@@ju1ceaudio oh nice, it would be cool to see how the two speakers are installed in reverse to each other which is the reason for this small magic box. I bought the Kali In-5 but unfortunately, it has a bad resonance.
(I wrote this for your HD6xx review, I have a question at the end :0) For the Sub bass overpowering and distortion in the HD 6xx, try enabling the safe monitoring option in sonarworks and increase your ststem volume or your amp volume. Does it still distort after doing this? I'm looking to get either these or dt 880, both with sonarworks for production, mixing and mastering. What would you recommend and why?
Hmm I honestly like both of the setup! I guess it depends on your room if it works well with a subwoofer. Thats tricky because not all people like the adam tweeter even though its improved so much.
@@ju1ceaudioI have fully treated room (12x15 feet). I didnt have a chance to listen the Kali system, but A77h as I remembered sounded very complete (punch, tonal balance, detail, image). On the other side, Kali system is 1k cheaper...
How does it compare to the ws 12 v2? I just had one in my setup( a b stock model) but I had to send it back to due a defect where it would cut out randomly. That thing ABSOLUTELY slapped when it was working though and unsure if I want to order another ws 12 v2 or maybe see if I can audition this little one or see what else is out there. I wonder if I would feel I am missing out on that little bit extra of low end extension the ws 12 gave.
I havent heard that one yet but i heard it does, dang that sucks but yeah I would try this one out bro. It might no slap super heard but the quaility is all there bro
I have this with some Yamaha HS4 s on a scarlett with XLR crossed at 80..... and its solid tight low bass .... Really good I leave it on all the time I also own the Adams T10 with Yamaha HS8 s in my basement but the Adams is a bit boomy and sounds sloppy .The Kali is far better .
Have one of these in my studio and I have to say it's superb, nothing negative to say about it all. Would love to know why you think the 5's are a better match to the sub than the 8's. I'm about to size up to the IN-8's. I feel I'm just pushing the 5's a bit too much. 😎
Since I posted I swapped my IN-5's for a pair of Adams A8H's. I was pushing the Kali's a little too hard for my liking in a fair sized room and the Adams where a much bigger jump up in performance than the IN-8's. As the Adams go down a lot further than the Kali's the 80hz crossover just didn't work for me, I was missing detail in the Adams that the sub wasn't showing. 60hz would have been better, like you say a simple variable crossover would make the WS-6.2 perfect! I've ended up using the onboard DSP on the Adams to add a low cut at about 65hz and then using an analyser adjusted the sub section of a Behringer crossover to cut off the sub lows just at the right point. I had to flip the polarity on the Behringer but now it sounds incredible. When you get it right the stereo imaging goes to another level which is another bonus of taking the subs out of your tops when working near walls. There really is nothing out there at this physical size that can get anywhere near this amazing Kali sub. 😎
@@ju1ceaudiohow does it compare to the SVS SB1000 which extends to 24hz. I'm thinking from all the details you gave about it seemingly blending into your monitors as if they're playing it and not hearing the box or any resonances makes me think it's better for mixing. Let me know if you've ever tested it!
Can you do a comparison with JBL LSR 310s too?
Yes sir!
Just saying this is way more linear and goes deeper
Other subs in this price range do have a foot switch bypass. The Presonus Eris Pro sub 10 for example
Hmm oh ok but im sure that sub is not very good compared to this one.
Have you had a chance to compare this to their larger subwoofer? The WS-12 V2
No but that one looks pretty beefy!
It would be nice to see whats inside this box.
Yeah its a very minimalistic box, Im recording the comparison right now so hopefully I can rip it open so stay tuned!

Yeah It would actually, The grills are not removable to my knowledge so it would have to be seen throught the amp plate.

Great production and very informative review for my fellow bedroom pros =]
Thank you sir!
This or the JBL LSR 310S for my 305p MKII?
This one forsure!
At last bro, I've been waiting for this review. Thank you so much! BTW, is this perfect to be paired with my HS8?
Yeah bro I would take it over the hs10 anyday!
@@ju1ceaudio Yeap, thankfully I did not buy that one along with my HS8.
Would you rather take this one or stay with the JBL LSR one?
Absolutely take the kali bro, Unless you just want something that slaps the take the jbl.
Hey Ju1ce Audio! How would you compare the two setups
1. Kali in8 + WS-6.2
2. Adam a77h
Thank you, cheers!

Why do you say you recommend IN5 with the sub, instead of the IN8s?
Only because they are massive on my desk! but if they fit on your i would go with the in-8s for more headroom

Nice man gonna do a lil sub comparison soon
Any thoughts if this sub will suit a 300 squarefeet room? I'm hesitant if it'll work or if I'd better go with the 10'' from presonus or krk.
Naw bro i had this in a small and then big room and it preformed hard in both. Best sub ive heard so far hands down.

The 8s are just to huge for my desk tbh. I havent used the 5s but i think they would do the job tbh

I Lp6v2 and the WS. The sub makes all the difference. Nice video.
