Two set violin contributed more than any single artist in promoting classical music, especially violin music. They will be remembered for a long long time.
Agreed, especially Eddy's tone improved so much (refer to their Curtis audition episode). Brett's tone is always pretty decent but he is much more relaxed in this performance which makes the music more expressive and engaging.
Ok, but like why is no one talking about Sophie! She also played blindfolded (I think). All three of them did great! And Brett and Eddy's playing both def improved, a lot!
Thank you so much for uploading this. I ended up having to sell my London ticket due to surgery on a fractured wrist only the day before the concert. To say I was disappointed is an understatement....
Niice and fuun! Thank you for sharing this! For the people that cannot travel to see them live I'm glad you did and you shared. The day they visit Barcelona I'll be there hopefully, meanwhile... we will always have youtube 🙏
I have to admire them b/c (don't hate me for saying it), but they'll never be the best violinists in the world like Ray Chen or Hilary Hahn, though they are still exceptional. However, they have managed to make something that (again don't hate me) can be boring for a lot of people and bridge it to a new audience through comedy and entertainment. They took the resources they had and made the most of it. As a result, I think in the long run they'll have an even farther-reaching cultural impact than the top-tier violinists will.
Well, they might not be the best violonists in the world, but they achieved something that even the best violonists did not...to make people pay attention to classical music, even those who , at first , ignored this kind of music, due to these guys, ( discovering their channel and their videos) became fans of classical music...( at least those 4 mil subscribers...)
You are right that they will never be up there with the best, but that's not their goal. They are amazing musicians, but they don't want to be the best. They're passionate about music and want to help spread classical music and revitalize it to modern people.
Yeah for sure. The amount of people that they inspired to play an instrument. Even for me they were the people who got my passion up for playing violin, and not really much of the world class soloists.
Twoset have a very unique niche in the music world. They are definitely entertainers and very good at what they do. They are extremely talented even if they aren’t Ling Ling. (To use their language)
I wonder Eddy and Brett are going to be in 10 - 20 year's time. I don't think TH-cam will still be "all the rage" around 2035-ish. At least these guys made it to the stage already !
It would've been so much more awesome if Eddy and Brett got their hands on Lakatos and Rachlin's version of Czardas. Then it wouldn't just be octaves and gaps in certain sections.
Because it's ludicrously loud and only necessary due to the blindfolds? I thought it was funny. The thing is, they're both good enough violinists that they didn't need to do the "accidents" that come from being blindfolded, but they do them to highlight why good musicians need to watch each other when they play, especially for being in time when there are big tempo changes/fluidity.
@@ain4640 They didn't need blindfolds for that though. They just needed to agree on the tempi pre-performance. All they needed was their ears and agreed-upon tempo changes. That's all. Nothing difficult. That's probably why the performance worked out the way it did... There have been so many blindfolded pianists and they've been praised for how well they've done. Any decent musician can do that.

You mean for a ling ling time ;-)
I love the loud breathing for cues, since they cant see each other. Its hilarious!
Their playing improved… and I m jealous that I can’t see them live rip
Are you certain their playing was improvised?
@@respecttheduels7868 bro he said improved not improvised????

Rip??
Yeah, saw them in London and I was surprised how good they sounded.
I love how they took a loud breath to show when to start, since they were blindfolded, they couldn't lmake eye contact.
Funny too
I was nearly tearing up here cause it hit me that I saw them live AND they played this, which is my favourite piece ever!
They’re more in time blindfolded than I am with my stand partner😭
Huge props to the pianist! She did incredible!!
she's sophie oui oui XD

brett: when do I play?
*piano stops*
brett: hello?
eddy: it's your entrance bro
brett: OH SH- *enters*
Both of you are not only great violinists but another level of entertainers!!👏
Best musical comedy. High artistic niveau. Funny. These both have found their true metier.
Quite lovely! No really… blindfolded or not, a very nicely done Czardas!
I loved this. Sounded so good.
The synchronized foot tapping is kinda cute 😁
Thank you for sharing this bit of what was probably a great show, makes me regret even more that I can not attend any of the concerts this year!

listening this as a Hungarian....goosebumps ❤

These two are awesome together, as is their TH-cam channel!
Thank you for posting this!!! Now I can see them and myself in the audience
I’m so glad to be able to hear you play! I wish you could come to our town!!
Amazing!👍👍👍
Love you so much twoSet❤
Great job from the two❤
Awesome!!! Marvelous!!
it's wholesome and funny at the same time

Oh my goodness! 🤩🤩
This really was a perfect treat today! 😍😍
Thank you so much for sharing! 🙏😇
Your hard work is greatly appreciated. ☺ Take care. 🤗
Brilliant. ❤❤❤

I agree with you, except that I'm in awe if someone can tell the difference between their playing and the best. I can't.

Them being blindfolded just made the show so much better
Very nice i love it
Awesome!🎵🎶👏👏👏
Thank you for sharing this! The ushers at the Toronto concert were super strict at photography and recording, I didn't get to capture anything. :(
impressive! blindfolded as well
Bravo 👏
that gasp was so real
Sooo funny and sooo great!!!

bravo!
Thanks for the videos!!!!! Do you happen to have a recording of their Clair de lune? And if you do, can you pleaseeee upload it? ❤
Yeah, I have. I might upload it sometime.
Oh please 😍
I love the accidental twist by the pianist at 1:39... the note works, but it's not in the score.
Wow! You were in front row! Looks really close 😂
this seat you got must've been so expensive 😭 i got the second last row in london
I was expecting it to be more expensive tbh, but I’m not complaining🤣
🥺🥰
duet reminds of the Sarasate Navarra
they played that as well
This is hilarious 😂
I heard someone playing this on a recorder somewhere
It would've been so much more awesome if Eddy and Brett got their hands on Lakatos and Rachlin's version of Czardas. Then it wouldn't just be octaves and gaps in certain sections.
Ohhh? I’m new to violin music, are there different arrangements with different levels of difficulty or splits between the different instrument?
Does anybody know if there's a music sheet of the two parts or were two set just messing around w harmony?
Is their piano accompanist Sophie Oui Oui?
Yes
@@TheLingLingWannabe You should've replied "Yes yes" ;)
@@liamnevilleviolist1809 🤣🤣🤣
@@TheLingLingWannabe oh, nice
4:12 ❤
This is such a twoset thing to do
Succh FUN!
Interesting with no hearing the other to play, so it is easier. The other version would be more chaos.
I didn't realize that the pianist was also blindfolded 🙈
why is brett wearing glasses
Its a part of sleeping mask :)
And then He is playing! Artistic, Like a Kind of a cirque Artist!
Why is there laughter at 2:54 btw?
i think brett gestured with his violin to signal to the pianist so they can sync, but they're both wearing blindfolds lol
3:10 I get the there's gasping to indicate when to come in (for another musician).... but why is this SO funny to the audience?
