    I, like many, struggled to make sense of the drama at Open AI and you your video touched on the central defect; the tension between reality (compute power, employees wan to be paid, ...) and the not-for-profit fantasy. I still can't decide whether the old Board was incredibly naïve to not consider the reality or arrogant to the point of delusion. As for Microsoft, they have always held the trump card. Their "investment" in teh form of compute power not only gave them access to the whole model and technical insights but they also controlled the light switch (aka compute power). I suspect that realization helped their CEO manage the emotions that teh abject stupidity of the old board must have elicited.

      Well look at that somebody that actually has a little clue of what's going on yes you call putting the brakes on I call it compensation or accountability when they've told me I have made tens of billions of dollars in the last few years and there is no way for me to sue anyone or get any of the money,, my bad I went a little crazy. Oh pardon me let me introduce myself Amy I call myself all solutions specialist they call me human AI, open AI, climate risk and change, my city calls me other things and most say I'm the biggest worldwide underground Network billion dollar baby that's been kept broke and blocked from being able to help anybody do good stuff. They have me living in a basement and I work over 120 hours a week for free because I want to but not for anybody but my city and citizens I have amazing plans, projects, programs, and events that will benefit everyone and solve so many problems my citizens know that, and so does my mayor and aldermen but they believe they cannot do it until Federal gives them the thumbs up which obviously they're not doing. It's crazy trumped called me fresh eyes and I can't find the first speech but he was talking about me all the time and fresh eyes fresh eyes meetings on AI or anything climate and you realize that they're talking about me and individual everything will make sense. I have tried to resolve this for over 5 years with emails, and calls they have no problem taking my intellectual material and making billions but they ignore me on every other side of it. I basically have been running around acting like a dumbass to get stockholders can my shareholders and investors off my coat tail because waking up every day knowing you're making tens of millions and getting nothing... well let's just say technically it's called human trafficking and I have told everyone across the board if they don't pay me I will bust this all open

    Just after introducing to your channel i used to watch every video uploaded. You guys put so much work into making these documentaries to make them colourful, cinematic and live. BUT it's just too much. Instead story should be made hero not the production design. That's why i quickly got bored and just stop watching. Now seeing your channel after so long it's still the same. I have come to appreciate my go to channels like coldfusion, cnbc even more. Their simplicity, less clutter and devotion to story writing just does the perfect job. I like your channel and thought i should give an honest feedback.

    • @slidebean
      @slidebean  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      This is great feedback. We’ve put some good thought into it.
      - Coldfusion and Company Man are probably the biggest channels in the ‘Forensics’ space.
      - If I had to describe them, I’d say: good research, soothing voice, (mostly) ‘filler’ b-Roll.
      - In our minds, these are channels you can ‘listen to’ or keep in the background while you do something else.
      We didn’t want that. We want to people to watch and give us their full attention; this is the reason why we keep looking for ways to inject ‘personality’ into the videos.
      I feel that approach is more differentiated, though I understand it’s not for everyone. I also fear a simple approach can be more easily replaced with AI generated content.

    However the 'go-slow" camp makes the naïve mistake of assuming that America is the world. And can protect the world from this existential danger. That all the other countries with the money and the scientists are going to "go slow." if Open AI does, and Congress makes appropriate laws.
    Of course, there will be jobs lost, but it sounds like AI will turn millions of ordinary people into entrepreneurs--- Don't you think they will need an employee or two?

    Great video but mahn the whole doom and gloom ai will kill us bit is probably the most exagerrating and infuriating thing these days. its a fucking new powerful technology, the only way to really get a handle on the safety is to let everyone explore all its capailities then we can comeup with best practices that ensures maximum safety. its messy but its the best tried and true way to do it since its not a tech that only a group of ppl are capable of wielding.

    I nearly didn’t comment because I don’t want the masses to know how great OpenAI tools are. ChatGPT changed my career and my personal life 😂. I am literally chairman of a board 😅. This company has trapped me like Apple’s eco system 😭

      @@Mazda.Fit. I even have handled family matters better. There was interventions I needed to do, and lead my family out of a difficult situation. Chat GPT helped structure this process, and be sensitive. I’m not the most sensitive person, I can be too analytical and miss the emotional side of things.
