- From the San Carlos Apache Tribe we would like to present the Geronimo Interagency Hotshot Crew 2018 Fire Season. Footage taken in different area's of the country along with our brother's and sister's battling these out of control wildfires nationwide. Please continue to keep the families of loved one's lost in these wildfire's in your prayers and pray for those who lost their belongings in the past wildfire's that were catastrophic to the nation. Please be safe this fire season and we will see you when the smoke clears. The Geronimo Interagency Hotshot Crew would like to thank you for all the support you had given to all the first responder's doing their job on or off the fireline and please continue to join the Wildland Firefighter Foundation, they have done an outstanding job for all the families during the 2018 fire season. Enjoy this short video we had made for the public and see you soon.
We do not own the rights to the music displayed in the video, all footage have been taken with hands free go pro device's to ensure tactical decisions made are safe and for use with our lessons learned for the crew.

Stay safe out there bud, this fire season is looking different with all the moisture in the areas that haven’t had this amount of rain fall, it’s making the season look like we’re going to be very busy. I had the biggest pleasure working along side a guy by the name of Wayne this season... words can’t describe. Great mentor great leader great firemen. I made a friend for life.

Wayne sounds like he made an impact on your life and made a good friend out of the experience this past year, that’s some good medicine to have while on the fireline throughout the fire season due to us always away on incidents with our families at home, we have to make the best of it. Enjoy your time off Angelo, enjoy the family, when the call goes out and when you need to respond, the friends, brothers and sisters you make on the fireline will be the only family you have to help throughout the fire season to bring you back to your family waiting for you at home. Best time ever was working for the bia up here in Washington through the job corps program tribal knowledge of fire use is amazing and to this day I carry the lessons they taught me much respect brothers

It’s been a long time bro and glad to hear from you again, yes I’m still dancing with fire and having a heck of a time with my all my brothers & sisters that motivate me through the program, we will continue to do our best to represent the tribe the best we can with all the hard work done here. I remember rangers taking off to fight fires while they supervised our trips in Colorado with the American hiking society when i was 16. I was star struck with them. Brave, a bit of crazy and physically fit they were everything i aspired to be. I ended up joining the military instead and retire in 9 months but i still dream of joining their ranks. Too busted up and worn out though. I will always admire and look up to their energy and courage. Amazing people. All of them

i want to become a hot shot very badly but o do not know what path to take. i’m fresh out of high school and a foreman as an arborist i’ve been running a chainsaw my whole life idk of that does anything to help qualify me. pleas help

I am from Russia, our country-poverty is normally inhabited only by representatives of the authorities. After coming of age, I plan to go to the U.S. and become a firefighter. And I also want to ask the question, do you remember Granite Mountain hotshots?
oh and i want to join a native american crew but there are no crew associated with my tribe.
You guys are one of my favorite shot Crews apart from my local FS hotshot crew in my personal opinion I think BIA shot crews are better than FS or any other shot Crews

Being apart of a shot crew is hard work and working with other shot crews makes all of us better at doing our job, our brothers and sisters in the FS and other BIA crews are very productive on the fire line but some work isn’t recognized, I’m certain they are some of the best shot crews to have on the fire line to stop a wave of fire running towards the public.
