Great video as always! Just installed Prism on my Mac and it seems super easy to use. The only part I can’t seem to get working on Facebook correctly is the chat. I can see the comments fine but the “Write a comment” box is greyed out when live and won’t let me enter a comment. Any ideas?

Hey there! Can you show how to easily transfer OBS scenes/plugins from Windows to Mac? The only tutorials I found were on PC to PC.
I have a question. I have started using prism on my Macbook air since this video.... I love it...I do get a notice every-time I open the program..."At least 69 (58.0%) of frames dropped due to a drop in rendering performance. The stream may lag if the problem persists. Check if other programs are using system resources, delete unused sources, or lower the frame rate and resolution." I am using it primarily for recording for now but plan on streaming with it when I need it... My recordings have been fine...I lowered the bitrate to 5000, but no change...Am I missing something...Thanks
Make sure you are using an apple encoder and not X264
5:50 For those Gen X-ers like me who wonder how he opened that menu here, it's not a click or a double cick but a 'Control-Click' while pointing at the Scene 1 'bit'. So far so good though, thanks Mr. channel owner.
Any suggestions if both OBS and prism live studio can't find the prism lens. When i try to add the video capture device, the only option available is my Logitech camera. When run prism lens everything seems fine, its just not findable in the recording software..

Hi. Thanks for the tutorial, I’m an obs user (thanks to many of your videos), I was wondering if it’s worth making the switch, what real benefits apart from what you outlined in this video it would provide over obs. So maybe an idea for a new vid would be ‘Prism is better than obs for these 5,10 … reasons’ I’d like to see that one, thanks as always Michael.
Mike usually recommends Prism to new streamers as it is easier to get started with, and contains a lot of extra features that would otherwise require additional plugins for OBS.
But Prism does not yet support OBS plugins, and does not interface with things such as streamerbot which is why he still uses OBS to do his streams. And while Prism has made great strides in optimizing the software to run better than it used to, it still uses more system resources than OBS.
I don’t think he would advise that anyone who is comfortable with OBS move to Prism.
@@chancethetechie Prism fully supports the obs plug-in after upgrading to 4.0.0, including the mac version.

It'd be a big reason for me to go back to Prism! Also, if that's the case, is it therefore possible to just import everything from OBS at once (including all profile settings, plugins etc) into Prism without having to do it manually one by one?

What if you have an Android and not an iPhone? Also is it possible to stream whats on the phone screen?
I use prism on my phone to shoot a lot of my custom stories…Ive been trying to get them to have a preset section for my studio layouts🤧
You can create a collection for each layout.
@@MichaelFeyrerJr I was referring to the mobile version, which I use most of the time to create stories. I have a certain layout I wish I can save, for reuse😇

7:18 When I copy your cropping actions and then go to Preview Scaling and select 'Canvas Size (1920 x 1080)' (like you) I lose the top and bottom of my camera view. I'm studying what happens to your image here and you actually get a little MORE on top and bottom. I know I'm sweating the small stuff here but I'm new to this and want to get it right. Any idea what I'm doing wrong??
What are the differences between this and OBS? I’ve just downloaded Prism to compare to OBS and so far they look pretty much the same. I’m new to this so I don’t really know much about it (I’ve watched a lot of your OBS videos) - hoping to make tutorial videos for Excel so I’m trying to find the best software for that.
Prism has additional features built in like the text features, draw on screen features and a lot more.
I read the Prism Live utilizes less CPU and GPU compared to OBS

When I record anything on my screen like any audio/song in obs , after recording the audio quality is not same it sounds bad , how I fix the problem.
You can increase the Audio bitrate in the Output settings
Hello. Just started streaming about a month ago on FB.using my android phone. Upgraded to a cheap lav mic, then just got a much better mic set. I do have a MacBook air (M1) and plenty of dslr cameras . (Might even try out my osmo pocket 3. But I want to get started using a real streaming program to fb first, then maybe add YT some time soon. I'm starting from scratch, so if you have any beginner advice or tutorial, that would be awesome...

Add downloaded prison break on my computer and on my phone they don't want to record too good from the computer it freezes. And when I record something from my phone I can't get it to go to any of my apps. Need help do you understand how it works on the computer and the phone. And how to keep them from freezing and not working.
It’s been on Mac long enough for me to want to delete it waiting on Lens. Growing old waiting 😅

Unfortunately my Mac isn’t compatible for the type that prism released. It really sucks
same here , what was even the point of them doing this when half of us are having this issue i love prism but this is a big fail on their part
