Most people recognise the flashy fast passages first, but I'm more impressed by the multistops and artificial harmonics that come afterwards. Those are actually harder to pull off right.
actually, i've found the opposite learning the piece. none of the stops are inconvenient, they're all very nice and tidy in simple positions. Artificial harmonics are also not a problem as well. They seem very flashy, but it's mostly just playing every note in tune with your first finger and adding the fourth above it. (Not saying these aren't tricky.) The fast parts on the other hand, are marked sautille. Sautille is a very demanding technique to pull off at this speed, and requires extremely precise bow control. It's not so much the notes are hard, but the bowing technique is very demanding. I really appreciate the fact that you pointed out many passages in the violin are much harder than they seem, and many times, they are, but in this specific piece, not so much.
For people saying theres a ton of rosin on the violin I think she does take proper care of her instrument when you reach that kind of skill at an instrument you know how to take care of it. I think she was just warming up before the performance so theres a bunch of rosin on it. It just shows how hard she works. :D
I literally came scrolling through comments to see if anyone said anything to help me figure out where I've heard Czardas before; at first I thought I'd heard it played by some neoclassical metal guitarist, but it turns out you gave me the correct answer, so thank you!!!
Violin teacher: Here, play this piece for competition in 4 months! Me: Oh sure just let me look it up and see what it sounds like. *Opens TH-cam* Me: ........... Me: ..................................... Me: Sh*t.
Everytime I listened to this it reminded me of a song but I just couldn't remember. After a few days I remembered, it sounds like the beginning of a song from Lady Gaga called Alejandro.
***** Yeah I mean they were definitely different, I guess they aren't for everyone. And of course i rarely watch music being played, I just open it up in another tab and do whatever else.
im going to be able to play this one day and one day i will come back to this comment and say i played it but i will work hard to be able to play this piece
Czardas: *exists* Lady Gaga: *hippity hoppity, your song's now my property* TwoSet violin: *must play more expressively 99 hours a day, 10 days a week*
Sameee i woke up this morning with the melody stuck in my head. I couldnt figure out the name of this piece but now, at 10:43 pm, i finally figured it out.
This video has a lot of character: from the page-turning pianist to the emotions of the violinist--just fantastic! And, to add to that, the song is really pretty...and makes for a wonderful visual performance. Thank you for this introduction!
I knew I couldn't be the only one here from Twoset... it's crazy to think how many more classical masterworks I know about now compared to before I started watching their videos!
At 1:05 a SACRILEGIOUS power. She plays the melody before hitting the strings, that's I N T E R E S T I N G (However I think Jennifer is a great violinist)
I think that the Audio is just out of sync with the video, it happens quite a lot... and plus with all the rosin on the violin the bow probably isn't oiled 😋😂
This is sublime, I almost prefer the slower parts... with those slides... they gave me goosebumps! But the whole thing is breathtaking. Thank you for sharing this amazing performance 👏
Yo sé cuando una violinista es una virtuosa, no solo cuando puede tocar el Czardas de Monti sino cuando logra imprimirle su personal sentimiento a la melodía como en el caso de Jennifer Jeon
Sometimes when I play this composition Czardas de Monti I don't know how to interpret it, you have inspired me a lot to know that I not only play but speak what I play, greetings from Peru
The most amazing love melody... ever. I have listened to your rendition so many times I can't remember and I am afraid I will again and again... and again...
I've always been so jealous of a musician truly enjoying their craft and talent. I only but wished for that when I picked up guitar, to enjoy the play for myself. Except I just suck at it regardless...

Those harmonics keep me up at night
Facts, I wouldn't listen to this half of the times I have if it wasn't for the artificial harmonics
It took me the longest to learn that part

That's about 3months worth of rosin tho
You can also tell cuz of the faint sound on the strings
@@edoblack3159 Absolutely not 3 months worth of rosin. Maybe if you practice once a week.
beth I practice 2 hours a day every and i dont get this much rosin a week 😂😂
@@something8886 Maybe its the type of rosin. I practice less than that and it builds up fast.
did she practice 40 hours a day?
Viola Gang Ikr? She's amaaaazing!
lingling can do better! maybe she is just practising 39 hours a day
Are you a fellow twosetter
We're everywhere...
@@foxy_rages3100 only the VIOLA can play this properly... I did.
I see TwoSet Violin fans are littering in the comments section 😂 hello my dear family

i laughed so hard XDXDXDXDXDXDXD YOU CAN CLEARLY HEAR IT XD
the vibrato is so stunning I WANT TO LEARN THE PIANO PART AND LEARN THE VIOLIN unfortunatley my mum thinks that piano is enough
i have no words, the best violin player has just like my comment!
A compliment from a girl!!!
@@hashbrownsandbaconandeggs252 professional piano playing is way more difficult than that... cool username tho
I want to do piano but my mum thinks violin is enough
Me too, even tho I play many instruments, I always fell I need to learn violin
I'm the exact opposite, my parents think violin is enough
I was today years old when I learned that Gaga used the opening violin from Czardas for the opener violin part in her song, Alejandro.
I literally came scrolling through comments to see if anyone said anything to help me figure out where I've heard Czardas before; at first I thought I'd heard it played by some neoclassical metal guitarist, but it turns out you gave me the correct answer, so thank you!!!
Good for you!
BTW, I'm still on 1st violin I'm 6 year old
And playing Czardas
One of my favorite czardas performances
try the David Garret version ..it's the best
really?
Clara cernat/Thierry hulliett version is the best imo
Genevieve Baker I love the Lakatos’ version

Not really
If it sounded like that i too would be happy when i play
That's a lot of rosin on the violin
Yes this is odd, really beautiful play, but the hygiene and instrument care is part of the game
Bridge is also.... heavily deformed..
Thought I was the only one who noticed all of these things.
me too haha.. i was scrolling through the comment section just to look for someone who notice it.. a beatiful performance btw
Why doesn't the music sync up?

can only imagine about the hours of practice, dedication and passion it takes for this performance!!
Siddharth Laxmeshwar ...and don’t forget Rosin. Great performance.
Yep
Look at those resin on her violin, she must have played violin for at least more than an hour for this video alone.
Usually a firt year vioinit cn play it... so no ttht long...
サイレントソウル I would love to see a first year play as written, on the g string and all that. Or the harmonics.
Everytime I listened to this it reminded me of a song but I just couldn't remember. After a few days I remembered, it sounds like the beginning of a song from Lady Gaga called Alejandro.
OMG yes that's what it reminded me of 😱
NO WONDER I THOUGHT ID HEARD IT BEFORE!!!!!!!

Значит, Леди Гага тоже любит классику и немного плагиатить!🙄😂🤣
Please never compare this to Lady Gaga. No matter how close it sounds.
I love how every violinist play this piece differently. It’s so charming and you can literally feel the emotion.
I like the camera angles very intimate and focused on the playing. That smile at the end, I'm beaming from ear to ear.

Violinists know how difficult that "slow" part with the harmonics truly is, compared to the 16th note runs
I agree the harmonics can't be done with poor violin conditions or bad rosined bow say the child of this phone
I agree. Its very good.
I felt that page turn in my soul

Just video and audio not together , about 1.00 until 1.15.

She certainly makes the violin sing. Beautiful tone.
This song is possibly as much fun to accompany as it is just to listen to.
I am speechless. The violin is played as if it is part of her body. She and the violin are one! You can since her mood as she is playing. Well done!!
So very lovely yet powerful! Thank you, Ms. Jennifer!

Dear Jennifer. Many thanks for playing with the heart. Your play's style makes me feel live!!!

BUT YAAAS IT IZ STILL HARD T^T
I’m learning it now, and it sounds soooo bad! Omg how did they do it? My life goals just- no-
the most musical performance I've encountered here so far. so much attention to details and so humanly telling the story with the sound. brava!
