How to Make Easy Apple Dumplings

- These easy apple dumplings will be a hit for any gathering. Made with Pillsberry Croissant rolls make this delicious dessert a fast and easy one to throw together and enjoy. Top with a little ice cream and your family will be asking for more! Enjoy
Ingredients:
2 unpeeled apples
2 tubes crescent rolls
1 cup butter 2 sticks
1 cup sugar
12 oz Mountain Dew
Cinnamon
Nutmeg
Directions:
Core apples and slice each apple into 8 wedges.
Wrap each apple quarter in a crescent roll and place each dumpling in a buttered baking dish. 9×12
In a small pot, melt butter over medium heat. Add sugar and stir but keep sugar and butter mixture grainy. . Pour butter sauce over dumplings completely covering each one.
Pour Mountain Dew around the edges of the pan but not on top to the dumplings.
Sprinkle a pinch of nutmeg on top and a few shakes of cinnamon.
Bake at 350˚ for 35 minutes or until dumplings become golden brown.
Serve with a scoop of ice cream, a dollop of whipped cream, nuts and/or caramel sauce to each plate as desired.
