Might be the most realistic tattoo in a videogame. You can even see the raised skin like a irl tattoo.
Like a shitty irl tattoo. Seeing the lines raised on skin is poor work and scarring

If you look even closer, they also made the tattoo look detailed at first and then it spreads and turns greenish as ellie gets older

You don’t need to have a tattoo machine to get a tatoo. Just a needle and some ink and you set.

I found another one when you encounter the scars a second time and you have to go through that parking garage. Its when the other group climbs up the truck. I was alerted and hid under one of the trucks near them. They started talking about how Ellie appeared to not be one of the WLF. Luckily I managed to record it.

In the intro sequence where Joel gives her the guitar for the first time, she is wearing a bandage to heal the chemical burn she used to cover the original scar
And there is also a dialogue when u find a tattoo parlour run down obviously during the gameplay which u can hear her saying "ahh a real tattoo parlour" or something along those lines
I always overlooked it not knowing why she says it but now that this video reminds me that she has tattoo, that dialogue makes a whole lot of sense
putting ink on a gruesome scar like that must have hurt like hell

They burned the mark off with acid beforehand. So it would’ve just looked like a burn mark. Pretty easy to cover up in the world of the Last of Us if you ask me

Her and Cat dated so I would assume she told her the truth. Because at one point in the game (a flashback) we see her with a bandage on her arm meaning she burned it already. I think she may have burned it way before she met Cat so people wouldn’t ask questions.

I'd also like to say, when Joel shows Ellie the guitar and plays for her for the first time, Ellie has a bandage on her arm where her bite is. This is from the chemical burn she gave herself, or a way that she was hiding her mark from other people in Jackson.
I remember seeing my name my sister's name and my brother's name tattooed on my father's shoulder and it just started out of the names in cursive then the outline of a maple leaf surrounded them then colour was added in on the leaf just goes to show how much my father loves me❤ and my brother and sister

@@_theBeast when i played the first and second game, i made sure to look around to be sure there wasn't anything i missed, and im glad i didnt miss anything because like in the first game, there's still safes laying around to be open, you just need the code to the safe and get the loot,

its from Cat, her Ex Girlfriend. Its mentioned shortly in the game when Ellie and Dina talk about Cat and Dina says "I like the tattoo she gave you" :)
Ellie poured acid on her arm before getting the tattoo done to cover up the previous bite scar. Whoever did her tattoo would've just thought Ellie wanted to cover up an acid burn rather than a bite scar

This is the last of us part 2. There's around 3 flashbacks in the game which take place either 2-3 years before the main story is actually taking place.
During these flashbacks you can see how the tattoo progresses throughout the years.
