By Odin's beard, this was awesome. Thanks for the shoutout too =] I only have 1 note, the IN-UNF does NOT come with a subwoofer, but rather a Bass Unit*. I like to emphesize this just to avoid confusion and have folks refrain from putting it on the floor or away from its designated spot. The bass unit is powerful enough but with an added subwoofer, its just another dimension of a level of power and clarity. Thank you good sir for another genuine and freaking FUN review =]
Hey Lev! Thanks for the correction! I’ll pin this comment and add a correction in the description. It’s hard not to call it a subwoofer when it feels like a 2.1 setup. Haha. Sorry for the slip! Thanks for making such wicked gear!
That was awesome, I have the lp6 mk1 and have been considering the mk2’s with the sub (the hiss on the mk1’s is killing me!). The clippys sound amazing , though it would have been nice to hear with the bypass engaged too. Another epic video 😎
Damn Ed! You’re right! I should have shown them bypassed as well! So sorry about that. All I can say is, bypassed has a hell of a lot less bass. Hahaha. But thanks so much for the comment!
Everything you say is 100% true. I have one of these strapped to a pair of Adams A8H's. The sound is incredible, and unless you want a sub the size of a refuse bin there is NOTHING to touch it. Period. 😎
Hey captain! The A7x monitors are very nice! I see they recommend Sub8 or Sub10 Mk 2 with those monitors. But honestly, unless I’m missing something, the depth and the crossover points (selectable) remain relatively the same between both brands. I do notice the wattage on the Adam subs are a bit lower than the Kali. I guess there’s only one way to find out! Haha.
Hahaha. I gas for everything! It’s seriously a game changer. I can’t believe how good this is. I tried removing it from my setup and I can’t live without it now!
I bought KALI Monitor 4 years back. OH MAN OH, what Freakin TOP QUALITY SOUND !!! I mean not just that its Neutral, but the SOUND IS SO FUKIN BEAUTIFUL. Hope to save and buy SUBWOOFER Soon :D
Agreed! And holy bottles of urine, does the the sub ever complete the sound! I hope you grab it soon! You’ll wonder how you were ever without it! Haha. Sorry. I hate making people spend money but I just love great things!
Hey thanks! And yes I do. it’s very powerful and also very adjustable. I couldn’t even imagine my setup without it. Be sure to test out how it won’t jump or vibrate yet everything around it will. It’s so cool.
I picked up a pair of Kalis Lp2 v2, using these only for listening to music and movies in my living room.. Im a bit afraid that if i buy this sub, it will go too low and will disturb the neighbors.. maybe i will add a filter.
Hahaha. You SHOULD be afraid. It’ll rumble the entire house. But likely, it has a knob that can turn it up or down. It reduces the rumble by a lot when you want it. I can’t stress just how wicked this sub is. It completes my studio.
Listened on Sennheiser HD 660S headphones. I could hear (or feel) the low frequency rumble with them. You intended to feature the subwoofers, but the video was also a great plug for the Pluggies. These little mics are on my wishlist. Thank you.
Hey! Yes, this subwoofer compliments any studio monitor setup. Kali Audio even stresses that fact a few times in the literature. I can definitely hear sub 80 even at very low volumes. It’s been the absolute best addition to my studio.
I watched this a couple weeks ago but didn't have time to comment, then forgot about it. My first introduction to subwoofers was going to see the movie "Earthquake" with "Sense-Surround." Yes, this is awesome. I do need to watch this review with headphones, but I've been needing a subwoofer for years, as well as a center speaker so that I can edit in 5.1 surround......just in time to be obsolete for 7.1. Do I need to become a Thuggee to get one of these?? Kali ma??
Hahahaha. I’m telling you. This sub is the best I’ve ever used for the money. It’s amazing. I fully recommend it. Even if you don’t have other Kali Audio speakers. And 7.1 is old. It’s Atmos now! Hahaha.
I've been looking for a subwoofer to use for my wife's digital organ, the lowest note on the organ pedals is a low C, which with a 16' organ stop is 32Hz. For a small living room this looks like it would definitely get the job done. The organ has a build in crossover when connecting a sub, so I'm guessing I'd put this on external mode?
Yes you’re right. This would work fabulously for that purpose. And as the lows reach down to 27Hz, this will suit your needs perfectly. I love mine. It changed everything.
@@TheRecordist Thw one with Studio Guy. Reminds me of my inner nerd 🤓 Cool video and sub btw. Will have to get on for my studio monitors. They’re Neumann btw 😂
I didn’t end up using any of it. I just wanted to see how much would build up. I couldn’t think of a way for everyone to hear how powerful this was. In the end, just the Omni mics were used. I even said that in the video I think.
Not strange at all. You know if you lived during the80's when this was very common, to put 2 small drivers in a small cabinett. Glad this is coming back again. 2 6,5 is similar cone area to one 13" woofer, and the cabinett can be half the size. Always wonder why this technique went away. in fact before that it was only "woofer" then when they put 2 drivers in one cabinett, usually change polarity on one driver So the cones play paralell (sorry but not sure how to explain in english) I hope you understand
@@Samuel_Osterback That's a very long time to be unaware of the difference between a drivers SD and its diameter. I suggest you educate yourself further. 2 x 8" drivers aren't even equivalent to a 12" but you somehow believe 2 x 6.5" is the same as a 13", hilarious.

@@kadiummusiccurious you went for kali sub with adams, and not just for the same brand. Looks kinda a best of both worlds scenario :)

Mr. Hood,
Love to grab me Sub but, my current monitors are Adam A7x
The advise I’ve received suggests matching the sub to the mains.
