Playa Bonita, 4-5 Ft water,
Light Action Rod 6', 8 lb Fluro leader, 10 lb braided mainline
Bait: Shrimp, Circle hook size 8, split shot on leader.
Fish caught: Trigger Fish (Cochito) Translate: Piggy/Pig

Trigers are great fighters and in my estimation the best eating. If fileted corectly there are no bones.

Are they pretty easy to catch anywhere on the beach?

Hello! Yes! I have had luck at varios parts of the beach when when the tide is changing (Usually sunrise or evening)!
Key thing to remember if fishing from shore you have to be far away from swimmers, etc. (I think it is like 50 ft or something)

I am unsure, I believe you need a license if fishing from a boat for sure.
I haven’t been asked for one when I have surf fished or fished from a pier.

what did you use for bait? and size of hook and line?

Squid as bait, small circle hook size 2 or 3 10 lb fluro with split shots for weights
