@@MonteWeaverofficial we were just talking about this and the fedeverse……. Me and Heather thinks these social media platforms have ALWAYS been connected by data and mainly Google !
I assume you could build a portable 3 camera set up using NDI, a local Wi-Fi router/AP, hardwired Ethernet from router to MAC and keep all video on that "private" wi-fi network. THEN, use a local facility public Wi-Fi for the Internet connection to stream out from. Thoughts? This is about as simple as it gets for providing live event production. I know public/building wi-fi is no bueno sometimes - but just thinking about the concept before I lab it up. BTW, new sub here - thanks!
Absolutely. It’s a video I’ve wanted to demo for a while just never got to it. Thanks for subscribing. I’m actually taking a little break from the channel, hopefully I’ll be back by later on 2025
Cool I love these cameras. I wish they use the same sensor from the Tiny 2 I would dramatically improve the low performance. Other than that man they can do anything.
Good Point. OBSBOT has definitely done well with their recent camera releases. This one is much better than the original OBSBOT tail I owned back in 2020
the Image quality is so great man, The fact that the reviewer wasn't paid to promote the product adds credibility to the review. It sounds like a solid camera overal
The reviewer 🤣 that’s me 👋🏽 These companies need to pay us! They like to send us product and ask us for our opinion but the time, energy and production cost to make a video that people even won’t to watch is costly and most of the time, us as creators bare the cost.
Not sure how to answer that. That would be a great question to ask the OBSBOT team. I’d your cameras are on a network, there is essentially is no distance limit.

Ok, you got me interested in this set up. I have purchased my NDI license and ecam software. Setting and connecting is not easy as i thought. How can i get in touch with you to see how you set your system up. I am old school and the mind dont put 2 plus two to equal 4. Do you have a video to explain how to set up the system wirelessly like you did at marker 920 mins and 1104. Thanks Sgt and be bless. Proud of you, keep up the great work. God is blessing you. I have 3 Obsbot nail air, an ATEM mini pro, just got the pt-super joy-G1. Help a brother out. I am Out and Gone. Drive on Sgt, drive on.
I wish a could focus on this 100% of the time, but I just don't have the time capacity. I try to go live on Amazon for live demos when I can. I don't have any full complete setup videos because they take an extremely long time to setup, record, edit and make it understandable for the masses. Definitely follow me on Amazon for my upcoming live-streams, but i do apologize in advance if my schedule changes. urlgeni.us/amazon/monteweaverlive
I did see your cast on Amazon and again, proud of you, keep up the great work. I will follow and support you. We need more young men like you. I know your family are proud of you. You will see me in the future. I’m a disabled Veteran that been though a lot and will start doing photography and video from my wheelchair You will see me rise and influence others as you have done me. Proud of you
Great video…. Can I ask… can I use the Atem Mini Pro when I use NDI for wireless connection. Can the Atem mini Pro pickup the NDI IP address to get the footage from the different cameras? Thanks in advance 😊
@MichelHabraken so there is not “generally” about it. The ATEM is for physical HDMI connections. The ATEM doesn’t support wireless connections. So if you want to use wireless/NDI of the OBSBOT you wouldn’t need an ATEM or any physical switcher device at all. Essentially just eliminate the physical switcher in workflow.

It’s crazy how I was in instagram saw your post then went to TH-cam and you popped up …. The power of the social media network! Gonna check this out !
About time these algorithms started working 🤣

Thanks, Monte, for this video. It reaffirms my interest and belief that NDI is the way for me to go. And, congrats to you for taking the NDI leap! 😃
Awesome. When the weather warms up, my plan is to demo an NDI setup outdoors.

Interesting that it's compatible with ecam software. I wonder how it performs with other live streaming platforms. the camera seems amazing.
It's just simple plug and play and works with any platform.

#monteweaver what's purpose of the NDI board; control camera?
NDI allows for controlling devices over the network
What’s the range on the NDI system??
you’d only be limited by to the range of our network. I can access my NDI cameras from anywhere in the world by accessing my network
And is that the same for the control range to your ptz controller?
@Literally_Luttrell yes. Any device on your network
Thanks for the info.
What is the max distance to use these cameras?
Not sure how to answer that. That would be a great question to ask the OBSBOT team. I’d your cameras are on a network, there is essentially is no distance limit.

I’m looking for a camera that is PTZ for a 50+ feet shot. Would this one work for that. Would use with eCamm live and stream deck xl.
Your options would be any PTZ camera with optic zoom of 20x or 30x zoom

No. The ATEM mini does not work with NDI
@@MonteWeaverofficial does this mean, you can generally not work wireless with the Atem mini pro and the OBSBOT Tail air?

Can any 10g usbc to Ethernet adapter be used or is the adapter proprietary
I’m not sure. That would be a question to submit to OBSBOT directly. I’ve only tried their adapter.
That’s for the snappy reply!
Is the latency ok for wireless ndi?
Less than a second. Definitely noticeable on close up shots of speakers
If i buy the camera by itself do I still need an NDI license if I'm going to run them directly into OBS via NDI plugin?
yes, you need to purchase the license to unlock the NDI function on the camera
Do you pay extra for NDI?
Yes. $99 per unit.
Get to the point
