    When you’ve moved from goal to habit, you’ve exceeded 80% of your potential competition.
    Set your habits to your personality and play to those strengths which make you the most effective you.

    I’m really tired of living in competitive world. Can we just start to cooperate to make this world better instead of treating each other as enemies?

      Lucas Arievillo I would be glad to discuss it with you, but since you are rude, why bother? You live in your personal bubble, where current times are final product of society, good luck! Most people think like you and always have. During the communism most people thought exactly like you: "there is nothing else". But it's concerning that you seem to be proud of your ignorance.

    Wonderful video. 🙏
    My key takeaway:-
    Stop carrying fuzzy Ambitions. Even when you physically can't show up, show up psychologically. That's how you'll be able to build a habit. Habits are built by psychologically adhering to a pre planned SYSTEM.

    The problem is not wanting to do something, but actually doing it. This includes planning to do something. How many people subscribe and view The Art of Improvement videos? But how many actually follow-through on the ideas? To those that do, congratulations!!!! Most people are aware of what they need to do - exercise more or eat healthier - but we just don't (consistently) do it. True, sometimes we lack the knowledge or skills, but even when we have those (videos such as this give you the knowledge) how many actually apply the knowledge and stay with it? If there are subscribers that implement most of what is discussed in The Art of Improvement videos I'd love your feedback and see how it's going. You certainly would be in the top 5% of people. The majority of us need ongoing support and coaching to fully implement life-changing ideas. Self-help can be great, but having a good friend, partner, therapist or coach is invaluable.

    What do you do when showing up is the hard part?

  • @devilsadvocate1590
    @devilsadvocate1590 5 ปีที่แล้ว +9

    So True my friend. Once you make it as a habit then it becomes effortless to do your everyday tasks. By performing smaller tasks on a regular and consistent basis you create a habit for yourself. You become so glued to the habit that if you don't do it for even a day, you feel the difference and it makes you uncomfortable. Robin Sharma and Darren Hardy gave good insights on how to create a habit. Darren Hardy stated that if you do a task consistently for 21 days, you can create a habit. It actually takes a year to build up a never changing habit, but 21 days is a good start. It'll create a good momentum for yourself. I'm trying this in my own life at the moment. Yet to hit the 21 days mark, Wish me luck :)

    I often feel like I'm alone in my dilemma; I've grown a nasty habit of calling out for work, it's grown to just about once or twice every week now. If I keep up this behavior I will lose my job.
    I have a very deep rooted history with anxiety due to life circumstances as a child, and I often let my anxieties win the battle, and I call out.
    The things I am anxious about at work are not being able to perform at a high enough standard, and getting yelled at or confronted for my work. I am a perfectionist because of this anxiety yet my anxiety to disappoint seems to not drive me to go rather, keep me from going in order to avoid all possibilities of these things happening I s'pose.
    It's truly an up-hill battle to shake this mindset. But thanks to your video, I now have new strategies to consider. Thank you.
