Hey Bernhard Kerr! Well good to see you enjoy the ultimate grip that fat tire bikes provide! I run the maxxis fbr and fbf on my full suspension fat ebike! I ride a Bulls Monster E FS! You've got two front tires on that rig but maxxis do make a front and rear specific pair! Love your enthusiasm! Ride ride ride!
FBF can be run front or rear. Some companies spec FBF/FBF on their bikes. Scott for example on their Ransom. Rocket Mountain used to as well on their Susi Q
26 ain't dead! It's just bloody hard to find good tyres now.... Am building up a budget 07 yakuza to get back into biking at the moment and it's a struggle..
Love my fat bike! They’re a great addition to the fleet! Now you need to make it tubeless & get those tyres down to 5psi! You’ll drop almost a kg off the weight with no tubes & have even more ridiculous grip!
SsmAnyfeSt I use 5psi front 6psi rear, summer winter, sand, snow or trails and in the Surrey Hills where Bernard rides. And it feels great! Pumped up to 10psi just feels horrible. Granted I don’t (and never will be able to) shred as hard as Bernard. But my weight saving and extra traction point of going tubeless & running less pressure still stands.
@@jonboy1066 Yeah it sure feels a bit weird at the beginning but 5psi is just not enough if I corner hard in the summer but for general riding I guess it would be okay!
Fat bikes are awesome. I am using a Norco Bigfoot 2 2019 bike myself as my daily transportation. Those wheels are great for winter riding and never have to worry about pinch flats on potholes. Roads are in terrible shape around me and many of the potholes you can hide footballs in. The way those 4.9" tires feel when you ride on them is really nice, super stable, tons of grip, and more cushion. Shocks are not even needed which is great as I don't like doing shock maintenance. Since our lockdown started in march and has not lifted yet I have been working from home so now I go out a few times a week and ride outside the city away from people. I have been averaging ~60km per trip. Without riding to work every day I need to do something to keep in shape.
Turning and cornering is harder. Also accelerating those big wheels is harder. Fat gives way more stable feeling when riding. I have a lot of moments when wheel almost slipped on trail hitting some root or thing like that. But in last moment awesome grip saved me. On regular MTB I'd fall.
They can be lighter and quicker. I have 26x4.0 jumbo jims and they are light and fast. Getting the right psi is important. I have ridden my fatty agrressive it is a blast.
To me, loam is the moist dirt, from decomposed organic materiel, that has grip, but scatters and breaks up, with hard riding/shredding...found in woods and on moors....
I love my fatty, it is one of the funnest bikes I've ever owned and is surprisingly capable. I ride it one everything from jumps to the DH trails in Innerleithen, usually faster then most of the riders out there and definitely with a bigger smile. It's crazy though people still think they're stupid or only for fat guys in the snow?????? I just with someone would make a better fork. I would love a Fox 34 130mm !!!! I've got the Rockshox 32 120mm, it terrifies me with what I ask of it
Hopefully someone will start making full suspension fat bikes again. Both of the one's I've owned were stolen. Fully suspended fatties are amazing trail bikes, the stuff that's possible while riding them is unbelievable!
This bike is for sale on ebay. I have been considering buying it but already bought 4 new fat bikes this year. 🤦🏻♂️🤣🤣not sure how many I actually need lol
Recently just got into them myself few weeks back...not a lot i see rides em where im from, maybe not as popular. I seen maybe 1 or 2 in the last couple months. People kinda look at u weirdly riding one for some reason lol. I mean i ride it anywhere, i do 90% pavement most rides. Its mostly my main bike now i love it
The red Dolomite is not the same frame as the normal blue Dolomite th-cam.com/users/postUgkxTGiBQEtJDzdz-_LjtY9HyQZPzkg6s_L9 it seems to be a Hitch with Dolomite stickers and solid rims. This isn't an issue unless you are counting on the wider tire clearance of the original Dolomite. This can be hard to tell given the angle of the pics, especially on a smaller screen. The red version does have the welded seat lock of the newer Malus. If the red color is important and you're going to be doing the basic upgrades popularized on the biking forums and TH-cam; you would probably be better off buying a Hitch, getting the lighter wheels, and saving a little money. We ordered a blue and a red one and both of the bikes needed grease in the bottom brackets, hubs, and stems. No matter what, these are a great introduction to fat bikes and wrenching your own stuff at this price point.
If you haven’t rode a fatty you don’t understand, always puts a smile on my face. So much fun.
I hear that all the time. Never ridden one but just put a deposit down on one. Should be here in 4 weeks. Can't wait!
@@SeanAnthony2025 was it fun
@@musicismysaviour22yearsago he's off to the woods, a tent a bow and some materials to survive. When he's not hunting, he's riding
My mates got an electric fatbike and when we do the black trails it sounds like Im being followed by a defender on 8x32s

5psi is good on snow but not for summer, especially with him! lol

I understand that fatbikes are sick
But omg there was a daim foking lada🥰
That hub sounds sooooo dope!!!!!
Okay, 14:04 was good. Crazy kool......thumbs up!
Bernard: *Has his World Cup mechanic as a friend.....continues to build the bike himself* (that thing is insane by the way!!!!!!)
Standard 😂 Maybe the mechanic refuses to touch a fat bike?!
Damnit Berns you are making me want to buy Pivot!
Nicely. Some questions: what weight of this bike? ...and where you get 2107 ? 😉😀👍
Where can I get a pair of the maxxas minion fat tires cause I have a trek Farley 6 fat bike with downhill forks
I have a fat bike as well nice vid.
Bernard is such a cool dude! Keep shredding man👍🏻

test the sx whoops on it
😂😂
What's the difference between this and a mtb? Like the difference in feeling I guess is what I'm asking, is it smoother and easier to pedal or harder?
Much harder to pedal! The drag is insane on 4.8s especially at 5 to 8 psi
Turning and cornering is harder. Also accelerating those big wheels is harder.
Fat gives way more stable feeling when riding.

BK, how much air did you put in dem tires? I bet you'd have more fun with a lot less. You gotta make a fattie vid with Ed now!
Need to drop the tyre pressures to get the full Fat Bike experience 👍🏻
Yeah Kerr crazy one as always
Hey bernard try to lower the tire pressurr to get more grip and acts like its suspension
Yeah, terrible suspension.
It sounds like you ran over a bee hive on the fatty and they gave chase with that hub 😂😂
Damn that’s a lot of money
Nice bike
Can someone tell me WTF loam is??
To me, loam is the moist dirt, from decomposed organic materiel, that has grip, but scatters and breaks up, with hard riding/shredding...found in woods and on moors....
I can’t help but think of fat lez-vidaloo every time you said les fat
26 ain't dead!!! 👏🏻
Make those half the size, put them on a 24" bike and Rampage becomes a new world.
Who recommended to use the maxxis FBF tyre on the rear? Looks like it worked well? Awesome Vid as always 🤙🏻
I used FBF front and rear for a good while ( until I found some On*One floaters) loved them, FBF rolls better than a FBR I felt
the red trousers and leather belt tho 😳😤
Which Nike shoes is he wearing?
Sweet!!
I was wincing while the rim tape was being cut with that blade 🥴
What bar length do you like running?
Yerrrrr videos are 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Bernie, you need to end that endo/stoppie with 180, half cab out, ok? I know you can do it... Nice riding anywho!

Yup mind you anything would be better than my current bike
FAT BIKE INSIDE LINES VIDEO PLEASE! If the grip is really so good it would be sick to see you ride some chunky inside lines on those tires.

That looks so much fun..
you should of asked Sam Pilgrim to magic those tyres on to the rims for you

To much air in your tyres son.
