I bought exactly these two knives in 2019. I love both of them. Quality action and handling are perfect for me. Laconico is a great designer and Alliance delivers great quality

It is light weight, beautiful and has a great walk and talk. It can be opened and closed one handed. It is a traditional and comes with a pocket clip--not on the knife but on the sheath that is included. And it can be bought for $69 from White Mountain Knives.

Alliance Designs Laconico EZE
I briefly owned the Alliance Designs EZE w/micarta scales. First one had sizable gaps between the scales and the titanium and the second one had a bit of lockstick. I stupidly purchased it at full price and then took something of a bath when I sold it. I love Laconico stuff - I also own an MBK EZC, which is fantastic - but found the EZE to be more of a show piece than a user.
The mordax is my grail knife right now. Love how smooth it looks.

The SpydieSmock and the Civivi Damascus Elementum are my favorites of the year. I can't get the Smock out of my pocket for more than a day though.
You guys have the best varied collection i've seen, from the lower end up to full custom. It's awesome, much respect.👍🏼

Frankie, you love animals, and I think you really would like the Civivi Hooligan! Because it is small, and it has that really cool rattle snake skin micarta. Great slicer, hollow grind, thin behind the edge... My first Civivi/WE. And LOVE it! Thumbs up for your video!

The Angry Baby Bear is such a great knife. It has not left my pocket. Such great lines!
Nice choices! I love my Frankie and Bird SD Classic, but it doesn't get much pocket time. My favorite knife of 2019 is the Civivi McKenna. I like the Smock a lot, but it's a little too big for me to EDC. I also have the Microlith which I would love if I hadn't cut myself with twice when closing it. I hadn't cut myself with a pocket knife in years until the Microlith came along.

Wow, big love for the Laconico blades this year. I'm not sure if it came out in 2019, but I've been carrying his EWC design from Monterey Bay Knives a lot lately.

You guys should check out the Benchmade Bailout. Bought myself 1 for Christmas. It's pretty nice and that is a 2019 knife.
Gerber did surprise me this year. They've had some cool designs lately. I picked up their Highbrow model with a gift card. I can't explain why I like it so much, even though it has a decent amount of flaws. It at least feels like they're making an effort. They deserve a single soft pat on the back.

I used an asymmetrical tanto EDC before (ckrt m16) its not exactly a versatile edge. and every manufacturer seems to put the chisel grind on the same side(wrong side of the blade imo for right handers)
They seem to be more of a Nick Shabazz thing but I do want to see you guys check out a TRM Neutron or Atom

Somebody needs to start a company that makes custom scales for the Victorinox classics in which you could send them a digital photo they can print onto a custom scale or just sell the SD (or larger variant) whole with your printed custom design. So that in the same way Birdshot IV is excited about their design (because most wont care about someone else’s design) we can be stoked on having our custom designs on them. You could put a picture of your dog, cat, grandma or whatever. I’d start that company if I had the means to. Would anybody here be stoked to put their own custom design on a Victorinox?
I personally consider the P3LW and Para 3 two different knives. The G10 P3 is just a smaller PM2 but the LW was a direct response to the bugout.

I really had hoped for a copper Natrix for Christmas. Nary did I receive one. I’m glad to see it made it to the table.
I probably would have gone with the Mordax or the KUF, both are awesome knives. The button lock on the Mordax is my favorite action of all time. Hopefully they will make a smaller version someday.

For me how I carry it (tactiboob) they rust too easily and then when you have a few( cough cough hundred) knives it’s hard to upkeep them all and you find rust spots on them :( -Frankie

Some of their new stuff looks decent enough tbh. I really hope that they keep progressing like they have been, and in maybe 5 years or so be back with some decentish reputation.

When I saw the Medford booth at Blade Show West, I saw one of those little Medfords. I called it cute, and apparently Greg was right there and got visibly agitated...oops...but c'mon, that size Medford is like seeing a newborn cub compared to the rest of the family!

I really don't understand your picks guys.. I think you are looking at a knife from completely different perspective and neglect the most essential attributes (for me at least) like 1. Practicality 2. Efficiency 3. Materials than comes Fidget Factor and esthetic.. I guess everyone needs a knife for a different purpose and most of you doesn't even takes into account to use it when you decide to spend money on it.. But being the title "Best knives of 2019" I'd expect to see "The best knives not best toys"

That Fastball is nicer than every Civivi you have on that table. How much do they pay you to disappoint people when they go buy one thinking they’re getting quality on par with a $200+ knife? Civivi makes an average $50 knife. Nothing more, nothing less. The one I bought was worse than a Kershaw so I decided to buy another. Nope, still a cheap D2 knife. I’m so confused by all the Civivi talk. I mean I guess if you just flipped open your knives never used them and judged them on how pretty they are maybe but even then the action isn’t good
