Great video. I should point out that it remained silent on Lane Assist which, when used in conjonction with ACC, is a 'baby Travel Assist.' Lane Assist provides some steering wheel input, while ACC provides the acceleration-deceleration input. Thanks

Great primer for a new owner on how the assists work in reality. And how the buttons work to set up your desired configuration. Thanks Principle Bob.

    Nice job overall. Two suggestions.
    1) point out that you can tell the diff at a glance with Travel Assist/TA vs ACC are the highlighted lane lines. I've been in ACC unintentionally and thought I was in TA always good when enabling it to do a quick check.
    2) instead of tapping the sides of the steering wheel you should put a light 1 or 2 handed hold (again light). Why because if the car does something unexpected your subconscious will *immediately* pick that up since you *feel* it and it is different than what your background brain processing thinks should have been going on. I rest my arm on my leg or armrest and use 1 hand lightly holding the wheel.

When in Travel Assist, does the steering wheel accept a single hand touch to keep the system on? I only see you tapping the steering wheel with two hands. Thanks and very helpful video.

Just bought a 2022 Pro S. I have to work up the courage to engage travel assist and try it out. But it had better be able to deal with my hands on the steering wheel because no way am I driving it while repeatedly touching the wheel like that.

I use travel assist in my golf gte and it’s superb.
Do you know if you can upgrade to this if an ID5 doesn’t include it by default

Can you please test assisted lane change included in the travel assist with swarm data?

The screen at the left shows vehicles in front and at the side. Can you explain the purpose of this? I can see those cars, so I don't need the system to show that they are there. Is the display showing this for another reason? I think it would be better if it showed cars that are in my blind spot, rather than cars that I can already see. I'm confused about the purpose of this function.

In Europe you can not overtake another car from the right so ACC will not do so if it sees a car on the left. Car on the left is indicated to show that your speed is limited by it, not only by a car in the front. Rules may differ in your country.

The car can slow down, stop and hold. Why is there still no 1 pedal driving?

because its still unreliable, you cannot simply just put it and sleep, you have to take action when necessary.

I use only Travel Assist. Some people what to control the car and do not like the self stearing feature.

What about the travel assist temporarily off warning that keeps popping up every 10 seconds? I understand it is a major nightmare for many VW drivers, so what is the remedy?

I have had few issues with travel assist with my customers. I have eighty cars on the road and none have had this problem that I am aware of.
