So this was my first cooking video. Hope you guys enjoyed it! If you did, it would make me so happy if you hit the subscribe button! I have tons of cooking videos coming up! See you in the next one! 😘
Great debut. You were ambitious by going for a portuguese culinary institution but acquited yourself very well. I'm honoured a dane, a scandinavian took interest in portuguese cuisine.
In Porto we use, SuperBook to make, the real deal, Francesinhas. SuperBook, is N1 selling beer in Portugal, and is made by Unicer, a Porto origin company.
Galicia.
Very nice, just came across your Chanel , I was born in Madeira but live in Australia since the age of 5 but I know where my heart is when it comes to food, especially food from home
I never wanted to try the francesinha but seeing how it's actually done is making me want to eat that! I like the piece of history before starting. Good job!
I heard the recipe was created by a man who had recently separated from his parnter, he was feeling down and used what he had around the house to make a sandwich and created the famous portugese sandwich which instantly cheered him up.
@@MrCoventry1986 Haha it could be. it would make sense. History says that it was invented by a chef called Daniel da Silva. He immigrated to France but returned to Alentejo where he was originally from. He created the Francesinha on a restaurant there but because it wasn't well received it didn't become famous until he moved to porto and worked on a restaurant there. :)
@@howsitcooking2478 still its nice to have a story behind the food 😁 quick question did you visit Caminha when you was both in minho? My partner was born in Viana de castelo but was raised in Caminha. We both live in England but often watch your videos and very much enjoy them. Keep up the good work.
Love your Recipe on this dish. I'm more of a Italian Cook and Latin etc. First time I ever ate Franchesina Portuguese restaurant and I was hooked. Now would I eat this twice a week? Lol That's a emergency room visit lol. Twice a year. Love This Recipe. ❤
You are such a natural, congratulations on your new channel! Some cooking channels can be so boring, already love your content. Nice pace, bright and fun! 👩🏼🍳💛🧡

I have re watched all your cooking videos and I am currently renovating my kitchen and its killing me!!! All I want to do is make everything!!!!! But I have no sink, no counter, no fridge lol. Still a month till I'll be able to get my hands dirty in the kitchen and our taste buds satisfied with these yummy meals!
Hi Sammy. Thank you so much 😊 oh not having a kitchen can be torture. I Remember when we moved to Lisbon we could use the kitchen for fifteen day and I was getting depressed 😅😅 but your suffering is real. How long have you been without it!
I’m missing Portugal soooo much! ❤️ Super recipe, I will definitely gonna try it for tomorrow’s dinner….. thank you for sharing it, looks really good! Greetings from Switzerland 🇨🇭 🇵🇹

Congratulations Amalie!! First for the cooking channel and secondly for that insanely good-looking Francesinha sandwich and sauce! I want one so much right now, haha!
Uma entrada com o pé direito! Very good, Amalie! And loved that you made your own twist to the recipe: it looks delicious. I like it more spicy, too. For God sake we took the spicy to India, we should eat it. 😜 And Joen is a professional taster, too.
Congratulation Amalie! Love this channel idea and you are definitely not only a foodie but a great cook as well! Haven't tasted it but I can see by your techniques you know your way around the kitchen!
Perfection!! Congratulations 🥳 on your new channel!! Lucky us to have you make us have all the saudades!! Parabéns Amalie 🥰 Camera guy is pretty good too 😉 and Lara was her usual cuteness
Super Bock it's the only thing we drink here!!! I've tried many francesinhas in my life but potatoes in the sauce its not a thing... All the rest looks just great, would love to try it!!!
yep, very happy to see you there ! not for the francesinhas because they are very bad for my body but expecting what comes next ; maybe your danish mixte with the portuguese, it will be very interesting because portuguese food almost the times is very bad for your health!!
Amalie, great job with the video. You are very natural and I like the little jokes. Lol I prefer Francesinhas with more rustic bread but that one looked amazing. Will try for sure. Thanks and best of luck. 🙌🏻🙌🏻
Interesting to see your personal twists! Love it 😊. Looks delicious 😉 You need a Vorwerck sponsorship. It will make your life way easy...the Francesinha sauce goes autonomous 🤩
Look forward to learning how to make Portuguese food with a twist. My partner had a francesinha last week here in Cape Town. He wants to know where's the egg
Fantastic video Amalie. I don’t eat red meat, at all… so I’ll never try this dish, however I’m very impressed! I did think that they have an egg as well.
The egg is optional and I guess most people love it but for me personally it’s just too much 😅 joen on the other hand loved it with a soft fried egg on top
well, you actually convinced me in having that hart attack waiting to happen sandwich or whatever that is. I am portuguese and every time I visited portugal, I would refuse to eat this, even though everyone swore that I'd like it. We'll… you convinced me. LOL - and by the way, you two have the best vlog ever Stay classy vlog. 🙂
This looks incredible Amelie!! This video has made me realise one thing. If there’s something Madeira is missing….besides me 😋 It’s the Stay Classy restaurant. Amelie being head chef in the kitchen and Joen front of house greeting everyone. 👍🏻😁

Francesinhas have always come across as being quite rich and stodgy, but after watching Amalie’s culinary wizardry, I think I’ve been converted!
Starving!
Hi, great recipe.
Just one suggestion, slice or chop the chilli, to be cooked, to release all its spice .
Keep up with the good work 👍
Oh wow looks very nice!! Can I order 2 please?🙂
Haha. You can make them. It's easy actually. But thank you so much
Super Bock it's the only thing we drink here!!! I've tried many francesinhas in my life but potatoes in the sauce its not a thing...

So you are branching out. Great job! I can't wait to see you make ALHEIRAS.
Amalie, great job with the video. You are very natural and I like the little jokes. Lol I prefer Francesinhas with more rustic bread but that one looked amazing. Will try for sure. Thanks and best of luck. 🙌🏻🙌🏻
Thanks 🙏 yeah I know a lot of people also use the thicker slices of bread. I like the thin ones 😅
OMG i love it mmmmm im gonna get one soon hopefully lol also super bock rocks
Interesting to see your personal twists! Love it 😊. Looks delicious 😉
You need a Vorwerck sponsorship. It will make your life way easy...the Francesinha sauce goes autonomous 🤩
Thanks, Helga! What is Vorwerck, haha?
@@howsitcooking2478 Vorwerk is the company that makes the cooking robot "Thermomix" or as they say in Portugal "bimby"
That looks crazy good!
Thanks 🙏 it was pretty freaking tasty too 😅
Look forward to learning how to make Portuguese food with a twist. My partner had a francesinha last week here in Cape Town. He wants to know where's the egg
Thank you! Well I dont east it with an egg. for me its just too much. But you can totally eat it with a nice sunny side up egg.
