I absolutely adore the fact that the waterproof equipment just have a smol scuba equipment. x'D The pip generator is also really fun, and will help to diversify the shapes and use of ranches, so cool. Thanks for this overview!
Shinebug reactor has been broken for quite a few folks for a while now, even before this video was made. I wouldn't have shown it here till the guy addresses those issues and fixes the mod.
I am _positively electrified_ about these _shockingly, powerful_ ways to generate energy. I am most _particle-ly_ excited about running a base off of Pips! I am going to start a new base and _charge_ right in.
It's been 11 days since the video came out, but a mod with Pufts farting on a windmill is still not available. Come on people, don't let Brothgar down!
13:01 "*But seriously. You probably have an amazing base, and i wanna see some pictures*" Hehe you would not be the only one who would want to see those pictures.
I usually make a oxygen cooling loop by ataching a gas pipe thermo sensor to some thermoelectric generators with automation and the oxygen always comes out at about 0.1 above or below the set temp, really nice
My favorite part about modding oni is that (most) people aren't trying to break the game, they're just filling holes in the tech tree; I just need a 2k transformer and 4k wires please
Note the Advanced Generators 2 mod you are using seems to have an odd bug to it. Even when its the only mod enabled on a new world, Dups will refuse to research any tab that the mod edits, say renewable energy, that has the eco and thermoelectri gens in it. The is not an issue with researching in general as once I change what there researching my dupes have no issue diving in. Removing this mod also made my dupes dive into researching renewable energy, but once the mod was re-added, they instantly stopped and moved on. I had to switch the mod to the non english version by SuperComicMC to get my dupes to research anything the mod added. So be weary.
@@christophkogler6220 Unless its a recent update. But as of two days ago, I still couldn't get it to work. Thus I tested it on a new world, and unlocked everything up to before renewable energy and let the dupes go to work. They researched fine, then once they got up to renewable energy, they stopped. Nothing, even priority !! would make them touch the research table. But once I switched what the research was, they jumped on it like they were on a mission. Switch back, nothing, they instantly stop. Remove the mod? They instantly dive to researching. Pause mid research, re-add the mod. Bam, they leave the table and idle about. Switch the mod for the non english version, they go right back to researching. Granted, the mod works fine once added after the research is done. But they wont research for me with it on before hand.
Directly to the workshop! Thanks a lot! Next Stop: Unlimited PIP-ENERGY-Generator! Thanks Brothgar, you´re the best!Keep fascinating us with your curiosity! ;) PS: Do you got a video of printing your SWEEPY =) ?
dude u should do a playthrough on the `MiniBase` map mod. Do it vanilla with no unlimited storages with goal of reaching the temporal tear. Thats a cool challenge that would be enjoyable to watch. :) as all yer vids are ;) reg size conf map in the mod has just enough vertical space for the hydrogen 6 part rocket to fit in it :)
Thermoelectric Generators + a single full up-time Liquid Tepidizer could theoretically make around 4064kdtu/s, divided by 128kdtu/s = 31(.75 but we ignore that) thermoelectric generators * 250W each = 7750W, -960W for the Tepidizer, leaving approximately 6MW of power being generated from nothing.
I think you wanted to say 6KW, not MW. Yeah, those thermoelectric generators were too op XD. Instead of spending power to cool things below 125C, you would get even more xD
I'm surprised that light bulbs DON'T explode when having 2kW of power being delivered to them. Speaking of which, someone should make a Power Revolution mod wherein different materials conduct different amounts of wattage over distance... this would need some new resources, such as Tin, for the lower-end of power management. Also, wires will be able to produce heat depending on how much wattage is flowing through them, especially with high EMF zones where dupes will start to "see/hallucinate things" (Insert cross-over with Don't Starve).
@@brothgar Radiant wires with... tungsten, niobium, thermium... gold. Literally any heat-conductive metal material could be used. Maybe you could also find some rare conductive gemstones on the farther reaching planets for even more options. Really go Myst IV on this idea.
Carbon Revolution has an issue with the piped out mod (just about the second best mod in the game). Piped out seems to limit the output to max 200g/s so if you use Carbon Rev and set it to 0.2 or higher, you will notice stutters in the generators. I have a ticket into the piped output creator to check that out.
So, there are ways to generate huge amounts of power, move and store that huge amount of power, but now we need ways to utilize that huge amount of power.
Some of these mods sound amazing but at what point do I draw the line? I like the challenge of making vacuums for insulating joint plates and such. The modding community for ONI really amazes me.
I use mods in a lot of games, you draw the lines yourself, really. I hate cutting down trees in minecraft, so I got a mod that chopped the whole tree down, and played with just that mod for months, without it I would have stopped playing entirely. I could just open creative mode and plop wood into my inventory, but that crosses the line for me, what's the point? I did spend months playing it without the mod, too. I've put in a lot of time chopping trees.
does anyona have a problem whit the mods ONI Stairs-master and WallPumps-master? I install it manually on documents _klei- mods - local and they dont apear ingame just on the mods menu pls help
Really wanted to try mods, but unfortunately the game is regularly consuming 6GB of ram and regularly crashing especially with mods and usually any mod I enable gets disabled after a crash and mod buildings simply get deleted from a world.
I have a genuine question, have you ever had tag bit errors with your modded game? thats the problem i keep running into and i think i have less mods then you :(
I'm running an ungodly number of mods in my latest playthrough, after the last update I couldn't play for a week until the modders updated and then it took another day of sorting through conflicting mods to get it working again lol.
Mods are excellent thing, but you need a way to disable forced game update from Steam. Because new game version could outdate your installed mods and ruin your game.
@@brothgar Depends on what people like about the game tho. Your base looks beautiful it could take some time to build. I only play speedrun so if there's too many op mods then it doesn't have the experience :D
