  • TSA doesn’t want to prevent you from traveling with your firearms, they just ask that you follow a few simple safety steps.

    This is BAD advice and incomplete information. If you go on Delta, they will check this very box in this video and open the latch on the end without a lock. When it opens a little, they will stick their fingers/hand through and pull the gun out proving this is not a Delta-approved case. Save yourself a lot of time and DO NOT follow this advice. Get yourself a case with a lock hole on both ends. Make sure the loop of the lock is short so when you lock it and try to open it, no one can stick their finger through. If it opens AT ALL Delta will not approve it! Be ware!!!

      It's not power tripping - it's a communication problem. It's almost always because the airline staff isn't properly briefed about the whole chain of custody and the cases end up in TSA's hands without the key and no instructions. Ironically, Austin is known for screwing the process up more than almost any other airport.

      Federal interstate transportation of firearms law overrules any state law.
      I had an airport cop try to threaten me with arrest in Albany, NY for my declaring a handgun. The cop was tripping on power.
      I explained I was originating from MA (which I had a LTC there) and I didn’t stay in NY. It was a 2.5 hour drive to get to ALB airport from MA. There’s no reason to stop in NY. I dropped this law on him and said that if he feels so strongly about this, maybe he should call the ATF while he’s at it?
      The cop immediately shifted gears and started acting like he was doing me a favor by the demanding in that I say, “I’m going hunting in Vermont” like it’s some password or brainwashing technique that he never threatened an illegal arrest. Ok, whatever makes him sleep better at night knowing that the feds (the real feds - not TSA) would not come knocking to ask wtf he was doing in impending a lawful citizen. lol
      A lot of sheep people think my situation should wait for court and allow myself to be arrested. Fuck that noise. If threat of illegal arrest is on the table, threaten back with equal or greater authority. Ironically, the ATF is a magic word in this situation.

    Judging from what I am reading here the TSA policy on traveling with firearms is a mess. Also, each airline has subtle nuances in firearms checked in procedures. It happened to gun-tuber Carrytrainer. He spent an entire episode telling his viewers how his prized rifles and pistols were lost by TSA and had it not for his connections with government officials and going through back channels he would not have gotten his firearms back. And the firearms were manhandled and locks were broken even though he provided TSA the keys. It seems like you’re taking a gamble each time you fly and travel with your firearms. It’s more trouble than its worth.

  • @RonnieSmith-wf1ux
    @RonnieSmith-wf1ux 5 วันที่ผ่านมา

    Make sure you know the gun laws where you are traveling. If they have mag caps or any restrictions. People who did all their paperwork and dotted their eyes and crossed their Ts still get arrested. One lady had a 10 round mag with 7 rds in it if I'm not mistaken, and the state or city she traveled to only allowed 7 rds mags. She was arrested as she went to board her return flight. She had her kid with her too. Look it up, it happens. It was a suspicious set of circumstances. Cover your butt and know the laws.

  • @Sarge92
    @Sarge92 17 วันที่ผ่านมา

    the TSA dont know JACK SHIT about traveling with fireamrs you have no idea how many tsa agents have comitted felonies in regards to this
    a favorite of the TSA is to cut the locks off a TAGGED luggage that has already been inspected and cleared then mess with the contents then send it on its way
    UNLOCKED
    its a felony to ever unlock a firearms luggage without the owner present because the firearm must remain in the owners control under lock and key from the moment it touches the baggage belt till the owner personally takes ownership of it again on the other side
    if TSA wants to look in there again they must go call for the owner and have them personally unlock the case and then they may inspect the case whilst the owner watches

    yeh this lock makes it completely safe, there is no option to open this case, only if you use a lighter or something els to male to plastic hat, and therefore less resistant against force

    So you can travel with firearm but they limit the amount of liquids you can carry on the plane. What a joke.

      @@davidhodge0201 Sometime back the FBI stopped a liquid bomb plot. That's the only reason I can think of that would've sparked that kind of rule.

      @cdcopper3438 lol. No I was asking op, why is that a joke. I know why you can't carry but a finite amount of liquid. There shouldn't be any issues with carrying a gun on a plane.
      Edit. To add to that statement, "carry a gun on a plane the legal way"

      The firearm has to be checked under the plane. You can have as much liquid as you want as long as it’s checked and under the plane…smh
