Love both shots, the colours and detail in the first one are stunning, and particularly loved that leading line. The star trail has eye catching drama, and has reminded me not to ignore longer lenses in my night sky kitbag. Thanks for allowing us along. Great watching.
Thanks Cat - really appreciated. I often use those longer lenses for some of the b-roll timelapse I do, and where possible turn them into star trails. The great thing about longer focal lengths is you don’t need so long for the trails to fill the frame, which reduces the chance of clouds! Appreciate the support. 🙏
Wonderful images Paul and indeed challenging conditions, especially the last location. It does seems a plague when the area of Sky you'd like to image is cloudy but other areas are clear. Well to me it does. Looking forward to your next adventure, clear skies Paul, thank you 😊
Awesome results Paul. I certainly admire your dedication and persistence. Well done my friend. That last lighthouse looks absolutely amazing. .. . You'll have to return there when the conditions clear up.
That was fantastic Paul! Shame about the clouds and eventually the rain, but what a trooper, standing there in the rain, gear getting wet, but carrying on👍👍 Awesome drone footage, and superb image of the lighthouse, The clouds helped to make the image! Great work mate! Keep them coming Paul👍 Clear skies!
I really enjoy the reality of the journey. So many think it's easy but it's work. This is why I value the photographs SO much! I like the real approach you give ua Paul. I also really like the music you use. Great photos!
Thanks Lisa - that’s very kind of you. No point just showing the ups as it’s the journey that makes it all so fun and worthwhile! Although if I could only make those clouds go away…..
Thanks for taking us along Paul. Love the 2 images you captured. Shame the last iconic location didn't pan out but hopefully we'll be there with you again when it does in the future.
Hi Paul. Another excellent production at a location I know well. Penmon Point's a great place to photograph noctilucent clouds. Looks like you had the place to yourself as well which is rare! Such a shame the weather was poor at South Stack. Gives you a reason to return soon ! You've come away with some great images of the island though Paul. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks, Tim - really appreciated. I bet Pennon is great for NLCs - wish I could have spent longer there. There were a few folk in campervans and a couple of people fishing, but otherwise it was wonderfully quiet, which was great! I’ll definitely be back. 👍
That was such a great adventure again Paul! I love and hate lighthouses as a subject. They are so abstract, beautiful and kind of mysterious. But then there are those lights... which also are a great focal point... I always get confused haha. You did very well despite the conditions!
Thanks Jeroen. Completely agree on lighthouses - fantastic, but often a pig to edit! Being near the sea is always something I appreciate though. Thanks for the support, man. 🙏
Glad you liked Anglesey- I’ve been here for years and can tell you that the weather you experienced was better than average!! Still you got some great shots.👍 Many other great locations for astro here so you must come back. Clear skies hopefully??!! 😀👍
It was amazing, Geraint - I’m so envious! It must be great to explore and know the coastline as well as you do - I imagine you’re always discovering new things. Really enjoyed my brief visit and look forward to coming back. (Just saw a report of bioluminescent plankton at Beaumarais yesterday - that would be very cool!).
Great video Paul! Great last minute choice too! Sometimes the clouds offer a beautiful composition like what you managed to capture. P.S loved the cinematic intro 👍
Aah, the classic dilemma. Stay and wait for the clouds to clear or move on... 🙂 I'm sure you will give that lighthouse another try at a later time. That first image turned out great!
Excellent video Paul, glad you made the most of the conditions, it's better to come away with something than nothing at all. I should really take a leaf out of your book, I've lost count of the number of times that the weather forecast hasn't been that favourable but I have still seen stars when looking out the window.
Thanks Pete - appreciate the encouragement! I'm often the same, but wanted to make the most of the limited time I had in that part of the world. I should have the same mentality at home, really!
Really nice adventure, Paul. Lighthouses seem to be a very nice subject :D. Looks like you will have to return to the last place some time in the future, because it is a beautiful scene there.
Loved this Paul...I think most astrophotographers watching will relate to the weather downturn 🤣... Being from the NW myself, I could`ve just told you this was likely to happen as it`s part of the fabric of that part of the world...cracking images too mate 👏👌
Thanks Pete - yep, I think we’ve all that nights that went south weather-wise! It was still amazing being up there at night, though - super atmospheric. Thanks for the support. 🙏
Great one! Well worth battling with the weather. Although you didn't get any images from that last viewpoint the video of the lighthouse beams in the fig made up for it ❤️🙂👍
Love it,really Great my friend 🥰🥰🥰🤝💚💚❤️❤️😍😍
@@AnupAdventures thanks Anup - very kind of you.
Well done Paul, another super adventure and video. Just shows you don’t need perfect conditions to get great shots. Love the final images.
Thanks Glenn - completely agree. Those perfect conditions are so elusive we’ve just got to get out there! Thanks for the support. 🫡

Thanks Lee - really appreciated. Ha, I think that’s a plague we’re all used to!! Nice to at least have *some* clear sky though!
Such a good nightscape channel with so few subscribers? that's insane! Great video as always Paul👏
@@NightscapeDK ha ha, thanks Kenneth - that’s very kind. Appreciate the support. 🙏
Nice video and nice shots Paul. Stars and sea.
Thanks Massimo - a great combination!!
Awesome results Paul. I certainly admire your dedication and persistence. Well done my friend. That last lighthouse looks absolutely amazing. .. . You'll have to return there when the conditions clear up.
Thanks Richard - really appreciated. That whole area will be revisited a number of times I think - just a shame it’s on the other side of the country!
@@nightscapejournals Oh well, it will be worth the effort I'm sure.

@@GrowPhotography thanks Greg - really appreciated. Still amazing to be there despite the rain!
Nice images as always Paul despite the conditions. I agree, just get out there and something usually works out!
Cheers, Scott - got to be in it to win it!!

Yep, seems we’re always destined to make those calls!! Thanks, Martin - appreciate the support. I’ll definitely be back one day.
A relief from the interminable grey. South Stack seemed atmospheric!! A couple of decent images as well. Paul.
Definitely no relief from that here at the moment!! Ha ha, yep - South Stack had ALL of the atmosphere! Thanks for your support. 👍
