The fact that there are actually still viewers from 5 years ago AND she remembers them is crazy. I wouldn’t blame her, doing something for 5 years and seeing people stick with you throughout it all would make me fall too lmao
I'm gonna be honest, man. If i was a streamer and some people are constantly giving me akasupas, especially put some interesting messages in it, of course i would easily notice and remember them. Let alone doing it for 5 years.
Also if they put their real name on their youtube account, i definetely would stalk them.
Even when you're not the streamer who often reads through a bunch of names and supas, and just a viewer, its easy to notice the people that always supa the most and appear at the top of the twitter replies. So I imagine its even easier for the streamers to notice and become familiar with them.
you either need to have a pretty bad memory or care very little to not recognize someone after speaking out their name as they send you significant sums of money again and again throughout five years

Also have to remember that Okayu joined hololive before it was a given that they would have 100k+ subscribers on day one. She started at the ground level like all the members before her slowly building up steam as she went. So she organically grew over time so those names from her debut that stuck around were a lot more prominent as her chat wasn't scrolling too fast to read back then.

I have been a member to Okayu for some time now and this explains why I have felt like she was either getting bolder, or simply more comfortable, as the years went on.
Probably both.
I remember her saying she didn't think her voice was right for the job, but enough people convinced her that it's absolutely perfect.

Ao picked her character design well. She really has the social dexterity to fit into any dynamic
i don't think thats how it works though. last i recall its holopro commissions one or more artists to make the models first then they find the talents to fit those models the talents CAN request small minor changes to the model but nothing too big. so its more Cover chose well when picking the talent behind Ao-kun
@dawnseeker176 that seems like it'd be more of a pain than the other way around though. I mean just think about fuwamoco, would they really have designed twins for a 2 person channel and then gone out specifically to find a duo and miraculously stumble on actual twins? Or would it make more sense that they liked the twins and had someone draw up a design to fit their personalities
I would assume neither of you are entirely wrong, most likely Cover either has an idea for the model and picks someone who fits the idea best, modifies the base to more accurately match the personality/voice they chose and go from there, or they build the idea around the chosen auditioners in unique circumstances (which was most likely the case for FuwaMoco, but I'm not ruling out the possibility Cover wanted a "sisters" type thing and got lucky with FuwaMoco)
