I think he was never blinded by tabu but was pretending to be blind the whole time thats why at the end he hits the can with his stick or maybe he just got an operation and got his eyes back it was pretty confusing for me too
ending was like "the lady or the tiger", not exactly, I mean it is open for interpretation. The movie basically says, don't care about the ending, just enjoy the 2 hours which you have spent.
Agreed the end is confusing..if he was not blind fully or half blind then how did he end up in the operation table of the doctor..so he was fully blind at that point..if the rabbit was a cooked up story the narration would b different it wouldn't appear in the beginning of the movie
