The Thompson Annihilator can be equipped on an assault class loadout as a Primary Weapon.
Annihilator Trench: Unlock by getting:
- 100 kills with Assault Primary Weapons
- 25 Kills with Sidearms whilst playing as the Assault Class

Would've been the meanest smg of the war as far as wounds go. 9mm is mean but .45acp would of made some devastating injuries and fast

The martini henry was also known to make pretty terrifying wounds, but what do you expect from a .55?
fun fact Germans threaten to execute anyone using a shotgun or holding a shotgun shell then the other factions said that they will do the same to anyone wielding a flame throwers which was their foot stool in WW1 and as a result that would add more pressure to the flamer role so the german army didn't go with the execution or else the flame trooper role would be a case of "you have to believe that hte earth is flat that your own government is trying to kill you and that bleach is some miracle drug and there was some conspiracy spanning before recording was a thing"

I just got this and tbh it really doesn't take much skill. Recoil is a huge issue however, so it's a very run and gun weapon. Mixed feelings. At the same time, it's a very fast firing SMG, but with a huge recoil, no bayonet available and the need to reload often, I think it all balances out. Damage is decent.
Love using this weapon, just wish it had a bigger magazine. You can take down max three enemy players with one magazine, so you better equip a good sidearm.

Robert Olivier Keep in mind that they kept the magazine small for balancing reasons. If they gave the gun a 50 round drum with its stats, there would be no point for the Automatico and some of the other SMGs. It would be simply overpowered and few guns would compete up close.
Whenever I use this weapon, I just throw on a gas mask, marinate myself in gas and friendly incendiary grenades, hop on an ammo crate and just wait.

It is the Thompson. It's called the Thompson Annihilator. It's an early prototype variant of the finalised 1921 SMG.

Even if this weapon is a close quarter beast, like the Automatico or the SMG18/08, I don't like it that much. The low magazine capacity isn't good enough on large game modes, and can get you in trouble more often than not. At these extreme close ranges, I think the Automatico gives you a bit more room to miss shots due to its higher mag capacity (this is even more true for the SMG18). The problem is that, in the ranges where the Annihilator is at its best, you can pick a shotgun able to instakill your opponent, or deal with several ones in quick sucession (think about the Trench Gun Sweeper).
I like that sweeper though yea.

armagedoc66 he's on console so i am impressed. on PC it's not a miracle
This gun is one of the heardest guns to control in all the battlefields and btw i played all of them , and i think it is for the more pro players that has a good aim , as a ps4 player that doesn't use aim assist it is so hard to control but i learned to play with it after like 3 to 4 operation matches
On PC the recoil is easy after you get the hang of it. Took me around 10 minutes of gameplay. Wouldn't say that it's too hard.
enlarging the FOV makes guns more easier to control

I did five kills of mle 1903 and unlocked the obrez and then the other 15 with the obrez within one match of conquest and got the trench
So if the war continued for another 2 or 3 weeks, they would have seen combat.
Problably not. 2-3 months is more realistic

Did you play the Early Access of BF1? I did handle a gun which was the same as this gun but different name and it didn't have the back handle.

They aren't, you can only get them via the exchange.

Playing BFV with the M1928A1 made me use the Annihilator the same way as the M1928A1. I mean both have same playstyles.

Hit and run. just like haw the IRA used them. Of the few hundred Annihilator 1's that missed the grate war. 30 of those gun was given to the IRA in the early 1920s. A long with a bunch of 1921s purchased by sympathetic Irish Americans. Those guns was use by IRA freedom fighter's in hit and runs, and later terroir attack's agents the British as late as the 1980s.

At this point bf1 could not be seen as a ww1 game not that it ever was, this just put the final nail in the coffin
The weapon is from the First World War though. Sure, it is a prototype that never saw combat, but that was never a new thing in this game. The Helriegal was also a prototype, and that gun was available at release.
I understand that it's not a very historically accurate World War 1 game, but it is still a World War 1 game. I prefer to see this game as more of an alternate history World War 1 game, exploring the "what ifs" of the war.
