I've been trying to install a copy of Windows 7 for the past 48 hours and hit just about every roadblock that can come along with doing this. Me too! After trying to just copy the whole HDD to SSD and it wouldn't boot, I made a USB key and cleared the SSD. This video did the trick and hopefully my SSD will run windows now!

If GPT doesn't work then go back into disc part and select disk zero and say convert MBR and it should convert to an MBR disk that's should fix your problem

Formatting your hardrive is to delete everything it usually warns you if your gonna format a flash drive it says you'll lose all important data and to make sure nothing important is on it as far as I know you can't get anything back

Perfect video, thank you so much. My old hard drive has a corrupted sector and I had tried to copy the partitions on it to my new hard drive and it wouldn't work because of corrupted files. Those partitions we're still on that hard drive and there was no way for me to clean up those partitions except through command prompts that I didn't know. You helped a ton!
