    Thank you very much, I'm one the guys asking you for carb linkage help... got it all squared away now, my old bs19 problem was the idle and jet screws. I had to back them out 3 full turns before it would even think about cranking....now it sounds like a beast

      Jon Michael Helms It's always great to hear that an engine has been saved and brought back to life. Of all the engines I have, not a single one has the same carburetor settings. Cheers!! Zip~

    I need help with Gov springs for my Big 10 Allis. Mine has a hi,lo throtle setting and 2 springs. Not the rite springs I'm sure

      I've got numerous videos on the governors on these machines. As far as new springs, you need your engine model and type to find them. I suggest Partstree.com and Jaskssmallengine.com. Both are excellent sources for replacement parts. Cheers! Zip~

    Other cures for the worn throttle arm hole for the throttle arm pivot hole are twofold;
    1:your local machine shop (NAPA) can insert a hollow brass rivet into the hole*,
    2. or you can either braze, or solder (90/10) the hole closed and then re-drill the hole to be SLIGHTLY larger than the diameter of the throttle rod.(save a trip into town)
    * simular to the one in the throttle arm. being brass, it is less likely to wear. Of course a small drop of oil, or lithium grease will aid in that respect**
    Can't wait to see the innards of this mechanism!
    ** don't forget to add this to your periodic lube list!
    "keep 'em clean, keep 'em lubricated, KEEP 'EM LONGER"

      GrincheyOne Much like the brass grommet that is present in the carburetor butterfly. Good point Grinchy!

    Hi Zippo, question, 1964 Garden Marks/Montgomery Wards Squire 9 (thank you for the correct year) won’t maintain ground speed, I can move the governor arm up freely and the engine revs, but the governor will not move on it’s own under a load, any help would be appreciated.

      So you're saying the engine won't maintain engine speed I assume. The governor springs may not be properly placed or, worse case, the governor weights have come off. Do you feel any resistance at all in the governor if you physically operate the carburetor butterfly? Email me at ZippoVarga@gmail.com

    Can the governor be removed permanently?

    • @ZippoVarga
      @ZippoVarga  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It's a common practice, but I personally don't recommend it. Yes....it can be removed. But you always run the risk of over revving the engine and causing damage. Zip~

      Sony Handycam. It's got a trace feature that follows subject matter (like faces, hands etc.)
