Im so happy you chose the TX1. the work you pump out with that baby is stellar, and super unexpected. Not because its you... because like, no one uses that thing.
I stuck around anyway, glad I did since all my friends have been sick of me always talking about how Baxter has been overlooked as Best Photography Dog for way too long. Glad he is finally being recognized.
Highly recommend trying tmax 100 as well. Super smooth tonal transitions and that low-key look you mentioned, but even sharper than 400 and a bit softer contrast. I used it for printing with my 6x9 negatives in the darkroom and it gives enlargements a similar feel to large format
I don't shoot color film anymore since Kodachrome 25 was discontinued. With one exception. Kodak Gold 200 is the cheapest 135mm film around in my country, by a significant margin. I use this film to test newly acquired and repaired old analog 35mm cameras, if they survived my repair attempt.
I can confidently say that my life will never be the same after discovering your channel. Time to marathon all your vids in all of its chaotic neutral glory :-)
T-Max 100 is up there as one of my all-time faves. I love T-Max 400 though because you can push it to 3200 like it's nothing. You should do a video on that.
Hi, im the guy who noticed you were in a random small town in Kansas that I live near on your IG story. Can't wait for the video from that trip to come out! Okay, back to the video I go.
I am quite pleased to have found your channel via the “algos.” I have been shooting film since the 70s and remember when the AE1 (one of your favorite cameras) came out. Love the sardonic humor / personality and your work as well. If you’re ever in NYC let me know. Beautiful photos and TH-cam content; thank you!
Well I did it. I finally took the plunge and sold my digital gear. I just wasn't using it anymore. My phone is more than good enough for everyday snapshots but any time I wanted to do some 'real' photography I reached for my Pentax MX. After 6 months I realised my digital stuff was just unused 35mm film and processing waiting to be bought. I feel more excited for photography now than I have done in maybe 15 years (that's when I sold my film stuff to buy my first digital camera). It's come full circle!
I also dig T-Max 400 a lot! But I am currently on a rampage with Foma Fomapan 400 and 200. That Stuff is really affordable here and removes the hesitation in shooting a little.
Dog! That's so insane having a best of 2021 in June! Feel upside down! And... Noone takes a fifteen minute bath room break. It's a full hour bubble bath tablet propped up with film photography TH-cam videos or Solo A Star Wars Movie and ice cold cola break!
i like my holga all of them have their individual quirks. Its an easy camera to shoot with but tape the back on that thing will fall off if you look at it wrong.
I don't care if it's sarcasm, don't you ever call yourself a mediocre photographer. Best photographer on TH-cam, and I wait for those insta posts like an 80s family impatiently waiting for the new star trek episode.
I like to travel light, so I have a mini tripod for my olympus m-1. Unfortunately when I shoot portrait it becomes unbalanced and tips over. Might have to take the L
Interesting comments about B&W vs. color. In my case, I realized that I'm much better at composition and shapes than at color. I kinda suck at composing with color. So I think I'll be on the same.boat as you.
I can’t get TMax 100 and 400 to work for people photos or anything else pretty much. That’s at box speed. I’m more of a Acros and Delta guy when I need super fine grain. TMax 3200’s amazeballs tho.
I will say that I am in the process of preparing a new video in case anyone was wondering….😏
@Random Thought thanks for the honesty…will do
Baxter's appearances:

Jason is the new mia
My photography favourite is getting 13 likes on my IG post and then crying in the bathtub
"I'm still processing them, both in Lightroom and emotionally"
I resemble this remark.

Wow, did not expect to see my channel on YOUR channel! I love you and your incredible dry wit, thank you for the shout out Jason!!! 🙏🏻🎞😊❤️📸
🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼⭐️⭐️⭐️
Really cool of Grainy Days to boost up new channels especially a female one !
As always, Baxter appearances = thumbs up
Guess I need to start flexing my dog in videos too :-)
Be careful. Number of appearances should be odd.
I think it is very cool of you to shout out a few other channels and photographers! great video as always dude, thanks for the inspiration!

u followed everyone, but you forgot to follow your dreams powerlurker
I respect that you're highlighting up and coming people!
I love Jason's humble nature. He's almost as humble and self-deprecating as Baxter. 🐕📸🐿️
3:19 really like the aspect ratio and that camera!
I'm happy the YT algo blessed me with a sarcastic film god
L bracket getting some well deserved attention as photo accessory of the decade. Much love from East Tennessee!
I stuck around anyway, glad I did since all my friends have been sick of me always talking about how Baxter has been overlooked as Best Photography Dog for way too long. Glad he is finally being recognized.
Bro, you're a legend. Glad to see you helping smaller channels ✊
You are the Kip Dynamite of analog photography
Really nice video man, and so cool to see your support for the small accounts out there.
Yay, love when your videos drop. Your deadpan humour is awesome and your photos are brilliant. A lot of inspiration there for me.
Highly recommend trying tmax 100 as well. Super smooth tonal transitions and that low-key look you mentioned, but even sharper than 400 and a bit softer contrast. I used it for printing with my 6x9 negatives in the darkroom and it gives enlargements a similar feel to large format
Thanks for introducing me to other great creative people. Keep making great content.
Nice to see you again, Baxter!
Not a film shooter, yet I don't miss any moment of this channel, the best of TH-cam!🙏🍻
3:45 stunning shot 🙌🏻
Very excited to watch more of your videos
Loved the change of vibe and angles in this one man! Great video!
I saw that black hasselblad body Jason
Me too! I thought I was seeing things!
You're basically the only TH-camr in history that flat out admits they need the validation 😂

there are a lot of photographers on the web. you are really in my favorites ..
Time to train Baxter in how to develop film with all of that backlog. Hop to it! Can’t wait to see.
Really good video. Interesting to get a compact glimpse into your thoughts
L-brackets! A secret tool I discovered this year, too. I don't ever want to go back to not having one :D
Love your videos! Wish I had your camera collection.
Your videos make me so happy. Thank you.
Thanks Jason
You have to get a good version of a holga and greatly shoot a lot with it to get a good look! It’s worth it once you find the sweet spot
i appreciate the sarcastic or blunt humor :-)
Jason never misses

Pro 400H is currently my Retrochrome. I feel this.
T-Max 100 is up there as one of my all-time faves. I love T-Max 400 though because you can push it to 3200 like it's nothing. You should do a video on that.

Yes another video by Baxter’s father 👌🏼
God, this, once again, was a damn comfortable video.
A beautifully crafted piece of TH-cam content.
"In Lightroom AND emotionally" hahahahaha I understand very well.
Another Great Video, Jason!

the hesitation - is why we shoot film.
Also Fomopan can suck balls with there quality control
Definitely watched this on a 15 min bathroom break.
Bambi makes me cry every time.
As always, great video! Kodak Tmax is such a great bnw film.
Dude I’m 1 minute in and your references made me subscribe 🤣
I immediately hit subscribe after your first sarcastic line
Photo of The Walking Dead's Norman Reedus 2:18 Really appreciating your recommendations. I'm seeking them all out.
Thanks for the video Jason....now to wait for your other half to post his on sync xD
Gotta love some sweet sweet T Pain Grain
oh to be given the grainydays shoutout
Jason, we need more videos. Just like you told Kyle, leave the drywall alone and go out and make more videos!
i had to pause this video for 30sec to LOL when you mentioned about TPain.
The T-pain reference is very timely

You gotta pump those numbers up, those are rookie numbers!!
Right up my alley 😂
Baxter is a legend.
Putting tmax400 on my list
If you have a 127 camera I'm pretty sure rereachrome 100 is pretty similar to the the fpp e400.
i like my holga all of them have their individual quirks. Its an easy camera to shoot with but tape the back on that thing will fall off if you look at it wrong.

Me encanta cada vez que subes un vídeo, me inspira a seguir tomando fotos. También te sigo para ver a Baxter :D
Jason, do you bulk roll film? Enjoy Kentmere 400 & T-Max 400 for deeper blacks.
who knew Ryan Reynolds was such a good photographer
New film camera spotted next to the contax?? 09:57 looks like a yashica
I like to travel light, so I have a mini tripod for my olympus m-1. Unfortunately when I shoot portrait it becomes unbalanced and tips over. Might have to take the L

"I think you just described every instagram and youtube photographer in one line..."
Y'all should check out Willy Sheepskin. Great film photographer straight outta SouthAfrica

Is that Hasselblad 500cm or something on the top of his shelf at 2:50
Hey Jason, love your work and your videos create equal measures of inspiration & existential crisis. What equipment would recommend for a newbie??
