinks its great tbh
