The ending on this race was super close, like under a minute close. And when you consider Korone had like a 20-30 minute lead on her, Okayu really brought it back in the last two levels and the boss fight. Korone still won, but only just barely. If Okayu had kept pace with Korone in the final stretch she would have beaten her by 20 or so minutes (not that either of them were treating it as a serious competition or anything). So many great moments from this race and lots of wholesome Te te at the end during the credits roll.
Yeah, if Okayu hadn't gone afk somewhere in the middle she probably would have won this easily. She technically even beat K. rool first, she just died with his last canon shot which is mega sad, would have made for an awesome comeback storyline. That's why I don't want a batsu for either of them.

This reminds me of Korone being stuck during the skull minecart race section, and Okayu's voice finally letting her win. There were SO many great moments from their streams (and the ending was SO CLOSE).

I never realized that DKC2 was that short of a game.

Like we're talking 4-10 milliseconds per year for around the higher range of estimates and peak is around mid-twenties. that means even if we doubled that rate and say a decline of 20 milliseconds per year baring any other life circumstances it would have to take 25 years to lose even half a second of reaction time as far as gaming is concerened. Now there could be all kinds of other factors at play, long term/day to day/ hour to hour, etc that effects your reaction time at any given minute, but aging in and of itself really isn't a big part of it.

Idiots like to say that Nintendo games are for kids, but they easily forget that the phrase "Nintendo Hard" exists for a very good reason - their games are easy to pick up but take dedication to master, something that is nearly impossible to get from most major titles of today (if you don't play Nintendo games today, you need to be in the indie scene if you want games like that).
