Based on the thousands of lab tests I have seen at my job, magnesium deficiency is way higher than 40% of the population. I would estimate it's at least 80% if not higher.

    Magnesium
    11 different types
    440 mg/day - males
    330 mg/day - females
Taking too much may cause diarrhoea
    1) Inorganic salts (like oxide): have more elemental magnesium but low absorption
    2) Organic salts (like citrate and glycinate): have low elemental magnesium but are more soluble and are better absorbed
    1) Glycinate - key one
Chelated with the amino acid glycine
    For anxiety
    Helps with relaxation
    Promotes sleep
    2) Malate
    Bound to malic acid
    Helps body create ATP
    For pain, soreness, toxicity
    3) Citrate - key one
    All-round, popular
    Good absorption
Helps with anxiety and depression and insomnia and muscle relaxation and blood pressure
    Gut
    4) Taurate
    For cardiovascular function
For circulation and blood pressure and fatigue
Taurine+magnesium regulate blood sugar and blood pressure
    5) L threonate
    Deals with neurological problems
    Chelated
    Crosses blood brain barrier
    Sleep
    Memory and focus

People always ask why instead of how much. There is a whole lot of money in societies bad health. Those in control invest in the fix first then cause the problem then sell for huge profit. The biggest example is in war. We have to use this info and look out for ourselves. I never ask why, I now ask how much? Or just say Got paid $50 million - then I can say - I would’ve probably done it for half that amount. Don’t ask why just find out who is profiting and expose them by name for the whole world to see.

I take Calm magnesium glycinate powder (flavored) every night before going to bed. I dissolve it in water and drink it right down. I understand that this form of magnesium is more readily asimable. I suffer muscle spasms that start in and around my jaw and progress across my scalp and down my neck and shoulders and back as a result of a severe case of TMJD. The pain also keeps me awake. With magnesium, the muscle spasms are calmed down and I'm able to relax and sleep. I also found out that nasal polyps are a result of low magnesium.
I remember reading about people who used to "take the waters" a long time ago. They either drink or soaked in naturally occurring hot springs or mineral waters. Many people claimed to have had great benefits from those waters. I used to think that it was their imagination but now I know that they were probably drinking or soaking in minerals that they were depleted of, such as magnesium, and there was good reason for them to feel better.
Magnesium all by itself tastes awful and so did most of those waters that they drank and bathed in for their health.

Any form of magnesium will give you diarrhea because it does so by magnesium pulling water out of your body and into your colon. It’s just a matter of dosage and the health of your colon. But here's my opinion as a medical student; you don't have to do this much experiment or anything... Just go with magnesium glycinate. It doesn't upset your stomach and gets absorbed very well. At any given nutritional condition you'll start seeing visible improvement in your energy level, sleep, muscle strength just after taking it 5-7 days consecutively.
It doesn't give you loose motion like other magnesium variants yet it helps with the bowel movement.

@@prakashdesai534 You can take whole life; it is just a mineral. Too much of anything can offset balance, such as calcium vs magnesium. Both of those have effects on many things, including heart and bowels. My suggestion is take a magnesium supplement up to around 400mg a day, and do not supplement calcium; get that from diet. I find 200mg magnesium a day is fine for me.

This is my first time speaking to you. I’m so sorry to hear about your wife. I too had a stroke at 50 years old. Had a blockage in my middle cerebral artery left side affected my right brain face and some mobility, but not much we went to a doctor that did therapy right away, this removed the blockage has shown by the MRIs I had they gave me 3 to 5 years with the blockage in there that was in 2004 and I’m still here. My speech was slow at first, but I can speak now pretty well I just mix things up sometimes, so that you had a hyperbaric oxygen chamber asked for that, but they would not give it to me. Doctors said it was for diabetics and my insurance would not uncover it. I had read that it would help, though there is also a doctor in Florida who discovered something with injections into the spine that helps repair stroke damage. I signed up for your page so when I find it again, I will send the name, I did not qualify because I did not have enough damage . The therapy the removed my clot was chelation therapy. mainstream medical uses it for removing lead from the body had to go to an alternative medicine doctor paid out-of-pocket, but it worked.

      What I found online
Because of its abundance in the body, its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, and its role in energy production, taurine has been studied for its potential role in managing various clinical conditions and improving exercise performance.
      May fight diabetes
Taurine’s antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties may enhance insulin sensitivity, thereby reducing the risk of type 2 diabetes or improving blood sugar management in those with the condition (6Trusted Source, 7Trusted Source, 8Trusted Source).
Indeed, one study found that people with diabetes have a 25% lower concentration of taurine than those without diabetes. This suggests that taurine may have a role in diabetes management (8Trusted Source).

So from what Ive seen food is getting less nutritious and that’s because we are over farming so we need to require that soil have a certain levels of minerals. If we enrich the source which is farm soil, everyone will benefit. We should enrich it naturally with manure or other natural mechanisms.

Interesting. I'm wary of supplements for that exact reason. Anything strong enough to help you is strong enough to hurt you. And who knows what's actually in the supplement or how it was sourced? Too many unknowns.

@@TerriblePerfection Absolutely. He told me that minerals like magnesium, potassium and calcium are synergistic in nature. If manufacturers isolated one of them, the body will be in imbalance in time. So I am wary of taking single supplements. Better take a multivitamin with a little bit of everything in it.

I am 64 and struggling financially with angina (which is scary) right now but I would never wrote what you wrote. Why? Because you are giving up on yourself and in the process giving up your personal power going forward. Yes, its hard, yes it’s scary with the velocity of changes today. But, you have lived through a lot and had your successes. Encourage yourself with Psalms, surround yourself with positive people if you tend to isolate (I do) and remember by not aiming for an outcome you want, you are correspondingly complicit in creating and outcome you say you DON'T want. I say this with all blessings Peter.

But we , these people deserve the same right to health longevity and prevention. But instead of vitamin and infusions, we put food on the table with these funds..

I found a “Doctor’s Best” Lysinate-Glycinate that looks good. Anyone have experience with this one? It sure is confusing trying to figure out which to take.
