Aren't Fat Bikes built for snow and sand? It would have been nice to include a part that plays to the strong suit of the Fat bike.

I was arguing with a colleague about my fatbike vs his road bike “uh my road bike is so much better end faster” until I challenged him on a course were we got to chose 10km each. He wasn’t up to the challenge and left walk over, discussion ended.
I live in the desert, and my 27.5+ bike with 3.0" gets stuck in the sand all the time. My fattire, on the other hand, rolls through almost anything!
Agreed, although I don't think the UK has much of either sand or snow.

Blake said it best at the end it doesn’t matter what bike wins it’s about getting out there and enjoying the ride. One thing though I love the Superman scientist. Keep up the good work and stay safe out there.

I had this internal argument myself but couldn't decide. That's probably how I ended up riding a 29x3.0 hardtail. So far it's taken everything I've thrown at it including "The Whole Enchilada" down in MOAB, UT. Hardtails all day everyday!
The blooper/behind the scenes on this one must be a comedy bit all in its own right!

my friend has a cruiser with those ridiculous wide plushy tires.. the chillest urban ride you could ask for. it gives the rider that 'monster truck' vibe plus the stopping power is just impressive. quite a confident fluffy stress free sort of riding.

Blake vs Blake is such a great concept that it almost doesn't matter what the subject is - you know you're in for some laughs.
That hard tail showed some serious chain slap on the downhill.
Super entertaining Blake! I too have a fatty in my quiver. I definitely recommend everyone to get one if they love riding bikes. They are quirky just as Blake states, but they are a load of fun and always bring a smile to my face; on pretty much any condition! About 15% slower everywhere but surprisingly fast downhill! You will surprise your friends with the rumble of the huge tires on the ground behind them! Silly fun actually! Plus you can have snow bike epics too. Very different. Don’t forget to pack the flask! Thanks Blake!

I watched the whole video just to hear the doc looking guy say GREAT SCOTT. Still not convinced I need a fatbike over my hardtail, even for Canada winters. Hardtail seems to serve me just as well in winter as a fatbike would.

Yer hard tile is probably a bit more nimble but no where near as much fun. That rumble of them big tyres drowns out that shitty motor sound of ebikes 👌

Cool video. Basically confirmed the fatty is not the built for flat out speed. I mainly ride it when I know I'm not going to be going fast, because the geometry works better for lower speeds where a slacker shreddy bike tends to feel floppy.
Music in this video was dope. Fatbike needed more air in the tires for summer riding I think
The real benefit to fat tyres just has to be the comfort riding down harder terrain where bumps and roots are just nullified.

I personally would love to see some progressive geo fat bikes with more than 100mm travel forks. I don't think there's much of a market for it but it sure would be cool. I want to shred in the summer and the snow. Great video BTW.
I'm riding a Pole Taiga with a 120mm Mastodon. Was thinking exactly the same. Pity Pole don't make it anymore.

13.2kg? That's about 8kg lighter than mine. But mine has a Rohloff hub, is Aluminium, has a pack rack and a saddle bag. I ride mine over winter in snow / mud, which is where it can't be beat. Also, the fat bike brings more smiles to me and other trail users than any other bike I own. Riding isn't always about going from A to B in the shortest time possible.
