  • We take a marvelous Fall trip to Alaska's Alpine Tundra in search of caribou, moose or black bear. We hunted hard, enjoyed good food in our toasty tent with the dogs and walked many miles on the mountainous terrain. Although no animals was harvested, everlasting memories were made.

      Yes, people were actually created to experience living in nature. It's quite unnatural to live away from it.
      For people who always seem to be stressed out, it's good to spend a day alone, fishing or something... to be near some water, to relax, and take in all of the beauty and tranquility. It's healthy.

    Ariel. Way way back in 1975, I experienced the same feeling you had here. And it was profound. I was in the mountains of Colorado with my dog Jess. I had the opportunity to listen to complete silence, breathe in the scent of the woods, witness the brightest stars I’ve ever seen or ever will see. And I communed with something more powerful than me. And to this day (I’ll be 70), I’ve never really had such a powerful realization of my being and the beauty of what the world should be like than that few days when I was young. Thank you, darling lady, for your lovely insight. My favorite video to date. ❤️❤️

    I live in a big east coast city, working a big, hectic job. Camping and spending time in the mountains is my passion. The quietness and vastness of waking in the wilderness makes me feel complete. Somehow everything makes sense when that silence settles in.

      The vast majority of hunters follow the rules. Are you "City People"?

    • @MrWorldasmaya
      @MrWorldasmaya ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@richardfrank9317 Wha? Of course they do and if you do know a thing or two about hunting you'll know that people don't follow rules and they do cut corners FAR more often than they should.
      Whether it's out-of-season kills, or hedging when they put their tag on an animal, or road shoots, or a bit after sunset a shot leaves the barrel, or they see sign and they don't track the animal because they're lazy low-integrity hunters or cutting across some private acreage you don't have permission to be on in the back country but it makes your hike shorter etc etc etc. There's a reason that game wardens are the most dangerous law enforcement job in the USA. So before you condemn that person for giving them a compliment you should step back a bit and be honest that the community can do far better. And, if you're unfamiliar with any of those things on the short-list I provided than you have no real experience in this domain.
      I have too many stories to tell in which people did anything BUT what was "the right thing".

    I'm glad that you guys were safe out there. Was somewhat concerned for your dogs when you and Eric went hiking for food.😮❤ Was praying that they wouldn't get hurt by some snooping bear

    Glad the wolf didn't visit your camp. Great video. Sorry you didn't get a moose or black bear. Next hunting trip you'll have success. You both amaze me how you pack for these get-away trips. Amazing. The Alaska snow scenery was so beautiful.

    Congratulations on a wonderful experience. OMG....Ariel! The photography was smoking hot! You did such a fine job with everything, and what a cute whittle mouse that was! I know those slightly uncomfortable nights were oh so special with each other. I love having my dogs with me at night to. You two have no idea what a wonderful life you are leading. I am so proud of the both of you and all your accomplishments. Here is to hoping you still have some of that Everglades seasoning left to spice your hunt meat with! Happy upcoming Halloween.

    Beautiful scenery again!
    Alaska sure is spectaculair.
    I think it’s one of God’s masterpieces.
    As you said Ariel, there are no words for such marvelous things as the pure quietness, the beauty that we can not understand with our simple minds.
    It’s THAT greatness that we have been given from our marvelous Creator!

      I was there when I was 8, I think, but really want to go as an adult!! I'll never forget how beautiful Alaska is, and still remember at least most of what I enjoyed there, even at 56!! Hope you get to go and see!✌

    Thank you so much for sharing your camping/hunting adventures. Having lived in Alaska for almost 25 years, your experiences remind us of ours. We camped and hunted Canadian geese on the North Slope, shot ptarmigan on the way and made a stew from it. And you are so right about the quiet out there. So wonderful. Hope you have many more wonderful adventures in Alaska.😊

    It is amazing to see the landscape that Alaska has to offer. You always take us on an adventure and even though the weather is cold and snowy you are not giving up the hunt . I’m sure you are both exhausted from all the hikes you both did. Until your next video,take care and be safe. (Judy NB)🌲🇨🇦

    BRAKES: Probably mentioned already, but on inclines like that don't ride your brakes down - they will overheat and fail like they did for you. Put the Polaris in a lower gear and let the engine do the braking for you.
    Thanks for the great videos.

    • @cortburris9526
      @cortburris9526 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I could be mis-remembering it, but i thought the polaris rangers only had 2 gears, and the high gear was really only for paved roads.

    • @jesseperry7848
      @jesseperry7848 ปีที่แล้ว

      Could be. I've never owned one of these, but I would imagine a low range setting. Either way, relying on the brakes is obviously not working. They're out there alone - don't want them hurt. @@cortburris9526

    Thank you for respecting the hunting limits and being honest with what you are and arent able to hunt! I have heard too many horror stories of people over hunting/fishing and completly ruining the environment because of their selfish actions. Amazing content and I an always so excited to see new video from you guys!!!
