That kitchen table may be 50s or 60s. My family moved from Illinois to Anaheim in 1954. I was 10 at the time. Six kids, we sat 3 per side at a table almost the same as that one. A faux marble formica top in gray and white, chrome legs, 8 chairs matching.
I bet a man named this mine don't you😂that is a beautiful place,and that tall building was a pain to build ,I think Did you notice if they used square nails?I love that old trucks huge steering wheel.I don't do heights well either.Take care love you guys 👍❤️

Chrome dinettes became popular in the the 40s and continued through the 50s, by the 60s they were beginning to show their age. And as you said, they have regained some shine with the retro lovers. The washing machine had both an agitator and a wringer, think we are looking at the mid-50s at newest.

At 15:47, if certain people wouldn’t ravage the artifacts there, that would be a beautiful Washing Machine to enjoy viewing! Missing the Wringer-Head for the shaft on the left corner, the Agitator inside, and the Lid on top, too! Back in the 1950’s, we had to go to the Laundromat that had about 20 of these types of machines to do our clothes. Otherwise, my Mom had to use a No. 3 Tub with a Scrub Board to clean clothes and then hang them on a Clothes Line!! The ‘Wonderful Good-Old-Days’ !!

Whatever people call Bigfoot. I used to think it was ridiculous until I had my own, unbelievable experience deep out in the woods by myself. I 100% believe something is there, sometimes we can see it, sometimes we can't, we can only hear it and sense it. Truly scary shit... I'd rather meet anyone in the woods alone than something I can't see...

As I was watching this, I couldn't imagine how they got all of those materials, furniture, and equipment up there, a century plus years ago.🤔 The road must have been very serviceable back then. I was looking at the refrigerator, the leather chair, etc. So, whose things would those be, if the mine closed in 1930? Andrea suggested that hunters might have used those cabins back in the 1950s, and maybe even later. That makes sense.🤔🤫🤗 BTW, as much as we enjoy your adventures, none of us want to see either one of you put yourself in questionable, dangerous circumstanes, more than you already do, Andrea and Steven. 🏚🙏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻💚
Interesting video and explore! I went for a mountain hike in Montana once about the first week of August and the light rain soon turned into snow! Once I saw the fence along the road ... I kind of figured the entry portals would be closed. Those marshy areas are often the best place to find snakes. I think the table is late 40s on to early 60s. The washing machine is the type that ran off a gas engine. I did a search on TH-cam for "Big Dick" and your video turns up as number three on a rather unusual list of videos! 🙂 I think you got a bit of a crossover on viewers there! I tried to look up when it was being mined, but the results were far from conclusive. I think it is a case requiring a real library visit. I found one source listing production in 1927 and another talking about ore processing in 1940. My guess is the war ended production there. Looks like there are lots of mines in the area ... and sometimes when a mine closed and an ore body was found in another mine ... they would go back to the closed mine and look for the same rock sequence.

That is the thing about researching on line - it is so difficult these days and lots of wrong information too. Libraries are always the best way. Unfortunately difficult for us seeing as we are on the road and normally in the middle of nowhere!
@@PinInTheAtlas The other videos are pointedly off the subject of lead and silver mining! lol I suspect you would not have the time needed even if a library was convenient. It can take a lot of time to follow the sources to the facts ... and often when you are dealing with old sources ... they are often protected and more of a problem to access.

I'm confused. The sound at the beginning of your video. Was it you? What a find. The truck from the 1930's . The table early 1950's. . The large building has the look of being built in the late 1880's? Now I wouldn't be able to do what you do there.
Relatives have told me never go hiking unarmed in Montana. You never know where grizzly bears might be hanging out and need to be prepared just in case. That could have been what was watching you.
Probably shouldn't call out the names of these places as this is how they get destroyed.i know this area and I'm sure the private land owners above this wouldn't want to see this area trashed.

Many raised chimneys for wood stoves have caused fires back i-t-d. Mine was made of 18x18 concrete blocks that started below floor.

Table is 1950's. and beautiful and worth a little money there. and yes that was a old 1940s wringer washer. i still have one now.
