- In recent years, Audi has done an increasingly better job at merging luxury, high tech and sportiness equally into all of their vehicles, but that doesn’t mean they all have the same priorities. So, if you’re wondering what this car is all about… well, it’s right there in the name, the Audi RS 7 Performance! #Audi #AudiRS7 #RS7

John’s dulcet tones takes me back to my childhood watching MotorWeek on Sunday mornings while eating Sugar Smacks.
Dulcet?
Long live the V8
@@neofx22 awesome
We've so blessed to still hear his silky car review delivery, all these decades later!
Yep, John is the best at MotorWeek. 100% legendary
The one and only John Davis. Enough said!!
It's a track beast for sure. Previous versions, imo looked sleeker though.
Agreed, especially the C6-C7
John delivers once again))))
Its a beautiful and fast car, but they have it nail down that suspension. That front end looked like it wanted to wheelie.
John delivers once again. 🇺🇸👍💪❤️
Beautiful engineering and sound
This mustve been the air sprung option. The fixed suspension option is stiffer and more geared towards spirited driving.
You can see that in the first video, crazy body roll
One of the best looking cars..full stop 🛑
Always loved the A7, even when I sold BMW's something about this car was admirable. Even the e class benz. This is something you trade in for a M8GC after you get tired of the body roll and fwd experience.
The m8 looks weird though, just an odd body shape
Audi, please don't ever abandon ICE cars!
Stunningly fast daily driver!
I'm glad Audi is keeping the V8 around for these cars for the time being. I'm not huge on the big grille & touch screen climate controls but its by-far not the worst in the industry. Still a sharp car, especially with the blue metallic paint and silver wheels. John David is the GOAT!
Really nice start ship,,,,,,,,,
Man's voice literally hasn't changed an ounce
2024 Lottery Win Rides are Land Rover Defender 110 V8, Ford Mustang GT & This. I Can Dream, Can't I? (smile)
JOHN!!!
I remember when the old 420 hp S7 used to also hit 0-60 in 3.7 seconds 😐😐. Now 200 hp later same results I suppose
Most likely due to increased weight. Modern cars have much more safety equipment mandated by regulations that make cars heavier and more expensive 💪🏿🇺🇸🔥🇺🇸🔥🇺🇸🔥👍🏿
@@dabro1569 I'm talking about a car that's around 10 years old now when I say old S7. It's plenty modern.
@@ch6inre6ction11 In terms of performance in the auto industry 10 years is a lifetime. Cars have gotten a lot heavier in the last decade. It’s unusual to have a sports car nowadays under 3500 lbs. Plus, Motor Week isn’t known for getting the best 0-60 and quarter mile times though 💪🏿🇺🇸🔥🇺🇸🔥🇺🇸🔥👍🏿
This is the slowest acceleration figure I’ve seen for a performance version of the C8 RS6/7, I have seen 3.0 seconds for 0 - 62 a couple of times but I think you could expect this performance for this car all day every day, not just on the ideal days..
uk did 3.2s and they didn't have so much body roll even with air suspension instead of DRC one. So us must had very poor equipment for this.
What’s going on with the front end lift on acceleration? Is the suspension soft?
But I'll bet the cold ambient air temps boosted (pun intended) performance that canceled the lack of grip 2:29
It’s ashame you can’t get CCB’s any more.
They were suppose to be standard on this model.
Also save 30k and buy a year old certified one and do a basic Apr tune and be much faster .
Looking how much it have body roll I know that it doesn't have DRC suspension.
This RS means “Really Sexy”!
I have the A7 an dlove it. This one with that much power, is even better. That is a lot of dough for a car though. But it is a beauty.
So this is where the Honda Accord designers been getting their inspiration from.. . Audi. Last generation as well somewhat
Yeah but they did a very poor imitation.
@@drivescene6747 lol 😆
They're hiring!
I'll take the RS6 AVANT Performance please !!!!!! Thank you! 🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁
crazy how the front end lift on accel lmao
Great looking car, sterling performance...and guaranteed to drain your wallet, at the gas pumps and in the service bays at the dealer!
These cars are not selling. To expensive. Plenty of old generation ones for sale. You don’t even see these cars on the road. Not to mention the maintenance cost for these is out the door. Audi doesn’t even have a good warranty for these cars. SMH…..
It's sad how car manufacturers would rather sell a few overpriced models rather than have more sold at an affordable price. That car costs more than my house. Car prices have gotten out of control. Daily driver car's should not cost more than a house.
To be fair, this isn't any run-of-the-mill "daily driver." It's a super-performance 600hp beast.
I agree. Trust me, these are not selling at all. I have had my eye on one and it’s been at the dealership for almost a year.
Buy a Miata.
The original has better stats than the sequel. 2016 RS7 tested by Motorweek was faster and got quite a bit better gas mileage.
It’s due to the massive weight of this new one.
Had a 18 Rs7 loved the car and styling. These just aren't as good looking imo and aren't fast anymore unless it's tuned.
2+ tons bodyweight, copious roll through corners, rearend squat + nosedive, auto slushbox, all wheel drive terminal understeer. yeah, some "track beast." give me a break!
DREAM CAR but MAN has Audi gone seriously cheap on the few choices of paint colors and interior color schemes.
Plenty of plasticware sitting deep in the V of that engine, surely going to cost $6k to fix the moment the warranty runs out.
Motorweek your videos are too grainy...please up your resolution quality to 4k... standard rez doesn't look good at all ...what is the problem?
It's available in 1080p. That's just fine.
I am also showing a 1080p option. That is plenty, no?
We are a television show. Television broadcasts in 1080. Therefore we shoot a majority of our content in 1080.
Just never really got into the 4-door “coupe” look. I would much prefer the Saloon look of an RS6 Performance.
They can call it a coupe all they want. 4 doors is a sedan.
Funny, this model has TWO HUNDRED AND ONE horsepower MORE than the 2013 S7 and only manages half a second quicker to 60 and quarter mile times. They both squat the same on launch. What’s ten years of complexity and advancement get you!?
With all that suspension travel and body roll it starting to look like a Lexus.
friend has a 14 rs7 hits 60 in 3.3 video is posted of the car going 175
That's nice Volkswagen
what Volkswagen use the platform if this car?
@TheEryk03 lol none , still a Volkswagen product at the end if the day 😂
@@c101rex so maybe some VW have the same 4.0 TFSi engine?
Its not anywhere close of being a volkswagen ,no vw car uses a 4.0 tfsi v8@c101rex
Wow, $129k car with a Camry TRD suspension. Smh, even in Sport+ it leans, body roll & brake dive. Come on Audi we can do better then that. But i still like this car though... Long live RS7!!
Literally no faster than it was when the first RS7 came out
U couldn't be any more wrong, check specs again
Yeah, because 3.7 seconds to 60 is not fast enough.
@@againwthis nope, 3.7 to 60 in 2015 and 2024
@@jb40now47 got a MXP so it would be nice to see some improvements over the last 9 years
yeah in other tests it is much quicker.
6 figures today, 2 figures tomorrow 🤣
How do you get such awful acceleration numbers Motor Week? 3.7 is nearly a second slower than most non performance package RS7’s get. And 40 degrees is plenty warm for a heavy AWD sedan to hook up perfectly and take advantage of the cold dense air benefits, so not buying that excuse
I didn't get that either
I think they know how to launch, been doing it for decades
@@Armeeno_Collectibles maybe they’ve been getting slow times for decades….ever think about that? Also, Max Balotin was doing it for decades for them….now it’s a new person who clearly doesn’t have the driving skills to extract the optimal numbers that he did. Fact is they knew their times were off or they wouldn’t have mentioned it and they’re excuse was cold temps 🤦🏻♂️
How much does this thing weigh>???????? Jeebus
621 vs 382 for the Supra and they're about the same speed
BOAT
Lol supra is a two seat sports coupe. This is a four-door family sedan. You're comparing apples to oranges.
3.7 to 60?? omg that is soo slow!!
Wrong,it's 3.0 sec to 60
@@chrism869 How am I wrong?? I'm going by what the video says at 2:16.
@SportsMusicCars Germans always lie about 0 to 60,it's always way faster than what it says on paper, this is more in the 2.9 -2.7 sec 0 to 60
I have this car and have done some 0-60 runs using the draggy. Without launch contol I get 3.6-3.8. With launch control it's 3.1-3.3. Have to use the launch control to get the boost built up faster.
@@jimgall3036 Launch control does help get the revs/boost up for quicker accel., I have seen that on other cars as well.
It's ok nothing special tho
And 20 k Miles later , clutch failure
?? it has a torque converter automatic
would rather get a porsche
Nobody asked
AMG v12 for me🎉 the unstoppable
" fright" train 😮
Wow. That ugly and bloated Panamera. Being a Porsche, I’m sure the interior is beautiful and the driving dynamics are excellent. But it’s not pretty to look at. The RS7 exterior isn’t exactly gorgeous either but it does look better than the Panamera. Of course, that’s my opinion. If I had the money, I’d probably choose the Audi RS6 Avant.
Daaaaammmmn
Nobody cares!! Get what u like
Looks like a Honda Accord
Um…ok.
um... no
Great car, but can't the moderator even speak normally?
You mean the presenter/host? What conflict is he moderating? Moderator 😅.
So much understeer
Hmmm my wife’s grocery getter does 3.5s 0-60, 11.8s quarter mile (Telsa Model Y Performance). Loved it so much I sold my 2004 C5 RS6 for a new model S long range. Not surprised at all to see Audi still “following” Tesla. Couldn’t be happier. Bye bye Audi service centre! 👋👋
