and Synapse always shows it's dedicated GPU, doesn't matter whether you enable Optimus through BIOS or dedicated GPU :) I'm sad this device doesn't have Advanced Optimus at this price point. Moreover, my unit has annoying coil whine. Need to turn but perhaps I'll buy it again if they sort out the problems.

This is great, but what I'd really like to see is a comparison of the Zephyrus G14 different versions. It'd be fascinating to see how the 4060, 4070, 4080, and 4090 compare when they're all constrained by the same chassis.

I was lucky to get a G14 4080 the 1 day it was available, and I like it. QHD+ Games are running at 5-8% less fps than the 4090 numbers I've seen in reviews and it's $800 less, much much faster than 4070 numbers. I think that's the sweet spot in terms of GPUs this generation, and I'm not surprised that Nvidia and the manufacturers did send only 4070 and 4090 to reviewers so nobody knows how much of a better deal is the 4080.
If you want to play 1080p I think the 4060 with a decent TGP is the best deal.

They put the wrong GPU for that price. Not only 4070 is a meh upgrade over 3070, but it also still has only 8GB of VRAM which makes it even more insulting considering the price. This is supposed to be a high-end experience for a high-end price and you get a mid-range GPU with entry-level VRAM capacity. You have a misunderstanding in regards to this generation's dynamic boost . The problem is that virtually there will be zero conditions in which either the 4070 class and below line of laptops will be able to power up to 140 watts of their advertised TDP in games. Nvidia has place a voltage limit at the curve in which the diminishing returns of performance per watt are at a set point. Dynamic boost has always worked the same way; you will always see a wattage of above 115 watts in games but if you are GPU bound, then you would be granted 140 watts. The controversy is that this is literally impossible to happen for the 4070 and below line of GPUs.

Im glad they solved so many problems of the last gen, but this laptop is way less appealing when comparing to the 4080 and 4090 equipped Asus Zephyrus g14 which is in similar price range. Sure the Blade has better build quality but the performance gap from 4080 onward is huge and Asus has an even bigger advantage with miniLED options.

I agree the 'copy and paste' keyboard is a shame, particularly since this year's version is a little thicker. I don't mind the weight (the materials will make it heavy, and it's better than a lighter but plastic chassis). I'm glad the display is 16:10 and also that it's offered with AMD processors. I also don't mind being capped at the 4070, and the price to go from 16gb to 32gb of RAM is very reasonable. USB 4 is also very welcomed and the fact that both usb c ports are the 4 spec is excellent. It's just, we've been complaining about this keyboard for awhile now. There's no excuse not to improve it after all this time. At the price, we shouldn't have to settle for anything subpar, and the fact is that Razer's keyboards are subpar.

Their biggest problem righ now is that, apart from the removable 2x sodimm, the G14 offers a far superior alternative for the same price. I previously had and returned the Asus G14 4080 model due to QA issues (which may have affected performance- the MSI Stealth 14 4060 laptop gave me better gaming performance!). There's no perfect machine out there, but having tried multiple new small form factor laptops this year, 4060 and 4070 seem to be where it's at for 13" and 14" laptops and the 4080 and 4090 that Asus crammed into the G14s seems pointless due to them being unable to use their full power and throttling.

I guess I don't get how you praise this laptop at all? It made some improvements over the 2022 Blade 14 sure, but it's a $2700 laptop that is beating the 3070ti Blade 14 by a small margin. The biggest issue is that the $1700 G14 basically does the same thing, while $2500 gets you the 4080 G14 that smokes the Blade 14. The higher model G14's also offer a superior mini-led panel. I love Razer and own a Blade 14 2022, but this pricing is insane. There isn't a single reason you should buy the Blade 14 over the G14, normally paying the $200-300 Razer tax was worth the build quality upgrade, but a $800 difference is a joke. At $2700 the Blade 14 is grouped with gaming laptops in an entirely different performance bracket.

    ... no, absolutely not !
I mean, don't spare them, and be hard on them ! Such a pricey laptop MUST be compared to the Macbook industry standard ! And if the webcam on this laptop is like crap, then you should say, that it is crap compared to the Macbook. The same goes for the speakers. IT IS CRAP, right? when compared to the sound coming out of all the Macbooks. It has "the same" price tag the Macbooks have - yet, it is pretty far from their quality level.
... RAZER needs to hear this. Perhaps then and only then, something is going to happen with their scandalously overpriced products, their mediocre quality, and the tragic customer support which is underlining all of it. You know, once I was a passionate customer of Razer, while now I'm falling into the group of former Razer customers ...
... after that tragic 2022 Razer Blade 14, I was awaiting this year's model with great expectations.
... I have need of a small, portable, yet highly performing 14 inch laptop now. I checked the Razer Blade 14 reviews and because of what I've heard, I also decided to check the other brands. And after my thorough market analysis, I came to that decision to get the Zenbook 14 Pro and you may be asking why : well, because it is simply a better product.
... in my own personal head to head comparison, there are 9 pros and 9 cons for the Razer Blade 14, while there are 12 pros and 6 cons for the Zenbook.
