    1- Warm milk or oat milk ( can add a bit of cinnamon, cardamom or turmeric)
    2- tart cherries or tart cherry juice
    3- kiwi
    4- walnuts

    1 Violet petal, 16 ounces of warm milk, and 1 ounce of chamomile excellent, sweetened if need with be natural brown unproccesed sugar.. warm , strain. If need to. Almonds are better than walnuts try it !! Namaste!! From ekekekek!!

    Hello there! Uhm okay, I have a question..😊
    Are there foods or drink to Decrease Melatonin?
    I have dark brown eyes I used to have light brown when I was young.
    I think it has to due to with age but also I'm a computer person and also watch tv..
    Are there recipe to enlighten your eye color naturally?
    Does reduce in Melatonin help to make eyes lighter? as brown eyes has more pigments..

    I know a person that cannot sleep without taking a lot of melatonin pills if they don’t have pills they will not sleep. I try to avoid them sometimes I take a 1/4 of 1 mg to go back to sleep if I wake up around 3 and it works

      Posting this 2 years after your comment. Is that person still taking lots of melatonin? Have they experienced any side effects?

    It's strenuous for me when it comes to sleeping early at night, even if I able to sleep early at night. I always wake up dizzy, to be more precise I don't feel fresh which I should feel waking up early in the morning.

      Varghab, sometimes symptoms like this can be a sign of an underlying sleep disorder (like sleep apnea for example). In such cases, medical evaluation may be useful.

      Try colon cleansing . To make your system clean it helps.

      @@villalarosa6480 you are right. There is medical research by some excellent Drs in the USA that show what goes on in the gut affects the health of the brain and also sleep.

      Hi Neelam, that can be so frustrating. If you haven't already done CBT-i (cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia), it works for most people even with years of sleep issues.

    Hi Doc. Can i ask of Any other milk can subtitutes for oat milk? Can help to get deep sleep? Milk that low in carbs and unsweetened? Please help me i can't feel my deep slept for a long time if i wake up 3am i coudn't to my sleep anymore. Even i sleep early or late night.😢 🫰🇵🇭 from philippines

    Where does one even find tart cherry juice? I didn't know it even existed. If you're going to say, a Health Food Store, those prices will be too high (most likely)

      Hi Renalyn, these studies included cow's milk, but oat milk or other plant milks can be used also. Hope that helps!

    Hello doctor.. My mother is on antidepressants.. She wants to quit it immediately.. And want to start melatonin tablets.. Please prescribe which melatonin tablets are best.. She takes serotina and petril currently as anti depressants & anti anxiety pills respectively

    So if taking meltonin for a long time can cause u to stop producing it natrually wouldnt the same happen when tart cherries

      You get precursors to melatonin in the foods such as tryptophan, it's different than taking the melatonin by itself, by taking the precursors - your body still makes melatonin when it needs to. Where as if you take melatonin by itself - it can cause negative feedback to your pineal gland and you wont secrete a hormone you already have bioavailable.

    Wait I been hearing out there that Kiwi inhibits the production of melanin which is connected to serotonin and melatonin so I am totally confused.

      While there is interaction between melatonin and melanin/melanocytes, melanin is synthesized through a different pathway than melatonin and serotonin. More specifically, melatonin is synthesized from tyrosine, whereas tryptophan is a precursor for serotonin and melatonin.

      Hi Amen, it's important to first figure out what is causing the sleep issues. Melatonin can be helpful in some cases like circadian rhythm disorders. We do have a video on melatonin as well which might be helpful.
