That's VERY true. I was a TKD black belt. At our weekly hour-long sparring class, I would always end up sparring a local cop who came for the sparring class. He was 4-5 inches taller than me and had a greater reach with both hands and legs. He threw relatively few techniques. But his main one was a simple front kick, that he threw with excellent timing. I had such a hard time because every time I'd try to get inside on him, he'd throw that front kick and get me in the ribs with it. I used to get angry. And from that I learned that anger is not helpful in that type of situation. Ultimately I had to throw some fakes and use those to get inside on him, that was the only way I could hit him with anything.
@@patriciajin6206 Sure. I started at 19. I was in college then and had a lot of free time. I went to TKD classes 3-5 times/week and trained ALL the time. GSP was one of the greatest athletes ever in the UFC. He could absolutely learn such a devastating kick. It's just that no one taught him, that's all. I learned TKD in the same era as when Rogan learned it. My school was the same way. Full power kicks. Never did point sparring. We broke boards with our kicks, regularly. @@richardrobinson1697 Katas are important. You’re saying that you lack discipline and mental patience if you cannot practice katas. You are not ready for martial arts if your mind is like this. Source: 3rd degree black belt.
@@yurinoworry THINK YOU NEED TO REREAD MY COMMENT. I AM TALKING ABOUT REAL STREET FIGHTS. MY SENSEI HAD BLACK BELTS IN 3 STYLES AND SURVIVED TWO TOURS IN VIETNAM 🇻🇳. I AM A BLACK BELT 🥋 TOO. I PRACTICED KATAS YEARS LATER ON MY OWN. MY SENSEI PREFERRED REAL WORLD 🌎 TRAINING AS HE CALLED IT. EXPERIENCE IN STREET FIGHTS MADE US DANGEROUS. YOU CAN PREFER KATAS THOUGH, HAVE FUN.🥋🤔🥋
Having GSP say that kick was “the hardest strike he’s ever seen” is very impressive.
You’re a badass Joe! 🖖🏼👽
George saint "human bean" pierre
Don't know why this made me laugh LMFAOOOOO
I'm guessing your second language skills are better than his if you're going to poke fun at it.
*uman bean

@@jonathanallard2128 its a joke not a dick dont take it so hard
You can see how passionate he is when he talks about fighting
I’m happy GSP brought this up. I trained in Tae Kwon Do for many years and when I saw Joe’s counter back kick it blew my mind. It’s by far the most powerful one I’ve ever seen. He folds bags when he trains as his technique is perfect. The traditional Tae Kwon Do counter back kick is the deadliest kick in martial arts. It’s literally deadly.
These 2 guys...it never gets old hearing them share stories and mutual respect. Classy gents.
That still image of the kid mid-air was hilarious
“Is he alive?” LOL!!! Seriously though.... Is he?😳😳😳
@Whitney Allen - legend has it, he's still on the mat grabbing his side.
Miko Philo he’s still in the air bro
3:46 "Is he okay now, is he *ALIVE???*" LMAO. Love GSP
Gsp respects Joe rogan... gotta love that. Respect To both of you
I grew up watching UFC when GSP and Anderson silva were dominating the sport, good times
that's like the best compliment rogan can hear. This is probably one of his greatest moments.
Joe “DMT makes ur spinning kick stronger” rogan
Ball is Life best one I’ve seen yet lol
Rogan telling GSP how to fight--priceless!
How to kick*
Whackashit how to throw one kick*
Are you braindead?
Have you ever had a fight
A real master always learns to make himself better...😉
GSP has been training this move for years now. Gonna use it for his comeback.
I literally know nothing about fighting. But I can respect these two fellas talking about what they do. They both seem very humble and respectful
The most boards I broke at once was 5 (3.75-4" of wood) with a jump reverse side kick. (kind of like Rogan's kick, but airborne) That kick had devastating power. You could break someone's sternum with such a kick..
7:25 Georges reaction 10/10
*Joe "that's where all that power comes from" Rogan*
dude your knee and side kick technique is insane!!!!!!
GSP and Joe geeking out about Martial arts is awesome
Gsp doesn't ever seem like a guy that could beat you to death with his hands. He's just so nice.
"Carrot tea"
i was wondering wtf u posted this for, until i tried to find a funny way to break it down😂
Hahahahaha awsoomeeeee
I was literally scrolling through comments and saw this just as GSP said it ahahaha
Joe "I'll just give you a refresher" Rogan
Joe should feel honored to have gsp give him such compliments
GSP telling Joe that he has the hardest kick feels like when Madara declared Gai the strongest Taijutsu user
What episode was that? It's been a while....
@@odd_shoe can’t remember it either just look up their fight he says it immediately once he opens all the gates madara is like fuchhhh
3:45 "is he ok now, is he alive?" Lmao
Regardless...GSP/Joe Rogan would kick the soul out of you and youll have an out of body experience.
duachim no DMT needed for that trip!
Omg. If the UFC was around at the scale it is at today with a young Rogan...holy shit. This podcast is so legendary. I love them both.
Who tells GSP "I'll give you a refresher" lol amazing
GSP is the goat , the best attitude , no ego , willing to still learn even after all is done , the best .
This is so insane. Like imagine being Joe giving advice to GSP? Arguably the greatest MMA fighter ever.
Lol no, what about conor?
@@peewee6479I hope you’re not serious. GSP is so much higher than Connor on the goat list it’s not even funny
@@theserpent6070Conor has a special place in the sport and his rise was meteoric.. no one sells a fight like Conor. I would maybe put him in the top 5 but that’s a big maybe. GSP my goat!
@peewee6479 if gsp was on the PEDs Connor was on he might old every single ufc belt he could have cut to. Gsp was in terms of all-round martial art talent was only ever rivaled by mighty mouse
The way he says ‘Karate’ as ‘Kara-tee’ is giving me life
I only watch these for the “joe something something Rogan” comments 😂
Sami "I only come here for the Joe something something Rogan" comments Abdul
I hate those comments, they're uninspired and 99% of them aren't funny at all.
@@jerff5411 😂😂😂 thank you bro I got a good laugh from that
Why people do that..im new here btw.
@@Phoenix-hd1tk It just started as a joke in the comments like when joe rambles on about dumb stuff like smoking weed or how chimps could fuck you up 😭
6:55 GSP: "Sheeiittt"
"Is he okay now is he alive?" LMAO GSP is hilarious
I love how George’s initial reaction was to make sure if the other guy survived the kick
Crazy, wacky, pot smoking, Joe such a normal dude.
But his side kicks look like a work of art in motion.
ITF Taekwondo= best kicks, except for the lack of leg kicks
Eloy Padula yea but now its starting to become tap kicks like WTF
BhadMan316 it's that fucking point system they use.
Does ITF use the shin for round kicks like Muay Thai?
Nohb'dy 11
Nope, top of the foot
Wow I didn't know Joe was taught by Jae Hun Kim, that's a real grandmaster of Taekwondo, respect!
I caught a spinning back kick from a 3rd degree black belt when I was testing for my first degree (tae kwon do) at about 18. Even in just a forms spar, it put me to the ground for about five minutes.
Even as I moved away from Tkd, and into Pankration, spinning back kicks and spin hook kicks can end a fight in one move like no other non-head kick.
Two humble fighters discussing their skills.
That’s what’s it all about
Believe me Joe Rogan is possibly the wisest man on earth, a guy who stops fighting at 21 who is quite clearly a masterpiece in his martial arts. Salute to these men👍
Joe "I have a really good spinning back kick" Rogan
@sly tora The comment is damn near a year old, you aren't getting sick of anything.
@sly tora You deleted your comment that said about you are getting sick of the Joe "..." Rogan thing.
@sly tora Why did you delete your comment and then call me out as if you didn't just delete it? Lol
Sly "I'm a fuck up" Tora
Fixed it for you!
I did love the original video. You could tell that GSP wasn't so much not taking Joe seriously, but he seemed fairly skeptical with a "well, ok let's see this" type attitude.
As soon as Joe hit that first spinning sidekick GSP starts asking him if he can record video of him doing it on his phone (so he could analyze it closely later on). It took one kick for Joe to make him a believer.
Joe is the exact embodiment of that saying about fearing a man who's done one kick 10000 times
GSP is the greatest of all and still soo humble to learn.
This is why gsp is one of my favorite fighters the dude is a beast and hes a great guy
I hope there's going to be a vid of Joe teaching GSP again
Best spinning side kick I've ever seen! jesus lol
When GSP says thats the strongest strike from a human being hes ever seen thats a compliment
That's a great compliment to joe Rogan.
Joe your spinning back kick is pure art my friend and im glad you`r the only 1 with that brush because you are a humble and respectful person and from what i gather you`r the type of person who loves to learn about different arts and techniques ,not to be a big head or a bully but just to know that you can do it and pull it out if your life is in danger but other than that its like physical therapy or a religion where your body aches for movement and involvement, to be immersed with the universe
