This actually portrays the absolute monster that is big mom really well. It feels like a boss fight for Kid & Law. How she just goes through multiple stages throughout the fight, and Kid&Laws teamwork keeps her on the edge the whole time so neither side let's up as BM gets stronger and stronger until she falls into the magma to cap off this masterfully orchestrated fight.
Agreed. In the anime all the bonus scenes of everything else and trying to tell us what is going on makes it a lot worse. This animation is really great

Honestly yeah, don't get me wrong I love one peice, but some of the fight sequences are so messy I can't fully appreciate them, but this did it justice.

@@nineten9011 I would say dragon ball z is a lot better than both One piece and Naruto in terms of fight panels. So that would be a better comparison, but I am sure you noticed that in the second half of the Kaido fight with Luffy, the panelling and artwork was much better.

I finally understand why big Mom never used advanced conqueror haki. Because advanced conqueror haki probably drains stamina and only serves to increase damage (attack potency) against highly durable targets like Kaido, Page one and herself. Kid and law are too small and fast for her to land a proper blow. And their teamwork is magnificent since one distracts and another attacks. Big mom relies on her devil fruit in this case, so that she can be as versatile as them. As long as hera or napoleon lands a good attack on kid or law, she can take them out for good without advanced conqueror. Once kid and law use devil fruit awakening to bypass her durability easily, she easily lost her main advantage and started taking damage as kid and law take turns to inflict damage. Think of big mom as a hippo while kid and law are lions.
This makes sense, however I don't really see how Kidd's awakening bypasses her armament haki/durability. It was really emphasised how she's basically impenetrable during WCI, so I don't see how throwing more scrap metal at her would do more damage. I think Law was the one that actually made the most damage from the inside. But correct me if I'm wrong though.
@shtefangusan5464 People underestimate magnetism. If you have played with very strong magnets when young, you know how sharp and abrupt the magnetic pull is when acting upon other magnet or a magnetic object. This is in contrast to gravitational pull which is more subtle and consistent. There is a reason why electromagnetism is used in crane - to lift between 10 and 60 tonnes of object. Awakened kid assigned magnetism to Big mom and pinned down a freaking Yonko.

@@shtefangusan5464 Queen on his fight with Sanji says that his crushing attacks can bypass the strongest armament haki users. Do you know what Kidd said when fighting Kaido at the roof? "We know you've got tough skin but can it save you from being crushed to death!" Kidd's attacks negates durability.

This really shows how strong Big Mom was. It took Kidd and Law going full force to beat Big Mom and she still almost survived their final attack. However I don't think it really showed Big Mom's actual attacks very well, it gave a lot more attention to Law and Kidd's. Still super cool though!
She DID survive the final attack too. She got knocked into the magma pit while still conscious, kinda insane.
In the anime everything was shown soooo much slower
She didn't even die to their final attack either, and she wasn't using conquerors haki 😂

I feel that big mom is a very intelligent fighter. Sure she can immediately pull out advanced conqueror haki and win the fight straight away. But she wants to test the supernovas' skills against hers so she fights with devil fruit only. Because ultimately the true test of yonkos is how well he or she uses her abilities or haki better than everyone. If she lost to the supernovas skillwise, she does not deserve to be called yonko. Look at whitebeard and how skillful he used the gura gura no mi. If big mom were to fight luffy, i am sure she would pull out her advanced conqueror hax.
