What I love with these games are that the Characters have they're own ideals and that they have ambition to accomplish they're goals, like Sam who was really confident but still very skilled is why I love his character too
Back during the summers of 2016-2018, me and my best friend would “spar” with nerf swords in the yard and seeing this fight reminded me of those times, simpler times, better times
I guess this fight probably would have taken me a few hours less to complete of I'd upgraded damage on my sword, and the length of the fight overall wouldn't have been 20 minutes
"Must you really fight?" Poor wolf is like a kid watching his 2 dads fight. Lol But in all seriousness, meeting Raiden and Sam was a blessing for the doggo. Thanks to them and their conflict, he was freed. Very bitter sweet.
One thing I like to do is to walk slowly at the start and whenever we break apart. One thing I WISH I could do is put my sword away after disarming Sam. The fight is personal, so I'd like to keep things even.
Imo the real victim here is Bladewolf, he had to watch the only two allies he had ever really had in life fight to the death, and then in the end he is entirely forced to deal with immense grief for the first time in his little robo-life.
He has none. Hence why Blade Wolf said "I am unable to ascertain his motivation". Sam no longer truly believes in Armstrong's ideals nor does he have anything else to fight for. So he's basically trying to commit suicide by Raiden to get out of it. Plus Sam's theme song playing during the boss fight with him is literally about this.
I know the usual is to comment about Sam being unaugmented like an absolute Chad, but is nobody going to mention how his sword technique is nullified by drawing your blade to match the opponent? His sheath and sword are specifically designed to give him the quickdraw speeds that cut off both Raiden AND Armstrong's forearms. To relinquish that additional, perhaps underhanded, speed in a battle to the death means Sam took this as a battle of skill, will, and honor.
The reason their blades don't get dull while slicing through everything is because they vibrate so fast they cut at a molecular level So they're technically fighting each other with vibrators
The MGR community proves Monsoon’s point about memes, even through the watered down internet version of them. Expose somebody to enough Metal Gear memes and they’ll become interested in the game, so much so that they’ll create and share their own memes and continue the cycle.
I think he was referring to the other members of Winds of Destruction. It's pretty clear after you beat the game that Sam had completely lost his way by this point, he didn't have any ideals or goals of his own to live by anymore
@@salsamancer yea at this point in the game and a little earlier his whole goal was kind of suicide. He owed his life to Armstrong because he spared him yet he did not have the same ideals so he was just lost. it basically says that in his theme. he just wanted to die by Raiden's hands cause he was just a lost soul at this point.
The cool thing abt MGR is that the music lyrics start when the bosses stop holding back , Sam boss fight lyric start from the beginning which mean sam is not holding back fighting you , notice when you disarm him and he fight you with his own fist, the lyrics stop temporary

@@WetCatGaymer even Bladwolf was brought back and Raiden so I don’t doubt anything

Ayo
From all the bosses, Sam has earned my biggest respect
What I love with these games are that the Characters have they're own ideals and that they have ambition to accomplish they're goals, like Sam who was really confident but still very skilled is why I love his character too
3:15 most pivotal shot in all of metal gear
He's caked up like dam
0:24 That voice crack tho.
evRYthIG oKa Y oN uR siiDe??
That normal non-reaper voice tho tho.
He forgot his sore throat
Back during the summers of 2016-2018, me and my best friend would “spar” with nerf swords in the yard and seeing this fight reminded me of those times, simpler times, better times
6:50
Sam: Just getting started
Raiden: No
I guess this fight probably would have taken me a few hours less to complete of I'd upgraded damage on my sword, and the length of the fight overall wouldn't have been 20 minutes
You Deny Your Blade It's Purpose.
It Yearns To Bathe In The Blood Of Your Enemies... But You Hold It Back.
9:21 I like how when he stars running even tho he literally has a motorcycle
He most likely left it because of Sam as that was actually his bike. You see him use it in his DLC.
@@OtaniNoAsagiRaiden didn't know that
"Must you really fight?"
Poor wolf is like a kid watching his 2 dads fight. Lol But in all seriousness, meeting Raiden and Sam was a blessing for the doggo. Thanks to them and their conflict, he was freed. Very bitter sweet.
I like how sam makes his prescence very clear and doesnt lunge out at raiden, actually giving him time to prepare
there are so many things perfect about this part 5:03,
1. ripper mode ends timed with the music
2. music fits perfectly
no one is talking about the fact that sam is carrying an entire bakery?
I was looking for this comment x3
Say the deadweight
@@KENSHIROez3260 the deadweight
One thing I like to do is to walk slowly at the start and whenever we break apart.
One thing I WISH I could do is put my sword away after disarming Sam. The fight is personal, so I'd like to keep things even.
5:04 best sword parry: hold the fucking blade
Imo the real victim here is Bladewolf, he had to watch the only two allies he had ever really had in life fight to the death, and then in the end he is entirely forced to deal with immense grief for the first time in his little robo-life.
Funny thing is that we still don't know whats his motive is for doing all of this
Play sams dlc
He has none. Hence why Blade Wolf said "I am unable to ascertain his motivation". Sam no longer truly believes in Armstrong's ideals nor does he have anything else to fight for. So he's basically trying to commit suicide by Raiden to get out of it. Plus Sam's theme song playing during the boss fight with him is literally about this.
@@downingsyndrome2078 he never believed in Armstrong's beliefs, he was forced into it.

Sam was such a badass
When people start asking the question "what is the meaning of life" in ChatGPT:

In this fight, the lyrics instantly shows up, that means sam is always serius when fighting you.
Yep. The lyrics is really deep.
4:19 this moment perfect, just hear this
3:26 is one of the coolest moments in the entire game.
The reason their blades don't get dull while slicing through everything is because they vibrate so fast they cut at a molecular level
So they're technically fighting each other with vibrators
Formidable opponent indeed...atleast he’s playable in the dlc.
3:23
“And it ends *here.”*
“Okay, *Let’s Dance!”*
[ And now the real fight starts now. ]
"SHOW ME A GOOD TIME, JACK"
If the bossbattle seems like you are figthing against alive player, then the devs did a very good job at making bossfight.

The message this game told was fascinating it just sucks that it was so easy to make memes of lmao. Which is not a bad thing
The MGR community proves Monsoon’s point about memes, even through the watered down internet version of them. Expose somebody to enough Metal Gear memes and they’ll become interested in the game, so much so that they’ll create and share their own memes and continue the cycle.

What do you all believe Sam meant about 'ideals'? 1:59
9:09
"Was that cool or what, Wolf"
"Unnecessarily cool."
Raiden: Can lift a giant robot that weighs 4 billion tons. Meanwhile Sam: fights him with his bare hands.
"Uhm acktually the MG excelsus only weights 75k tons"

5:24 if the vocals would have started just a few seconds earlier it would have been perfect, lol
The cool thing abt MGR is that the music lyrics start when the bosses stop holding back , Sam boss fight lyric start from the beginning which mean sam is not holding back fighting you , notice when you disarm him and he fight you with his own fist, the lyrics stop temporary
6:56 inner sonic the hedgehog came out
5:05 I love the timing of the soundtrack here
I like how Raiden honours Sam’s Japanese heritage by using the traditional way of reshething his blade
this was the best fight, no multiple arms, no disconnecting limbs to dodge, just a skilled swordsman
Sam:
"i'm just getting started!"
*refuses to elaborate*
*dies*

3:34 is where the fight starts
In the middle of nowhere, a ninja and a samuria fights to the death.
8:42 thank god wolfy didn't bury it or else raiden would have surley been buried along with it soon after, lol.
The sync between the music and the sound of the blade 6:21
Amazing.

I like how when Sam loses their sword, the lyrics stop. I think this is because without their sword, Sam loses the one thing that gave them purpose, their sword
