I've been a Mac user since the 90's. A co-worker gave me an old PC with a completely wiped hard drive. I've been trying to install a copy of Windows 7 for the past 48 hours and hit just about every roadblock that can come along with doing this. Me too! After trying to just copy the whole HDD to SSD and it wouldn't boot, I made a USB key and cleared the SSD. This video did the trick and hopefully my SSD will run windows now!

If GPT doesn't work then go back into disc part and select disk zero and say convert MBR and it should convert to an MBR disk that's should fix your problem

But there is a software called rescue it might be helpfull to you
Formatting your hardrive is to delete everything it usually warns you if your gonna format a flash drive it says you'll lose all important data and to make sure nothing important is on it as far as I know you can't get anything back

Perfect video, thank you so much. My old hard drive has a corrupted sector and I had tried to copy the partitions on it to my new hard drive and it wouldn't work because of corrupted files. Those partitions we're still on that hard drive and there was no way for me to clean up those partitions except through command prompts that I didn't know. You helped a ton!

Some folks might not do it after this opoeration, i did only after i pressed refresh disk , so good luck ! Do not forget in the last part when you select disk for instalation, hit refresh before.
I followed ur tutorial step by step and now me computer cant find my usb, u helped me to delete my usb ty
The error says the disk is already GPT and windows cannot install to a GPT partition so what are you talking about converting to GPT. If disk is > 2TB and a GPT has been defined you get this message.And is not formated to anything yet???
