To everyone out there and I can not stress this enough NEVER NEVER pull on the side of a road unless a real emergency. You have no idea how many vehicles get hit including cop cars with lights flashing. Find an exit and then a safe place to pull over. Great advice on the extra fuses especially the odd ones.
Yep. Driver totalled my car on the shoulder even with the hazards flashing. It was rainy, and they just got a little confused and thought my car was in a driving lane. I love Vancity, but this wasn’t an emergency, definitely could have waited til the next exit.
I drive truck and I totally agree. We don't always have the ability to move our rigs into another lane to avoid getting too close to you. And PLEASE don't leave your driver's side door open! It's definitely better to pull off the highway when possible during non-emergencies. I LOVE watching this channel. It's so addictive!
As former LEO I can tell you that people tend to steer where they are looking. If you are the attraction on the side of the road, they will take you out. I have seen state troop units get taken out by speeding by drivers. Foggy, clear, full daylight, and the nights, oh goodness. Dont be that vehicle, please.
I love how you and Emi pop into each other’s videos. I mean, I like how you each do your own channels and focus on slightly different things. But it’s fun and sweet to see a brief glimpse or hear a few words from the other one, before you get “back to business.” 😃
The shoes you've been wearing do not give you any support at all in your feet they're just flat you might want to either put a support piece in your shoes you can get one set and trade them off with each pair of shoes. Trust me I know I've been there. 🌵🐕🌼🌻🦋💜😊🌵
Living carlife in Colorado and my alternator took a 💩 yesterday. Mechanic said 4 days minimum. I did it myself with the blessing that is TH-cam. Hard to do carlife with no car. 😭 I got this 💪
Multimeter, tire inflator, car jumper, Go Treads, fuses are on my list for future car/van life. Nice catch, detective work! Happy travels, stay warm out there!
I love frosty mornings. The air is crisp. You probably have new fuses by now. I was going to suggest finding a place that installs automotive stereo systems. They would possibly have the fuse in stock.
Cruzie is so cute, and comfortable on your laundry. I have a small solar generator, and I am testing what it can do. I was able to cook 🍳a small meal in it ,but it will be best to charge my phone, and tablet, as well as providing light. I glad to see 👀what your Jackery can do. Thanks for sharing. stay warm, and safe travels ❤.
Heck yeah buddy this is what I’m talking about ❤️👍👍🤠 Beautiful campsite, and now with me I can roam around do a little hiking they’re driving my 1/10 scale remote control truck along with me yeah. Gosh I really appreciate you sharing this video love it
@@LibertyOrD___h not to mention agm would be double the weight. I was more saying in his case if they were setting still for a couple days it would be cool to see if the new jackery with all the solar could supplement his vans power system.
When you get back to BC you will notice difference in temp. We are getting really warm weather during the day. 23 yesterday here and most of October has been in the 20s. Unusual for this time of year. We live in Campbell River.
You're safe with a 100 or 125 fuse., waste of gas pushing your engine more cause of the over build🤣 I love it man thank you for that info👍 I really like your videos man you are real 4sure so thank you again I'm always learning and I like to learn about van life stay awesome
I use to be able to drive long distances even without cruise control. The last trip I took in my little Plymouth Colt, was misery. I had such leg cramps in my right leg due to being on the gas pedal, I had to stop frequently to get out to walk around. I've had cruise control in every vehicle since. I loved the Colt but I need to have cruise control!
I'm over 50 and just got my first automatic. Love stick shift but in heavy long congested commute it was hell with 50 cars in line at a 3 way stop. My world changed. Cruise control and safety features are such a blessing to have.
I added cruise control on my 2005 econoline van by changing the steering wheel and having the dealer enable cruise option in the computer. Total cost was about $600 and worth every Penny.
Now that you have more power, perhaps you could run a small microwave convection oven. That is probably a more healthful style of cooking. Plus you have the small propane single burner, if I remember correctly. You might even be able to have an electric kettle. That would make morning coffee easier. I don't know about this for sure. You'd need to run the numbers.
Yo! I've really enjoyed how you put so much into your vids. Appreciate your xcountry advanture series and how much work you share. You're really giving it all you got! Canada isn't a piece of cake to travel and you've made it look mostly seamless, fun and beautiful. One of my favorite tours of canada that I've watched. Just awesome! +25 for the next week on the island.
Someone here said to just put in a 125 amp fuse. Please people, to stay safe NEVER replace a blown fuse in any circuit with one of a higher rating unless you are sure of the current rating of the wire and the device being powered. Ray Outfitted obviously knew this, that's why he said a 100 amp fuse will be okay.
Chrome, you said you love your coffee press maker. Are you aware that Stanley Makes a coffee press that easier to clean with no glass, check it out. My husband brought one loves it no glass, perfect for you.
Cruzie Bear looks so cuddly 🥰 Makes me miss my Baby Girl 😭 💔 She's been at The 🌈 Bridge 9 months now. I miss her so much. Seeing Cruzie Bear always makes me smile. Safe travels ya'll. ❤
Loving that flannel shirt man! There's a product that works fabulously well for clothing and fabric related static all times of the year especially in winter. It's called Static Guard, it's a spray can and it's available on the US Amazon site and it should be available on Canadian one to. One can usually lasts pretty long because you don't need that much. Buying a couple might be prudent for ease just incase you use a lot more. Weirdos Unite! Safe Travels, Hug and Luvs Always. Every Day's a Holiday(even when it isn't. lol) Raised By Wolves-Susan&Karen
I remember static guard. I moved from Illinois to Houston Texas and don't need it because of the humidity. When it does get too dry, I use a dryer sheet. I also wear cotton year round. I don't notice much static anymore.
Static sparks on blankets are cool. You can make more if you run your fingers across the blanket real fast. Learned that at college. My dorm was drier than the Sahara 😂
Awesome Chrome, appreciate you stopping and checking out the moose, I do the same thing around here I live in a little town Manchester Michigan it’s just a four block town . And the rest is country see Dear different birds and my favorite the bald eagle my favorite
Yeah chrome here in Manchester Michigan it’s getting really cold weather back again the dampness is what gets to you, but I love the color in the trees beautiful. I know it’s got to really be beautiful around there, Yep I am here watching buddy 👍👍🤠
Yes chrome our battery drills and saws saws that we use on the job, won’t charge either , Being too cold outside. Because we install windows in houses first thing we do is get the batteries and charger in the homeowners house to warm up
Just left Vancouver island was there in Sydney for 4 yrs left because I couldn’t take all the rain in the winter I’ll take cold and sunny over damp wet rain for weeks at a time ,,anyways we’r now down south in Louisiana right now heading for Baha Mexico ,,cheers folks
Doesn't that model of Jackery have pass through charging? (You can use the power while it charges = pass through) So you could hook up all those panels and charge away. That might get you out of a bind at some point... because stuff happens.
I love the beautiful foliage here in Connecticut! The colors, this year are gorgeous! Cruzie looks adorable in his sweater. I bought the Jackery 1000 Pro a few weeks ago. Going to use it for house appliances when I lose power. Havent charged it up yet. You guys had a great summer! Loved all your videos!

The last video about charging your batteries made me think, that getting a new more powerful/higher output/better built alternator would be a great investment for your van.
@@mrmotofy It is if it shortens the life of your alternator, because its not designed to work as hard as its being worked, also you may as well, when getting an alternator get one thats not only designed for work loads like this, but also get one that can produce more power.
So the new electrical setup by RayOutfitted was done what.. oen or two weeks ago, and already a fuse was blown. Either the fuse was too small for the setup somehow, or it was already somewhat faulty from the beginning. -You can put in that one bigger fuse you have, things will work.- EDIT: Never mind, you already contacted Ray.
Anyone knows which radio 'walkie talkie' chrome is using? They seems to be a great quality. I looked on his site but did not see them. Thanks love your vlog Chrome.
Voltmeter is helpful yes for voltage but you can’t see the amps. I have worked of trucks where u have voltage on both sides but no load (amps) can make it to the other side of the fuse. Get a standard test light. NOT a LED test light
Here's a jackery test I'd like to see. I suggest when you get back to your shop Chrome try and charge your ebike from the Jackery and I'd love to know how many charges you can get from that jackery you have to charge your ebike. Cause I'm planning on going ebike camping with a bike trailer to bring camping equipment and I'd love to know how many charges you can get from that jackery to charge up an ebike to full charge. And using solar panels to recharge the Jackery while out camping. Would love to see a jackery test like this.
