I have a Hyper Neogeo 64, there was a guy on eBay selling new old stock if it with a copy of Samurai Showdown and Fatal Fury for a tenner! Wish I bought more than one in hindsight now.

@@Yesterzine There were three models of the HNG64, one for racing, one for light guns and one for fighting games. Mine was the latter :( I think Luke Morse has a driving one on his TH-cam channel if you've ever seen his stuff before.
I'll raise my hand to say Ken K never gave us Sega fans anything other than sadness :( Anywho, i do remember being hyped to see SNK's Hyper 64, only to think "is that it" when we were in a post VF3 and Scud Race world. Also, you've made me want to go back to Broken Sword for the first time in over 25 years
I collected EDGE for years, the best part of a Decade probably. I liked the premise of the Magazine...revuew gaming from a more mature angle. It didn't always hit the mark of course, but in general EDGE had a respectable reputation in Video Game journalism. The front covers were another highlight with each issue boasting a visually striking and quite often eye catching high quality finish. Good times. Cheers.
Pedant time: Technically, the GeForce wasn't the followup to the Riva. It went Riva, TNT, TNT2, GeForce. Once the TNT2 hit, the fat lady started singing for 3DFX.
Artistic licence on the "Technically Sonic 3D is a follow up to Sonic 1" basis? :) But yeah they somehow got to 5 voodoos before dying. Which is a shame, the Voodoo 5 was a beast of a card.

Oh god, the biot with the rally cars... it shows the legendary Mitsubishi Pajero,... Why legendary? Well, whilst it still exists in Japan under that name, in Spanish speaking countries they had to change its name to Montero (mountaineer), because Pajero means WANKER.

But honestly, there are more parts of modern gaming I don't like (live service, microtransactions, no physical versions, always online, overkill on patches, constant remakes and remasters, little difference between consoles, open world madness, less real arcade style games, no more light guns).
Very much in the camp of Broken Sword 1 was better before the directors cut. I don't mind the Nico content, I thought it was well done. but those portraits they added, oh they are bad.
It's still a shame to me they splatted the perfect beginning with it. Especially as she absolutely appears far enough in that a "1 day earlier" could have been done.
@@Yesterzine I guess it was there to try and get the older players back by letting them have new content from the start. even if it made more sense to put it in. a little bit later into the game.
