    Jesus the kit is up to 479$ I just got a 75 ts125 with 128 original miles on it! Guy at work had it in storage for 20 years no spark replaced points and set timing I had spark but it ran for 5 minutes than I had no spark took apart the stator plate and it has no life left in it so I’m going to upgrade to the 12 volt system it should fix my issue i would assume it will run great!

      Oh my.. The price is more than the bike it self .. (at least for me) 😅

    I bought a powerdynamo too for my Yamaha Rd 50, thanks for the video! And the ichiban moto sticker was BAD ASS! 😃

    Best way to assess top dead center is to take two points before and after tdc at the same distance (5mm / 1/4") and then to take the middle. Much more accurate...

    Been waiting for someone to post a how to on this. How's the bike running? I have a 74 ts125 (same color) that I want to upgrade to 12v. Were you able to figure out why the ignition key didn't work? It would bother the heck out of me to run it like that. Btw, some tc125's have an oem engine kill switch on the throttle housing grip. I have one and am hoping it swaps over without a hassel. Thanks!

      @Gizmowerks  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah it needs a coil ground button to kill or a hidden coil grounding switch. It starts without a key too!
      Best of luck!

      I bought mine from JL lomas exhausts, as of this post, they still have them posted for sale on there webpage. Cheaper than $430.

    I have a 74 and 73 tc125. The 74 seems to have a bad stator and they are hard to find and expensive. I like the idea of converting to 12 volt. Do you have a part number and source for the turn signal relay? I ordered the Power D kit tonight. How long does it take to get it from Europe and were there any problems? Much appreciated. your help. SSB

    • @Gizmowerks
      @Gizmowerks  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I cant remember how long exactly but it was sooner than expected. Maybe 2-3 weeks? The relay could be any 2 wire 12v from auto parts store but I installed adjustable (5$) one from Ebay. It comes in handy if you change to LED lights so you can adjust speed of flash.
      Dont forget to replace your bulbs

    I have question on my 73 suzuki gt 185. Oil pump dosent seem to be working. I cracked the bleeder while ideling held the pump arm wide open oil trickled down. But the lines are full one small air bubble going to the left cylinder dosent move. I put premix in the tank trying to diagnose it correctly.

    • @Gizmowerks
      @Gizmowerks  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ill do a vid on that when I get a chance. The visual smoke from the pipes is generally a good indication of presence of oil. With the pump cam held wide open at idle for a few minutes. Your doubt will go away.
      Ive seen bubbles even in fuel lines before that dont seem to go away. One could probably crack the banjo line at the case to help rid it.
      Stick to your auto oil system, it puts oil right were you need it.

      @skoal022 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      bondfranklin ill crack the banjo bolt. Ive subscribe. Thanks a lot from kentucky.

    • @skoal022
      @skoal022 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      bondfranklin does the kickstarter work with the oil pump? Mine moves but does not turn the engine over, it springs back up but dosent catch or engage to turn the motor over.

    • @Gizmowerks
      @Gizmowerks  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Uh oh. Thats a primary start engine meaning it should kick over in a gear w/ clutch in or out. Was this bike formerly siezed from not running?

    • @skoal022
      @skoal022 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      bondfranklin they told me it was never stuck. I did ask that question. Would this most likey be why my oil pump is not working? It was in neutral when i tried it. The kicker was off when i bought it. I see why now. Lol

    Hi ! I have a 1973 Suzuki TC125 Prospector. Could you please tell me which powerdynamo I should order from Germany for the Suzuki that I have. Just want to make sure to order the good part.

    • @Gizmowerks
      @Gizmowerks  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Looks like the powerdynamo.biz is now run by Vape.eu
      I heard a rumor that their prices have significantly increased. I suggest contacting them from their website. I cant vouch for the fact the rv125, ts125, and tc125 all share similar if not the same engine. Sorry
      Can you compare OEM stator part numbers from a TS and TC? If they arent the same I would be surprised

    do i have to adjust the timing if i’m doing an oem installation?

    • @Gizmowerks
      @Gizmowerks  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      There is a keyway on oem rotor but best check timing when you are done.

    small 12v litium batt?

    • @Gizmowerks
      @Gizmowerks  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sure, it doesn't really need much because it generates more than it needs whilst it is running. just enough storage to make the headlight stay bright and the turn signal relay work.
      Don't want your headlight dim when you go slow

    How's the setup doing? Any problems with it? I was told that this setup saps a lot of power from these small engines, what is your opinion, did you notice a difference in power from stock setup. I'm on the fence on this one, was planning to go 12v but peops are saying to stay 6v and swap to leds. I won't convert if there is a big power loss. Thanks!

    • @Gizmowerks
      @Gizmowerks  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Pluses: Its lighter than stock flywheel. The set up simplifies wiring and one could eliminate the battery all together. You would be able to buy bulbs at the auto parts store. Never have to adjust it after set up.
      Neg: expensive and set up is unorthodox
      Not sure about power change due to the bike running poorly when it came into the shop.
