- Stormy Turbo Flaring session on my Flare Moustache 15m at Kings Beach, QLD, Australia.
Kings Beach is 45 mins from my house and this day was the first day I flew it. I’ve looked at it a few times but never thought much of it. Not the best site in the world, but damn it has some cool features.
It was a rough and stormy day, weather wise, and my in my head. So I headed out chasing wind. Nothing clears the mind more than a turbo session in 25 knots, I find it very special.
Wing - Flare Moustache 15
Wind - 20-25 knots
TOW - 78 kg
Ridge height - 5 metres

I’m not sure, last time I spoke to him he was living in Italy. I also heard he was flying a Moustache, but maybe that was Chinese whispers 🙂

Best way to reset! Paraglider myself and it’s just magic. How would you describe the Moustache, they seem to fly so differently?
For sure mate.
The Moustache is quite different to an older style wing. You can control a lot more. You can choose to go down and stay down. The wing builds and holds energy that you can choose when to use. It has depower like a kite, so you can fly in stronger conditions, and get in and out of places you normally couldn’t.
