Haven't tried it since the virtual camera was integrated - used the add-on version during covid. My students always complained about how it worked over Zoom back in 2020. Will definitely look at it again.
Wow! One of your very best, Michael! Thanks so much for this deep dive! I hope to show this setup to a friend who teaches live and simultaneously streams his live PowerPoint slides, but he has a Kludgy Zoom setup with two or more people running around with cameras. This would be a perfect alternative, and as close to Classic TV Studio setup for CHEAP as can be! Yay!
Hi there, Thank you so much for the tutorial, very helpful and clear ! I 'm using OBS Studio with three Obsbot Tail Air cameras connected via NDI over WiFi. I've been trying to adjust the blur effect through the Obsbot Center software, but I'm noticing that the blur settings are not being applied when I switch back to OBS Studio. Do you have any idea why this might be happening or how I can ensure the blur effect settings carry over to OBS Studio? Thanks for your help!
Would love to use this camera for storm chasing. Would it be possible to have it setup on top of my car and connect to my computer at home running OBS while still being able to control the camera with the remote in the car?
Hi Michael, great content as ever and the setup is full of creativity! But(!) I wondering the quality of the first cam, the front one: It looks like 1) over exposed, 2) a bit like fisheye and 3) different to the colors comparing to the other two. I hope this is only setting? And is it possible to change the speed of the cam movement? Maybe ease in / ease out i.e.? Thanks lot and greetings from Germany
All the cameras are identical. The only different camera was my studio camera. The difference are all in the lighting which was set up for my main camera. Just like every other camera this will have the biggest effect. Because of the complexity of the video I didn’t spend any time adjusting those settings and focused on the overall setup. The quality on these cameras is quite good. Especially in areas that aren’t particularly lit well for cameras like outdoors, concerts, and churches. They are also adjustable for pretty much any lighting setup. I just didn’t spend the time to do it for this video.
Mike I love your videos and you are an OBS expert. I have a question. Elgato Camlink 4k only outputs 1080p 60FPS. if i input the video at 60fps BUT then go into settings/video/common FPS and change THAT to 30 will my live stream output be 30fps or still 60fps? Thank you.
QUESTION: Can you use the record source plugin to record each OBS Bot camera as an individual source inside OBS? If so, this would give you the ability to record on micro SD card for each camera, local file for each camera and your livestream recording. Would love to know before I shell out a few grand from a couple setups of these new OBS Bot additions. Thanks for the review and stellar content, as always!
There is a way to do it where the cameras are active in every scene but not visable.they have to be in the scene to record them of course but the scene includes things that are off the preview window
@@MichaelFeyrerJr Oh good! Whew. Seeing that extra $99 threw me off when I went to use NDI. I'll never understand why we have to pay to use a free protocol. It feels the same as paying to use the SDI slot on my monitor.
Disappointed you don't mention the price of these cameras, as they are not budget friendly. To get three at $500 each? No way paying 1,500 for a wireless 3-camera set up. Can do the same with some extra webcams or connected cameras at hand, or even with one's phone/tablets.
This was suposed to be a second video that got accedentally released today. That video would have outlined all those things like price and use cases. HOWEVER it is titled the ultimate multicamera setup. Not the budget muticamera setup. For certain creators filming this sort of content, $1500 would save them tens of thousands of dollars on camera operators, cables, and editing.
Thus far, this has been the most useful video on the Tail Air I've found! Thanks!
Glad to help.
thanks again bro!!! always nice work on OBS UNIVERSE
Thanks again!
Damn, these cams have been added to my wishlist, they do about everything I could want!
they are awesome.

Hopefully its much improved
obs bot looking like hard work to get up and running you make it easy peasy
It takes some time to set it up the first time. After that is really easy.
Thanks sir u save me a lot of time and energy for looking for tutorials about the tail 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

this is great as ever, thank you. Could you make a video on managing chat whilst streaming on X? I need some wise guidance!
Awesome!! And can you also use the streamdeck for all presets?

Awesome video. Is it possible to integrate a mobile into the wireless setup? Thinking of a party setup with a roaming mobile for instance
Excellent video... very tempting..😂.. already using the Obsbot Tiny 4k...awesome....
Good choice
I would use these for My plane Spotting interesting!
Love the content you upload every time. Can we do all this using mobile phone camera instead of having different cameras?
Sure. there are lots of ways to get a mobile camera into OBS.
nice!
Thanks!
NDI license not included in purchase in Tail air. It is a huge extra cost not mentioned. $100 per camera.
I use 8 cameras with an ATEM Extreme ISO Switcher. It’s great with OBS.
Would love to use this camera for storm chasing. Would it be possible to have it setup on top of my car and connect to my computer at home running OBS while still being able to control the camera with the remote in the car?
i dont think your network would reach that far. Also while it is a durable camera its probably not gonna survive heavy rain or wind like a storm.
Can the PTZ plugin in OBS be controlled by hotkeys so I can use the stream deck?
I did not try this but I am pretty certain it can.

obs bot camera looking to get one of these bad boys in the future
Cool

30fps
Can this be used on any wifi capable cameras?

JFYI the subtitle captions seem to be for a different video.
You are not wrong. I will fix it.
AWESOME VIDEO!
Thanks!
Is there a more budget friendly way as these cams 500 bucks a piece
Your thumbnail has a 3D quality that is VERY enticing. I believe you have started a trend here. 😊
Wow, thank you!
Stages are always labelled from the perspective of the audience, so you have right and left backwards. 😛
The captions are for a different video. I think you uploaded the wrong file.
fixed. sorry about that.
The only thing if woukd set these up I would prefer static ip.
You could set them up that way.
Dude...did you pay the extra $99 for each camera's NDI license? Or did OBSBOT activate it for you?
I got the ndi license on my own.
@@MichaelFeyrerJr Oh good! Whew. Seeing that extra $99 threw me off when I went to use NDI. I'll never understand why we have to pay to use a free protocol. It feels the same as paying to use the SDI slot on my monitor.
Thanks for this.👏 You don't need a NDI licence (100 $/ camera ?
If you are using ndi connections those cameras will need the ndi license.
Clean your room - ha ha
:-)
