He is such a chaotically brilliant director. He wanted to do so many things. A blind pianist is playing, see's a corpse. There is a Cop and a woman cleaning up the crime scene while he is playing. This premise can be so easily messed up. Yet the legendary Sreeram Raghavan arranges this chaos in a manner that you are laughing your ass of. I have seen Amdhadhun twice in theatres and have a clear memory of 100s in Audience loudly saying "Oh Shit" at the sight of Manav in Bathroom and the then laughing cos Ayushman continues to Pee, wash his hands and come out of bathroom. I love this film for its surprises and laughs.
I really liked how he added 3 characters Macho Policeman, Kanta bai & her lover. The End Fate of all this characters were not shown properly in movies as they are insignificant to movie and plot and created to confuse the audience and to make them think about them.
I imagine that you've employed exaggeration and hyperbole to express your likeness for the scene. While there's similarity in the elements used in the 2 scenes, the latter is by far the better scene, at least IMO. They also serve slightly different purposes. The IB scene builds tension masterfully, stretches it as much as it can, then lulls the viewer into a sense of security as the characters they are rooting for seem to crossed every hurdle but then subverts the viewers' expectations as a simple careless gesture dooms the aforementioned characters out of nowhere after that LOOONNG ordeal had finally subsided. From a craftsmanship point of view, the IB scene operates at a far more superior level IMO. Give this video a watch from 5:45: th-cam.com/video/P8A4ivmCCk4/w-d-xo.html. I feel I can present many such arguments to further back my claim but I fear the comment is already running very long. Even though this is a subjective assessment, I feel it may objectively be stated that while the Andhadhun is pretty good, the IB scene is just better.
He is probably the best director right now in Bollywood. Andhadhun is a rare gem of a movie. Once in a while you come across a movie that after watching it you find yourself discussing and talking about a particular scene with your friends hours later.
