That second one looks to be a really old home-made travel trailer, probably was pretty cool back in the day. What an awesome find! It's hard to tell how long this place was abandoned, the birds and rats move in pretty quick in the PNW and take these places over. Thanks for sharing 😁

That is a creepy place. The vibes it creates are unsettling. I can only imagine how it feels, in person. I am glad you got out of there. There wasn't even one sign of positive life left behind... not one thing that gave a connection to any of the former inhabitants, except for the names, which could have been put there anytime. That does seem unusual. Two prong plugs were phased out starting in 1962. But that was gradual, lasting all the war to the late sixties. The house and the older trailer, very 1950s to me. When land is converted to federal land. Not everybody was agreeable to that. Perhaps, that is what you detected.

Interesting explore! My guess is the room with the barrels is an old tack room and the barrels were for holding saddles. The problem with old ranches and farmsteads is the uses of things change with the passage of time which can make things a bit confusing at times. The three prong outlets started showing up in the early 1950s, but the two prong outlets continued for a long time after that. The old trailer looks like early 1940s from what I could see from the construction. My first thought when seeing an abandoned newer trailer out in the middle of nowhere ... is meth lab, but I suppose it could have been used as a line camp for cattle. Looking at the trash around the trailer might explain what it was used for?

    • @PinInTheAtlas

The first building looks like it a wooden floor. Might have been for worker to sleep. The first travel trailer had bunk bed. It was no older than the 1980's. The second travel trailer is from the 1950's. Because of the electrical outlets had no ground. From the 1960's electrical outlets had ground. The odd building with two opposite small doors. Might have been for storage. Have you noticed they took everything with them. Not like other abandoned ranches . Were still find things. The feeling of not being welcomed has to do with something that took over the land. I don't know what it is maybe cryptid or spirit. I was getting chills thinking about the place. I usually really love your videos, being very far from where you're at (Germany) and I think you're doing a great job with the editing and storytelling. But with this one I'm a bit sad that you portrayed this place as creepy. I guess you felt that way and I get it. But this was once someone's home and they probably went through a lot with the place being in Eastern Oregon and in a desert region at that. It was probably a dream come true to have that opportunity. Sure, they maybe left because life was hard and the land was not as arable as they were made to believe, as with so many places on the planes.
And for the dirt - sure, it might seem dirty because the birds (some type of swallow, I would guess?) have taken over the house. But to me, except that it's dirty for sure, it's not that negative. It's just nature taking over again. And then the swallow is usually seen as a really good omen, because they're associated with the arrival of warm spring weather and a new season of growth and abundance.
I don't want to dismiss your feelings about the place, they are for sure more valid than mine, with you having been there for real and me just watching your video. I just wanted to give a bit of a different interpretation.
Anyways, I'm looking forward to seeing more of your adventures in the future and to enjoying your storytelling and small history lessons! Greetings from Germany!

Thank you. We strive to improve each video and are still learning new techniques.
As you know we have explored many abandoned places and don’t get spooked easily. This place, however, had a very eerie feeling about it. Both of us were uneasy and we just had that gut feeling that something wasn’t right. My Dad always told me to trust that gut instinct. There was an energy there that made us feel uncomfortable.
We’re hope you continue to join us on our adventures every Tuesday.
      Thank you for your comment.

Well that's possible.Dont know where this place is at, but if it was south Texas around the border region definitely a place for illegals or meth labs or pot farms .Yeah places can have creepy vibes including cemeteries.Definetly bad when you get the Herbie jeebies in the daylight.
